I wear a lot of black clothing. In fact, I'm almost always in black. I'm not attempting to be goth or anything; I simply like the colour in clothes and I feel it suits me. Occasionally I'll wear colours but for the most part I wear black. Ever since this though, I've copped a lot of critisism from people. So many people have asked me why I wear so much black. A couple of guys have said they'd like me better if I didn't wear so much black. One "friend" of mine even went so far to tell me I don't look good in it and to stop wearing it!
I just can't understand it. Why is it such a big deal? I'm a happy person, and am not goth at all. I just like black clothes. What should I do?
you shouldnt do much of anything. by people telling you what to wear- they are tryin to change you and conform you to what they think is right. personally- people have called me a prep because of the way i dress and the way i get my hair done- but i wouldnt take any of it to heart. dont change for anyone- and if they dont like it- too bad- theyre not the ones being themselves. good luck, hon.

my lips are swollen from being so chapped.. i try chap stick and it doesnt seem to make it better. what can i do?
well, i usually use carmex when my lips get chapped- but because they are swollen- i wouldnt recommend it because of the tingly feeling it gives off. i would suggest ordinary vaseline. it wont burn- or irritate your lips anymore, and it will keep them moisturized way better than chapstick. hope i helped!- good luck!

well, the cost depends on where you live, and where you go to get it. HOWEVER- i would like to warn you that when you go in as a minor- even with your parents consent- they might try and screw you over with the price. they did that with my eyebrow piercing when my dad took me to get it done when i was 14. it was supposed to be around 15 dollars- 20 with the eyebrow ring i chose. but they ended up charging us roughly 40 dollars. just check everything out, and make sure youre paying for what everyone would pay for it.
I'm really nervous that this weekend at the beach I will get my period. My mom hasn't got me tampons yet cause I haven't even had my period for half a year. I can't go in the ocean and stuff though. And I am really scared I will get it over the fourth of July at the beach when MY WHOLE FAMILY is there. I want to perticipate in stuff and not worry about my period. What can I do?
ask her if because youre not sure when youre going to get it, and because of the circumstances if she'll buy you lite tampons- just in case it comes. but watever you do- dont use a heavy or even a regular if youre not actually on your period. hope i helped!

its all about the label. this is kind of an odd question. - but im willing to tell you just how it is. many teens are in denial about 'the popularity game'- in all reality- people are shallow- point of the matter is that they are going to expect you to dress nyce to be popular. BUT- it doesnt always work that way. things are evolving- and times are changing. i never buy designer clothes unless i get them at a price that i would be willing to pay- or a price that is the same as i could get it at fashion bug, or dots. like, i found a 'squeeze' pair of jeans and a 'bongo' pair of jeans for 10 dollars a piece at jcpenney- so you bet i bought em. i think its jsut a matter of if you like spending loads of money on one item of clothing. im a true bargain hunter- i always sed tht even if i became a milionaire- id still shop the way i do- because i get more for my money.
In about one week, I'm going to North Carolina for Jr Beta Convention and my class is going to be going to a water park on about the third day of my period, given that it's on time. I don't really have a choice, so I HAVE to go to the water park, but my mom REALLY doesn't want me to use a tampon. She thinks I'm too young. I've looked it up and some sites say I can wear shorts over a red or a dark colored bathing suit. Mine is pink, I have black mesh shorts. They also say that when I get in the water, the flow should stop and the water should wash it away quick enough so no one will be able to tell. BUt what about when the class is walking around the water park? Is there anyway I can still have fun, not embarress myself, but not use tampons?
i would honestly wear a pad on your swimming suit until you get to the park. stop in the bathroom once you get there, and since its a waterpark, there will more than likely be a tampon machine in the bathroom- id buy one, and use it forthe day. skip what your mom says - theres no other way around it unless you want blood drippin down your legs all day.
My 17 year old daughter quit school, does not have a job--and does NOTHING around the house. She
does have money in savings which she has been blowing like crazy, but that's almost gone now. She lied to me about last night, said she stayed at a friends to babysit younger siblings, and I found out differently. The friends Mom doesn't even care that our daughters weren't there, so she is not much help. I don't know where my daughter is right now. When she comes home, I am going to tell her she cannot stay anywhere from now on. (she did this one other time and was grounded) I am prepared for a big fight from her, and she will probably leave without my permission. I am going to tell her that I will report her as a runaway.
However, then I have no clue what will happen next (if I get the law involved)
She might turn the story on me and say she is abused. (Which of course she is not) but she plays the role of the victim well, and threatened to call CPS another time when I put my foot down.
Her BF is 19 and lives in a bordering state, but is it against the law if he takes her across state lines? She is (17) and other people seem to think that would not be against the law because she is over 16.
So my questions are.
Is a relationship between a 17 yr old and 19 yr old legal?
What happens when a 17 yr old is reported as a run away?
Does CPS automatically believe a teenager who plays the victim?
um- this is kind of tough. i want to say i kind of have a little experience with this- but its kind of in a different way. well, a relationship between a 17 year old and 19 year old is pretty much legal. now, thinga are much different if they are having sex. if you ever find out, and have visible proof that they are sexually active, then you can pres charges against him even if she did consent to it. when a child is reported as a runaway itstaken very seriosuly. thats why i wouldnt recommend doing this when she doesnt come home- ifthings get bad enough- send her off to a relative- thts what my dad did- althoguh i didnt get into trouble- he jsut got tired of me. and i dont believe that they would just automatically believe her- she would have to have visible proof that she 'is infact getting mistreated'. whic hshe wouldnt have. by law, you, as a parent have the right to corporl punishment- meaning even if you were to hit her out of anger, as long as its not in an abusive matter- theres nothing she could do about it. but as it seems, you arent hitting her at all. in all honesty, i would suggest saving up some money to send her to a boot camp of some sort. by law, she would have to go- becuase youre her parent. unless her 18th bday is coming up soon- but if it is- she seems like the type of girl thats going towant to move out the minute she turns 18. just be the mother, and YOU tell her wht she can and cannot do- and to tell you the truth- if MY daughter dropped out of school- i def. wouldnt be lettin her sty at my house still. hope i helped. and good luck.

dont go for her first- check it out eith your boy- see how he feels about it. if hes kewl with it- then go for it, man!- but if hes not- id steer clear of your 'feelings' for her unless they are real strong.
Ok, here's the dealio...woah, this is really weird but I have a boyfriend and his best friend is going out with my best friend. So once I wasn't in my right mind and made out with his best friend. He found out. He got mad inside but didnt tell me how mad he was until today. Then he and my best friend made out kinda like to get back at me. This is a long distance relationship by the way, but only by like 40 minutes. We all sat down and talked and know how truely sorry everyone is. My best friend and her boyfriend and I are all being very forgiving because we believe that everyone deserves a second chance. My boyfriend, however, is not being so forgiving. I want to donate 10 inches of hair to Locks of Love. I've done it once and the haircut was free but it was at a really lame haircut place. Do most salons (nicer ones) cut it for free if its for locks of love? how can I know who does and who doesn't? thanks.
i believe fantastic sams does, and boricks does, too. but you can also get it cut anywhere you want- and just send it in to locks of love on your own- the only thing is that you have to have them put it in a pony tail before they snip the hair off, and it cant be wet. thats the only way theyll accept it. hope i helped!
Okay, so I like this guy alot. And I heard he likes me too (he told my friend that i was hot and sent me 6 messages asking me who i liked), so I called him the other day and his sister picked up. So I asked if he was home and she said to me, "He's in the shower. And I dont mean to sound rude but he's not supposed to have girls calling him and he really doesnt like you that way." I got so upset I just said "Okay, I'm sorry, I didnt know." and hung up. Then I just felt sad for a long time. But I still really like this guy! And I dont know if his sister was lying or not. Okay, theres this guy that likes me, and i know he likes me cause he told all of his friends he did, but he didn't ask me out. How do you apply a cover concealer? A corrector. It's green so I dont know how to apply it on my blemishes, etc. Because it just stays green whenever I try to rub it in.. and my face peels wherever I put it on, so blending doesn't seem to work?
ive never used one- but try mixing a little with some regular concealer. it might work that way. hope i helped
Does that acne treatment by neutrogena -actually- work? Because I've used it on my acne and it's making it worse and all dried out. It seems to be making my acne stay around LONGER. i've had acne in the same spots for MONTHS. i dont know how to get rid of it. there's some red spots on my skin, no bumps or whiteheads. i dont know how to get rid of it.
well, everyone's body reacts different to different medicines. i would suggest seeing a dermatologist to find out which one is right for you. she may even be able to prescribe a stronger medication for you. (thts what mine did) hope i helped!
