Today we had to watch an "educational movie" in English and it was about drinking and driving. Well, the cop made a guy take the breathing test thing and on the machine it said, "please blow". My friend and I found that amusing so I decided to write "please blow" on his leg and draw an arrow pointing up (immature yeah, what high school kid isn't?). My teacher then came over and asked us what we were doing. I told him nothing and that I was just writing on my friends leg. He read what was written and wrote both of us up as a level 2 offence. That gives us a Saturday detention. We thought it was so unfair because I mean seriously, how does that deserve a Saturday D-hall? Should we try to fight back with our AP and tell him what we think or should we just take the punishment and go?

You should go to the AP because it's up to him whether or not he finds that offensive. Maybe the AP will lessen the offense. Good luck.

Okay well, this is just curiousity but.. condoms are only like 95-97% effective if they don't leak and are used properly.. but if they dont leak or anything like that how would you get pregnant if all the cum stays inside of the condom. like how is that other 3 or 5 percent a possibility

Often, believe it or not, they are used incorrectly. Nothing is 100%, and if someone did get pregnant off of something 100%, then we'd have a fun lawsuit.

Hey! I'm in my first year of college, and I'm having trouble. It's honestly hard for me to pay attention in class. All teachers do is lecture, lecture, lecture, give a test, and repeat it all over again. I TRY to pay attention and take good notes, but it's never good enough. I've failed half of my tests so far. And since I have 4 more tests coming up within the next 3 weeks, I'm really nervous about those too. You HAVE to do good on tests, because really, that's all your grade is. A bunch of tests.

Does any one have any good study tips for college? It's also hard because they don't give study guides like they did in high school, so I never know what material to study. I really don't know if college is for me. The way I passed high school with As and Bs was..I'd do all the work given, do bad on the tests, and it'd average out to a B. I'm not used to studying. I try, but it doesn't work. Any advice? Thanks.

Watch the teacher. It makes it not as boring because you are focused! Also, if the teacher will allow, tape record the parts of lectures that will be beneficial to the test. If you miss it, just say it into the recorder, quietly.

Become outgoing! Like today, my crush asked me to be quiet and we were talking for awhile. Guys, in my opinion, like gils the can talk to, and I know that I don't really talk to people that are quiet. Become more outgoing.

It depends. For me? No. Use John Frieda Brilliant Blonde, Brilliant Brunette, or Radiant Red (depending on your hair color) every other day. Straighten your hair on the other days, and don't wash it.

There's this guy in one of my classes and he's really cute...and I know that he notices how I just animate a room when I walk into it. I've ehard him say, as I started talking to someone else that the room just got more interesting. That day we walked and talked for like 5 min in between classes. I guess that's my advice. Play up the traits that you think/know he likes notices, but do so without changing yourself. Drop another one if you need more help or clarification!!

Striaghtned hair actually stays better on greasy hair. Straighten your hair 3 times/week, and use NO product. Use a shower cap to take a shower. If you have oily hair, then do it every other day.

Ok 4 about 2 weeks I have been loosing alot of weight! I mean like I have lost 7 or 8lbs in that time period. What I have been doing is not eating ANYTHING from 7:00am to 3:30pm and I have pratacly been starving my self. When I think of Food I get so hungray. But I don't feel like eating. I weighted 220lbs and now I weigh about 212. Is this healthy. I eat when I get home. No Smartasses please. Thanxs

Okay, I'm one of those people who hates homework questions, but for some reason I'm in honors english 2 this year, I don't know how I made it, but I did.
Anyway, we have a definition paper, and I have to have the intro paragraph done by Monday. Well I've asked around, and have an okay idea of what a thesis statement is, but I'm still confused on how to come up with one. It's a definition paper, and though I would rather just get help on writing it, as in, I'm not asking for answers, just help on making one. My word is hate, because we had to pick a word to describe the holocaust.

But really what I'm asking is how can I come up with a thesis statement for that. I'm not saying "do my homework" feel free, I don't care, but if you come up with the thesis statement for me, at least tell me how you got it. Please, my teacher doesn't have internet at home so I can't e-mail her. I will love you forever, and I always always always rate!

A thesis is like a topic sentence for your paper in general. An analogy that I like to use is a road map. For the word hate, you could say something like: Hate is not beneficial today, and it never has been. Hate has evolved from something rare to something extreme and intense:so intense that it led to 11 million murders.

I usually write 2 sentences. I get 100%s on all of my papers/essays, so lemme know. When you rate, me please tell me if you liked it!

Today I did crunches and it really hurt my neck. I think that is a sign that I did it wrong...or is that normal? I've recently started working out, like really recently (this was only my 7th time) and I was wondering is it because I'm getting used to it now, is it because I'm doing it wrong or something? I did 70, btw.

You're doing the wrong. Use your hands to support your neck but keep your elbows parallel to the floor. Looking straight up helps too. Don't do so many at once.
