i was in teh same situation once, and it did turn to physical abuse. and i thought the same way you did, and he ended up dumping me and breaking my heart.

i think you should go as far as you are both comfortable. if one of you feels pressured to do anything, thake a step back. if you feel that you can trust your boyfriend very strongly, then you should move foward. but think over your decisions cause they might have a bad outcome if you go to far to fast.
