When your computer is running, all of the programs you are running at that moment are stored in RAM. RAM is much, much faster than storage, but when electricity isn't flowing through it everything stored in RAM is instantly destroyed. That's why you lose data when your computer shuts down unexpectedly.
When you hibernate, all RAM is transfered to storage before your computer shuts down. Next time you start your computer, it is restored to the exact state it was in. This takes a while(3-7 minutes), so you'll see it say "preparing to hibernate".
I recommend you not use hibernate too often. It's not good for security or stability. You can disable it in power options (start, run, powercfg.cpl).

Don't use bearshare. It uses the fasttrack network, the one _most monitored_ by copyright holders. You're 10x more likely to get caught on the fasttrack network than on the gnutella(limewire) network. Fasttrack also has the most malware, and I'm pretty sure bearshare comes bundled with malware. Razhie is correct about the legality.

Here's some useless info which DOES lead to my question.
I decided to block my Ex boyfriend on MSN about 6 months ago when we had been broken up for a month or so. (I did this to help the recovery process haha).
Anyway, I guess he didnt approve because one day I logged into MSN and he had disappeared from my contact list!
I bumped into him a few weeks later and exclaimed that he deleted me from MSN to which ge replied in a "sorry" manner "i know! :("
He didnt even wonder how I KNEW he had deleted me (because i THINK that if you delete a contact yourself on MSN, you are still on their contact list, right?).
Anyway in the following weeks I performed an experiment with my friend..i deleted her from both my hotmail AND MSN account to see if I disappeared from her MSN contact list...we left it a few days to see if I would be deleted instantly or not, but I STILL remained on her list 3 days later.
So the main question is : is it possible for a contact on YOUR MSN contact list to miraculously dissapear if the other person has deleted YOU.
By the way, this guy managed to hack into HIS friend's myspace account too... mainly because he knew the password, but he didnt know mine for my hotmail, - it's not an easy guess which i why im having a hard time understanding why his name dissapeared.
(it may sound stupid) but IS it more than likely the idiot hacked my hotmail account?!
This was my first thought but then I attempted to consider other possibilities.
(if he DID hack..that was the only strange thing to happen, everything else was totally normal within both accounts!)

You do have to color it repeatedly, probably about half your normal interval between haircuts. There are no such websites; we don't have the technology to automatically modify pictures like that.

I downloaded a movie (not on itunes) but I can't seem to import it there. what's wrong???
-Download and install mediacoder candidate release: http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/
-Open mediacoder and "add" the video file you just downloaded
-Click "..." in the upper right and choose your desktop.
-Click "extension"
-Click the "apple iPod" link under the second picture.
-Click "start".
-The video file is now on your desktop and you can move it to itunes normally

okayy well. when i open 'my pictures' it does not show the name of any file under it. but when i click the file, it shows the file name and all the names of the pictures. sooo how can i fix this?? how can i show the names of all the files that are there when i click 'my pictures' ?
Put your Windows XP Install Disk into your computer. Go to start, run. Type this:
sfc /scannow
and press enter. Let it scan. That should fix the problem.
If your computer didn't come with an XP install disk, I don't know of any way to fix it.

Don't use Buzzsaw-S, it's a waste of resources.
There aren't ever any advanced settings in a defragmenter. They do a somewhat complex task, but they always do it the exact same way every time. DiRMS has exactly 5 buttons in the entire program, but I know from experience that it is the most effective defragmenter there is.
Remember that defragmenters don't speed up a computer. They increase storage read speed, and that's it.

If yahoo 360 allows full HTML, the below will work. If it doesn't, it won't appear and there is no way to insert flash into your blog. There are spaces in all of the URLs between http:// and the rest of the URL; you need to remove that before you insert the code.

I have a Macbook, and I made a movie using iMovie, and I was wondering how you can turn a clip/voiceover into what sounds like a chipmunk-aka making it faster. My friend couldn't help me because she has an iMac so it's different, but how is it possible for me to speed up/slow down clips?
I don't think you can do that with iMovie. You can with Audacity, though:

I downloaded the Da Vinci Code off of LimeWire, but it has a little cone next to it. Does that mean that it can't be imported to iTunes?

That's just the icon for VLC media player. You or someone on your computer installed it, and so now all of your media files will have that next to them.

I have diff questions, but they're all about coding/html and stuff. I was wondering if anyone could give me links to any websites that teach you stuff about coding and html. If you don't complete the HTML and CSS tutorials _entirely_, you won't have a complete understanding of myspace layouts. If you do finish them, you'll have unlimited freedom to change your myspace page.
To position an image in an exact area, do something like this:
That image will be 100 pixels from the top of the page, and 20 pixels from the left. When doing that, remember that people have different sized browsers and screens. It's extremely bad form to say "please view this in 1024x768". I will immediately exit a page that says "you must use ...", and I think less of a page that says "best viewed in ...".

DIV layouts is a stupid term that newbies take to mean "easy layouts". In fact, every myspace layout is a DIV layout, because all CSS-based styles use DIVs, and all myspace layouts are CSS-based. To the novice, it may seem like I'm complaining about terminology and avoiding the question; I'm not. The term "DIV layout" simply has no meaning at all in most contexts, so I'm unable to give an answer.
Metadata indicates the design.illusional-x.net image was created with Adobe Photoshop 7.0. There isn't any metadata associated with the other image, so it's impossible to tell without asking.
