getting over a cold faster...how to stop a cold in it's tracks!
Question Posted Thursday October 1 2009, 7:33 pm
How do I get over a cold quickly? I started the coughing and runny nose like two or three days ago and I need something that will help this cold shorten so I can have a good weekend. Any suggestions on how to make a cold go away quicker?

However, I also eat a teasppon spoon of garlic 3 times a day which is a natural anti- biotic, drinking orange juice leading up to cold & flu times is benificial at keeping colds at bay anti-bacterial hand wash regularly. chillies I eat something with hot chillies to flush my body.Hope this helps [ Daintree's advice column | Ask Daintree A Question ]

Little things like cough drops and chapstick will make you more comfortable. If you're okay with taking medicine for it, DayQuil/NyQuil (or the generic equivalent) are absolutely fabulous, and will make you feel tons better. However, I recommend taking half the recommended dose of NyQuil the first time, and taking it a couple hours before you need to sleep, to figure out how much your body will react to it. Some people get knocked out for hours.
