since the last few months i noticed that whenever i stroke my hands through my hair really fast, hair comes out. Its not like really thick hunks of hair though. Theyre like about 2 inches and theyre reallly reallly thin..... like reallly thin.
but am i losing my hair?
i dont think it could be genetics because my dad and mom dont have balness or hair fall. my dads 48 and he still hasnt gone bald.
but teh weird thing is... my hair looks totally normal!!!! I still spike it everyday before school and shampoo and shower/ whatever. Its still looks normal......its just whenever i fluff my hair, little thin hairs fall out.

My cousin is having a birthday soon and he sent me an invitation to this birthday party. I know that for girls the 16th birthday is really, really special--you know, "Sweet 16!" and all of that. Well, I assume it's just as important to guys now to have a good 16th birthday. I really want to get him something nice that he will enjoy, use, and appreciate. I even thought about a guitar but I'm not sure about that even because, again, he's 16 and I have no idea what a guy wants at that age.
Does anyone have some really good suggestions? I'm willing to go a couple of hundred dollars if needed...maybe even like 300 if it's something super good...so price isn't much of a problem. Ideas?
$300. on a gift for a cousin seems a bit rich. I don't spend that much on my husband I thought about some cloths or even a voucher to buy cloths from a surf shop or cool Sunglasses. Music CD or an Ipod Speakers accessories to something he already has. bangle.necklace. earing if he has them pierced. tools of his trade. If he cooks get him a wok or quality saucepan or cook book etc. If he has a car seat covers, crystal trinket to hang off the review mirror. lottery ticket... Good luck enjoy the party

my menstral cramps are absolutely terrible, like the first day they hurt so bad i'm like screaming. midol doesn't do much and neither does tylonol or anything really. i've heard that birth control helps it? but my mom won't let me get on bc because she says it causes breast cancer. (i was also thinking about birth control because i want to start having sex with my boyfriend of 2 years and i want to be safe) but yeah do you think birth control would be a good idea for me? what are some of the side effects and how can i convince my mom to let me on it? thanks
Birth control pills will be benificial but you have to take them for a long time and smokers are the worst effected by side effects. When I was young I used a hot watebottle against my cramps this was very helpful in relieving pain. Hope this helps

My mom recently stopped buying our usual bread and has picked up some wheat breads to try out. I think they taste totally different but not bad. I asked her why we are changing to this new bread and she told me that wheat bread is healthier than white bread. I, of course, asked her how it is healthier and she didn't really know but told me that I should find out. I looked around but I think the explanations might be a little too confusing because I can't really grasp WHY the bread is considered a healthier choice. Could someone PLEASE explain this to me?

hi! im a 19/f and i just have something im curious about. im 5'6" (which is pretty tall for an asian girl haha) and i really love wearing heels! (most of my heels are 3-4 inches high). but i always feel so self conscious because im so tall in them when i go out (5'10" pretty much). whats your opinion? am i just being stupid? or should i just wear flats for the rest of my life? :/ thanks!~
Embrace your hieght I am 5'2" Grrr. Guys like high heels, heels are sexy, models are tall unless your hunched over your very lucky to be tall. I have to ask people in the supermarket to get things off the highest shelf Grrrr. Embrace it. Hope this helps you feel better

boys, and their unfamiliar antics. !17/f, this guy that i sort of like is a sophomore at my school he is supposed to be a junior, i think he's 16...he has a girlfriend, and she lives in a town close to ours but she is going to college. she also will not let me talk to him or hang out with him alone. honestly, yeah i like him but id NEVER let anyone cheat on anyone else with me, and i was just learning to play the drums from him. he told me he doesnt feel comfortable hanging out with me alone because he doesnt want to chance it, and i told him theres nothing to worry about because id never want to hurt someone the way ive been hurt...(my first love cheated on me) and he said fine, he asked his girlfriend if he could hang out with me and she said no. so now im stuck with him not being a friend and he barley event texts me anymore..i didnt do anything wrong, what is up? he swears bekka (his girlfriend) is the one. i totally understand but why doesnt he want to be my friend?
Bekka is not convinced you won't cheat I believe you won't because people who have been cheated on all understand the pain too well to ever inflict it onto another. The boyfriend can't fully trust himself with you either. I suspect that the boyfriend may even get a tad henpicked for anything out of her order. Sad for everyone. so there's this guy who i like for almost 2 years now, he's indian and I just found out the other night that he's going to have an arranged marriage. The relationship we have is kind of weird, were not friends but we talk sometimes on msn or facebook. So this all started from grade 11 business class, i use to see him staring at me constantly and i always wondered why he would. Then i started noticing him and then i had a little crush on him. so i told him through e-mail that i liked him but he didn't believe me then he told me that he had a girlfriend. But even after he told me that, he would still stare at me in the hallways when i walked by, or in class or sometimes when i walk by him, he'll act like he doesn't see me until i look back to look at him, i see him looking back at me at the same time. I started asking people he knows if he had a girlfriend and they said no. So i thought it was just the easy way out of telling me that he doesn't like me. In March 2009, i started to get over him because i didn't see the point anymore. But then when prom came around, i noticed that he kept on staring at me for the whole night, even when i was dancing with other guys. Then finally i was by myself and i was standing near him and i felt him coming closer and closer to me and all of a sudden he grabbed me by the waist and we started dancing. While we were dancing, he folded his hand into mine. He also asked me to slow dance with him and while we were slow dancing; he kept rubbing my lower back and butt. From that night, i honestly thought he liked me back because i was the only girl he danced with that night and there were so many other girls he could have danced with, and plus i said that i wanted to atleast dance with him at prom because i would never see him again. so 2 days later my friend and him were talking on facebook and me and him dancing came up in the conversation and he told me friend that he didn't want to give me the wrong intentions so i left him an offline message saying that he didn't give me the wrong intentions and that i danced with other guys and that he wasn't the one who made my night(which was obviously a lie). so i felt bad about the message so then the next day at school i told him how i truly felt and he was smiling for the whole time. I thought everything would end from there but in mid summer, he sent me a "poke" and a message on facebook saying "what's up?".After that, we haven't spoken to eachother. so now that i know that he's going to have an arranged marriage, how do i get over him? and do you think he atleast felt something from what i just wrote? sorry it's so long, just had to get that out
Arranged marriages are tricky but they actually work out well for the couple in question. If you don't know much about them the couple are chosen at birth who to marry as to the blood line and family tree, very serious stuff for cultures whodo this method. They are pretty much both virginal too and may not meet till bethoval. I believe he was attracted to you and prom was like a now or never for him to dance and romance you as little as it was he will remember for all time. Cherish the memory move on to a guy who's not so complicated.

texing is time consuming can they land line phone each other? that would get the conversation rolling and productive at least I know this is a bit old fashioned but it really works well.
People who talk about the weather have nothing to talk about unless they study metorology.
What, where, when, how & why are all good questions starters that will get people talking if the answer is limited say "more information" or "please do go on". one has to be interested in the conversation so topics of interest will work better than uninteresting stuff. hope this helps

I was at work the other day and someone came through my line at the store (yeah, I'm a cashier). Anyway, he was buying some toothbrushes and toothpaste and I asked him if the toothpaste tasted good because I am trying to find something new to switch to because the one I'm using right now really sucks, I think. So, he started telling me that brushing my teeth helps to prevent heart attacks when I am older and stuff. I don't know if this is true though and it sounds a little weird. I don't want to ask someone around me and sound really stupid though because I mean...your teeth? Brushing preventing HEART attacks? Uhmmm...
Does anyone know if there was any truth to that or was he just talking?
Never heard of that one before. I know brushing your teeth stops tooth decay and loss of teeth Now that would give me a heart attack. LOL I think he was having a lend of you or he is very naeive. I read in a mag once about silly males a boy was cleaning his car and was having trouble with a certain mark on the paint so his mother said "use some elbow grease". Could you please decide the perfect guy in your eyes? Any and all details would be appreciated. I'm trying to help my best guy friend improve himself and get the girl of his dreams but he needs a lot of work. I think you should work out what type of chick is he looking for... he may date 10 or more similar but different girls before he finds his princess. He has to know what he desires then work around that image. He's still young so he may not have a great deal of charm going on at the moment but that comes with practice. A make over is a good start he has to choose a style that suits him & his lifestyle. eg; surfies don't wear suits and buisiness guys don't wear thongs they wear sandles. take him shopping Teach him ettiquette eg you don't slurp your soup in a restaurant elbows off the table. open car door etc. lifting wieghts is always confident building for a guy. How do I get over a cold quickly? I started the coughing and runny nose like two or three days ago and I need something that will help this cold shorten so I can have a good weekend. Any suggestions on how to make a cold go away quicker?
The only thing that works well for me is cold & flu tablets. However, I also eat a teasppon spoon of garlic 3 times a day which is a natural anti- biotic, drinking orange juice leading up to cold & flu times is benificial at keeping colds at bay anti-bacterial hand wash regularly. chillies I eat something with hot chillies to flush my body.Hope this helps

My mom has been smoking for SO many years and I really hate it because it's getting harder for her to breathe and I see that. She even has that smoker's cough now and it's disgusting. I talked to her about it last week and she said she is ready to stop smoking and start taking better care of herself. She is afraid of the withdrawals though and is nervous that she won't be able to stop. How can I help her to stop smoking? What is the best way to stop smoking. I told her there were lots of stop-smoking methods but she wants the full "plan" before she makes a decision on what she is going to prepare to do. I'm really proud of her for making this decision and I'm glad I brought up my concerns to her about smoking. Please help me help her!
My Mum had emphaseimia and she had to have oxygen 24 hours a day so she was house bound for 8 yrs. before she passed away She contracted a virus in the end. The withdrawals are nothing compared to burying her. She has to be committed to stopping can you take her to a hospital & visit someone who is dying from smoking that's a good wake up call. Put signs around the house no smoking, smoke free zone buy mints put them in a bowl on the table, patches are quite good we have a QUIT LINE in Australia. Have her cut down by monitoring intake She can have a ciggy on the hour if she forgets to she has to wait for the next hour soon she will be going 1/2 the day with out one then 2 days and so on reward her with money she could have smoked by something nice to wear get her hair done etc. Video her coughing her guts up and smoking like a chimney show her what it looks like from your perspective. I'm going to a concert to see one of my favorite bands with my best friend but I have no idea what I should wear! Torn jeans? A band shirt? I know we'll be dancing and jumping around a lot though and my friend might even try to do a mosh pit because she's really crazy like that haha
Should I do my hair? If so, what style would be best for this? I don't want to look stupid by the end of the night. Should I do my make-up? I guess if I do my make-up I should do it like the nighttime clubbing style, right? I don't think I can really take a purse with me with my make-up so whatever I do, I won't be able to touch-up during the concert. Any help, please?

When I try to let my fingernails grow out they always break and then they look really awful and uneven. I hate it. I am a cashier and I think that is part of the problem because they always seem to start breaking at work when I'm lifting lots of bags, cases of pepsi, or something around those lines. Is there any way I can strengthen my nails so that they don't break or have much less breakage? I want to have nice, long, beautiful nails but they always end up looking damaged. Is there something I can take, eat, or apply?
My mum always told us to eat our Jelly it will make your fingernails strong. That not Jam I mean Jelly as in geletine that wobbly stuff that red, green,blue & yellow you eat with icecream.
I have weak nail, I didn't eat all my jelly obviously so I use a product called HARD AS NAILS you buy it from the chemist it's like clear nail polish this is a strong coating to harden them up This is good for strengthening fingernails. Hope this helps Good luck

Long story short, I am insecure, and I have dated my bf for about 2 years now. We even live together due to certain complications lol. But, I hate when I start a debate and end up finding out obvious things like the fact that he looks at other girls, especially areas quite uncomfortable. And all he says is "I try to look away, and distract myself, which I do, by finding some other guy who looks stupid staring at the girl". It really gets me jealous... My little nephew is the cutest thing ever. He's really adorable. His mom has been buying him baby dolls to play with though and I don't know if that is right. When i was young i rememember being sexually child abused a multiple of times it was by friends of the family, it must have started from when i was 5 to i was about 8 i mind being held down by this one man.then his foster brother used to do it too, the man that held me down on table to rape me still talks to my parents and his foster brother was murdered 10years ago and i cryed with glee more than greif at his funeral im now 23 and its been in my head for years ive never spoken to now, im so sure my sister was abused too tho im afraid to mention it too her even tho we are close because if it didnt happen to her then i no she will go straight to him and bring everyting up again, i dont want to cause conflict in my family as there has been enough tho i wish to a speak about it to clear my head, i find it hard to get close too people because of this and have never lasted long in a relationship, although i now have a gorg little girl of 10 motnhs and i am very protective over her i dont let her out of my site, i dont wish to be a mother than can't let her child have freedom, tho in this life u can never trust people around a child.

I recommend you discuss with your sister if she was abuded then you approach Mum together. Your an adult now you have nothing to be afraid of he has everything to fear because he should be in jail for his crimes against child/ren. When we don't talk about it he is free to continue with other children. Paedophiles have no shame or guilt for the depravity they conduct. The child serves a purpose to satisfy they have not care as to your pain then or for anytime they are truly malicious people. Your justice will come when you send him to jail for crimes against you as a child. He should not be walking the streets. The fact that he talks to your mother should spell out he has no problem with his conduct with you. Get suport see a rape crisis centre they should be able to guide you sometimes you just got to open up that can of worms in order to survive a crisis. So long as that can of worms is closed he got away with it. You have to deal with this through the courts seriously he is probably doing it to other children save them. There's this guy in my school and I didn't know much about him until the Winter Formal dance and he danced with me twice! well, i didn't think much of it cuz that happens all th time but then he came to my play and said i did really good and laughed at my lame jokes. This is where it gets weird that night I dreamed about him that I was going out with him. I had that same dream 3 nights in a row.
