my friend Natalia said you were awesome at this advice thing, so i figured id come talk to ou about this problem i have.

ok, i like this guy, but none of my friends understand. theyre always sayin "so,shannon, who do you like?" and when i tell them, they always say "ew..he's so ugly though!!" now personally, i dont think its all about the looks. this guy is super sweet to me, one of the last gentlemen left on the planet(he opens doors for me all the time!!) but part of me cant help but listen to my friends. does this make me a bad person? i mean, i like him, but then i dont want to be with him bc of what my friends think. its like im worried about the rep, ya know? am i wrong to ignore my feelings for him bc of my friends, or should i ditch the friends for the guy?? please help, im soo confused. thanks hunni!! youre a lifesaver.

I know EXACTLY what you're going through! So I know it's really hard to not worry about what your friends think b/c well..they're your friends& they matter to you. But sometimes you're gunna have to get over that& make decisions on your own. I say go for him, and try hard not to worry about what your friends think about him or you dating him. After all, YOU'RE the one who'd be dating him, not them:]And no it does NOT make you a bad person for worrying about your reputation, almost everyone does it whether they admit to it or not. Yet, it is somewhat wrong for you to ignore your feelings for him b/c of what your friends think of him. Give him a shot, you'll thank yourself in the long run for it. Hope I helped! :] -Amber

Ok... so there is this guy, he is a senior. I am a freshman. He came over to my house this afternoon and at first we sat across the room from eachother and then he threw a pillow at me and the we got in a pillow fight and then my dad came downstairs and told me to behave so "adam" says yea sit down and behave and pointed to the seat next to him, so I say down, then he put his arm around me and we just flirted around for and hour. Do you think he likes me?

It seems like he does, but alot of guys do things like that just to be flirty, b/c that's just how they are. But to me, I think he likes you. Don't get your hopes up too high though, you might end up getting hurt. Seniors have fantastic ways of out-smarting freshmen..lol! You can flirt back if you're interested, just be careful! :]

Ok. I want to lose 100 pounds or more in about 1 -3 years. Will this make me lose 100 pounds. For breakfast all I eat is cereal. Then I have gym for 4th period. Which 2/5 days I walk about a mile or more. For lunch I have a sprite and sometimes chips. Then for dinner I have whatever my parents make. Then after dinner I do 35 sit ups, 50 squats. 30 jumping jacks. Also, I do watch what I eat. I drink water most the time and sometimes Ill have a pop. I usally only have 1 pop a day. Is there anything else I should do to help me? And do you think that'll make me lose 100 pounds in 1 - 3 years? Ok thanks.

For breakfast, choose a cereal with less sugar than what you eat now, I've realized cereal has tons of sugar in it, which will turn into fat. Also maybe you should have a healthier lunch. Sprite& chips have LOADS of sugar in them& depending on when you have gym, you might have it before lunch..so you wouldn't be working off the calories/fat you gained from lunch. I can't really tell if this will help you lose 100lbs though, it's hard to say. Hope I helped!

what should i do

1. Tampons..or just don't wear a thong while you're on your period.

2. Talk to your mom& just tell her it looks WAYY better than having panty-lines showing through your pants everyday.

3. They shouldn't tease you about it, it's YOUR choice& YOUR comfort, not theirs.

4. Buy one& keep it at a friends house.

erm...ok, I'm 13/f/ca, and next year I'm going to be a freshman in Highschool, I'm wanting for hopfully some...encouraging words. I"ve heard this kid saying I'll trashcan me cuz then he'll be a seinor. Do Seniors really make your Freshman year a living hell? how bad is it really? I need the truth really, cuz some people say you're never trashcaned in highschool, and others say Seniors are made to make Freshmans lives year a living hell.

I'm a freshman and I've never been trashcanned. Most seniors just say that to scare you, but others just do it for fun. A couple of my friends tried to but they didn't succeed :] No worries, they're just trying to freak you out. And no, they don't make your freshmen year a living hell. So far it's my best year, they say they're gunna do things, but then never end up doing them. I heard seniors were gunna throw fish heads& what not at all the freshmen at a pep rally..but it never happend! Have fun!:]

Hey, please help me. (14/m) I was with this girl and a friend of mine, and we were all just hanging out, the girl that i was with is my girlfriend, but she's been since Thursday. She really is kind of creeped out by my friend because he likes her, but she won't like him because she likes me, and we're going out. Now my friend (we're going to call him F from now on) is good friends with my gf. Anyways, my gf and I were holding hands and everything until about 6:15 (PM), where my dad was going to drive up and pick me up. So right before he drove up, I asked her, "Hey.. (Gf's name here)... can I kiss you?" (Well my friend was making 2 fists and showing like making them kiss, and he wanted us to, so I asked) Anyways my gf says "Uhhh no," in kind of a laughing way, not meant to be mean, but she still meant no, so I said "Ok.." In kind of a quiet voice, and then my dad drove up as I waved goodbye. My question is, how come she said no? I don't know if maybe F was making her nervous or she wasn't ready or she was scared, or other things like that. Could someone please help me out, and explain to me what I did wrong and/or maybe give reasons why you think she said no?

Well usually guys don't ask to kiss the girl, they jsut do it. That could be a reason, but I'm not sure. She could've been nervous or just not ready. Either that or maybe she felt uneasy b/c "F" was there& she knew he liked her. Sorry if that didn't help!

Ok... one of my best friends just left from SC and moved to FL. I miss hime soo much. His parents kicked him out of the house and I loved him but while he was here I was afraid to tell him and now that he is gone I wish I had. Yea, since you didn't do it while he was still there..I guess calling him& telling him would be the next best thing to do! A little over a year ago I started dating Alex. She was everything I ever wanted in a girl...and then some. For 9 months I enjoyed the best relationship I had ever shared with anyone. I loved her more than anything...

Over last summer she had to go to South Carolina for a month. We talked a few times on the phone while she was there. She wished me a happy birthday when it came, and during the last week she was there she told me how excited she would be to see me again.

When she finally came home early August, she told me she was too tired to see me when she had just gotten back. I understood; she had been on a couple of planes since 5 in the morning and in a car as well.

And we didn't see each other for a whole week.

And at the end of that week, she broke up with me.

During those next three months we spent a bit of time together anyway. There were times when we would snuggle up, and we even kissed a few times. For a while, it had felt like nothing had changed. But for the last couple of weeks, we had both been too busy and I did not have the option to go see her. I decided that it was pathetic to refuse to date other people just because of the slim opportunity she might take me back. I decided to get over it and just stop trying.

She had asked me a while back to look for a couple games for her, and I had found and bought one. I just wanted the chance to take it to her. A couple nights ago I went over there and gave it to her, and hung around for a while. I really wasn't very happy while I was there...being at her house made me feel too nostalgic and brought back too many memories. I told her "just being here makes me depressed...I'm going to go." She called my name as I walked out the door, and I turned back and said weakly, "I love you."

I went to my car and sat in the seat for a minute. And then I started to cry. It's all I could do. After I realized that I would not be able to drive since I could not see, I went back inside and cried on her shoulder. She comforted me as she always does.

3 months after the breakup and it's still obvious I am not over her. No matter where I am or what I am doing, I think about her. I have never loved anyone like I have her. Forgetting about her is not an option. I haven't been able to date other people yet. I have told her how I feel. What else is left?

Aww! Hun all you can do is ask her how she feels towards you. She obviously knows how you feel now, and you CAN'T get over her. That's completely understandable, and very tough at the same time! how do i lose weight if i always say im going to go on a diet but i never do because when i try to go on a diet somehow so many yummy junk foods come around.. i wanna not eat at all so i can be as skinny as mary kate olsen but i dont know how!? heelpp!!

Well number one..starving yourself doesn't actually make you skinnier. Believe it or not, it makes you gain weight b/c your body uses the fat that was already stored, and it slows your metabolism wayy down so it can store whatever food is put into you, so take that off the list. Just start eating healthier foods& hopefully you get hooked on them. I don't exatly know how you can get to be just skin& bones, just try harder to stay away from the fattening foods i.e pizza& sweets! Goodluck!:]
