My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age


and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

it all depenends on what brand and stuff you use. they will help you tan faster yes but some are more effective than others. well anything under $10 prob doesnt do anything and to get the best results you need to buy a tanning lotion that is like $40-50. check where ever you tan. either someone working there can reccomend something or they will sell the good brands right in the place. or you can just ask a really tan person lol

i'm 15 years old & i haven't gotten my period for about two months. i've been having it since september 2004 & it's been sort of normal for about 8 months. i'm a virgin & i know this is going to sound extrememly juvenile but is there some way that i could be pregnant without having sex? as i said, i don't mean to sound juvenile but i've heard people say things like, "it's in the water" & is it actually possible? i'm just really nervous, & i'm racking my brain for an answer. could it just be that my period isn't on time? i haven't really been eating any differently. please don't treat me like an idiot, i'm just scared.

dont worry you arent preggo! i have the same problem. i just turned 16 last month and my period has been extremely irregular and ive had it for 3 years. i would say if its not normal at all my the time you turn 17 see a doctor. thats what my doc said. she said ebcause i was alteast getting my period everyone once and a while i was okay and if it didnt get any better within 6 monthes she was going to put me on birth control (it regulates or your periods)

Well, I am about 4'10" and it is mostly legs. I have really long legs and I'm skinny, maybe about 83 or 84 pounds or so. I am under 14 yrs. old if that helps. Well it is really hard to find pants that fit right. I just want some pants that fit me in the thighs and butt and are long enough so I can atleast wash them and they will still fit really well. Because I used to wear 10 slim put they are way to short in the length. My thighs are pretty small and so is my butt. I am trying to gain weight but it isn't helping.
I just want some jeans that are long and fit nice. So if anyone can help me in anyway with that, or if you have tips that would be great!

well start wearing juniors. i used to be the same way. i was like 5'0" when i was in elementary school and i still wore girls size and i could never find a pair that fit. well my siter is your size so you prob wear about what she wears. she wears a 0 or 00 is juniors (sorry if you have a hard time finding them some stores dont carry pants that small) and sometimes she would get those sizes in long instead of reg. too. i def recomend going to juniors pants it will be so much better for you! also dont get mad if a juniors 00 doesnt fit you in 1 brand because all the brands fit so totally different! if all the ones are too big you try go try jeans at hollister! they ussually run small

it all depends on your hormones.. ussually when you start hitting that point in puberty. for most people i would say anywhere from the ages of 10-13 but it really all differes from person to person

Everyone in my family has true blue eyes except me! My eyes ARE blue, but they just don't always look it. When I wear blue, they look blue. When I wear green, they look green. When I wear white and yellow they look grayish. How can I make my eyes look blue ALWAYS without wearing blue everyday? I don't wear contacts or glasses.

you makeup. like when i wear gold eye shadow it really brings out the blue in my eyes. just try playing around with makeup and find a combo that makes eyes look the most blue. because your eyes arent really changing its just they way the appear

I'm curious about something. If a person has been a smoker since they've been 12 years old, what long term effects would it have on the person? I'm asking because my friends wife is 54 and has been smoking since she was 12. She smokes about 2 packs a day. I think he is worried about her health. I already know that it has prematurely aged her from the outside. She has a very wrinkled face and horrible black and yellow stained teeth. Also does anyone have any solutions as to how she could quit? I hear it's very hard but possible.

well she has a huge chance of getting cancer and almost any other disease because her immune system is greatly weakened. also there is a good chance of premature death or any of the diseases that dont ussually hit people till later in life

ohk i want to know what i should do. i had gym on thursday and i have it before i go home so i have to change and i left my bookbag in the locker room cause our lockers arent very big so i left it sitting out like everyone else does and inside i had my purse which had my ipod and digital camara inside and someone stole it. poor fucker. but what should i do? i already talked to the school with my dad and the police got involved but what can i do on my own?

really there isnt anything else you did something really stupid and now you are paying for it. alls you really can do is wait until someone does something. maybe you can try posting signs up saying missing ipod and camera reward but i doubt that will help because who is going to give that stuff back for like $20? next time just put the camera and ipod in your locker!

Ok, well my one cat Oreo is afraid of everything! No lie. She is afraid of my parents, my sister, TVs, lights, windows, refrigerators, the only thing she isn't scared abotu is me. She spends most of her day aroudn me, and if i go somewhere she'll follow. When I'm at school my mom says she is frightened to death and spends all day until i come home, in my oom under the covers. I don't know what to do, I feel really bad for her. We got her when she was a kitten so she never was abused. WE don't know why she does this. Should I make her face her fears so she can be more comfortable aroudn the house? When she is in my arms she feels very safe and protected ( if i make her face her fears i don't want er to be afraid of me also!) Please help me, and my cat.. ?

i recommend facing her fears with her. like if she doesnt like your mom spend alot of time with your mom and with her. like sit on your couch with your mom and maybe she will come up and sit too!

well you are atleast 15 pounds under weight i can tell you that. most people your height are about 110 pounds but i wouldn't say you have a disorder unless you purposely are that thin. if you think you need diets and stuff then i would say yes

i use limewire andi think its amazing. everyone says (that i guess havent used it) that is causes viruses but i have it and have had it for 3 years and never got a virus.. but i guess it depends on what you download. like all the music is virus free bascically but if you use it to download games you run a way higher risk if getting the virus

can someone tell me things that people do if they DONT go to college?? im just wondering, im debating weather to go to college or not, but i have no clue what id do if i didnt go?

well beauty school, any kind of tech school, binuess school. there are alot of jobs out there that only require degrees from those kind of places. most of them are only 2-3 years and arent like college at all and you can take while you are still in highschool if you want

although alot of places dont require a college edu. you will prob make twice as much if you do have a college edu. or something beyond highschool. it really all depends on what you want to be and how far you want to go with it. if you can give me some ideas i can give you some options!

okay, im 13/f and i really want to start using a tampon. I relaly hate pads. I tried last night i just couldnt do it. Is it going to hurt? how do i do it? im just so confused, if anyone could help me, please answer

it doesnt hurt past like the first time using them
and it says how to put them in on the box and some tampons even show picture.

its really easy once you get the hang of it. use plastic applicators its so much easier and make sure they are teen or slim fit ones.

ok so i will be turning 18 in a month and my boyfriend will to. and we would really like to move out with each other to get out of the house. but the only thing is we are both in high school. and do schools still accept you if you live on your own? and does anyone know what the deal is with colleges and what there policy is for a non-married couple living together?

i would say dont do it. they will accept you and stuff but the divorce rate is over 75% higher if couples move in together before they are married and even higher if you having sex. wait.. its for your future. i know that you dont think it will happen to you because it very well can and its better to be safe than sorry. wait till after college till you are ready for marriage and families you too young you have all of your life

You see, this is kind of confusing in my position. My brother Bryan got his fiance Stephanie, I guess you could say fiance, pregnant. The only bad thing is every time I do something that seems okay to do, it's always WRONG to her. First of all, last New Year's Eve, I stayed the whole week with Bryan and Stephanie. We get to the party house, and my other brother Michael and his wife Brandy walk through the door with her younger brother thats my age (Brian), and so I go talk to them for like maybe an hour? So Stephanie gets jealous. She goes off and tells my mom. To make this short, my mom and I ended up getting into a fight that night.
Second of all during Thanksgiving break I stayed with Michael, Brandy, Stephanie, and Bryan. (They moved in with eachother) Stephanie was never home, and when she got home she would always close the door to her room, so I figured she didn't want anyone to go in there, so I just didn't bother. But then she starts sending me messages on MySpace telling me that I'm not talking to her and that she feels left out because I'm not including her! WHAT THE HECK! She sure isn't trying so hard to talk to me! So then on Thanksgiving night at about 10:30. We all got into a fight, Michael and Brandy on my side, and Bryan and Stephanie against us.
So that night I stormed out of the house for about an hour. Everytime I would walk by the door, they were still arguing. After they were done arguing someone finally came outside to look for me. After they found me, we all sat in the living room and talked it out.

Things got better once we started communicating. BUT! After that, New Year's comes along again. So she decides to pull the whole thing all over again!! It's getting very old!

Everyone in my family is getting annoyed by her being all baby-ish and having everyone baby her all the time!

I don't know what to do.

Okay, I'm not sure how many of you have heard of FCCLA (Family, Career, Community Leaders of America) But some friends and I have recently joined the club after participating in a few meetings. Well we're having trouble coming up with a fundraising event. We've already gotten school beautification down for our "help the school" event, we have an idea for charity (a easter egg hunt at the clubhouse in my neighborhood because I can get it for cheap pricing) But all we need left is a fundraiser event. We suggested car wash but out of the two teachers involved one is planning a wedding and the other is expecting grandchildren between now and like April (more than one of her children are expecting) so they said no events that can take pleace Saturday's and stuff. We also can't sell foods during school hours (the foods and nutrition one group already has that) We were going to sell roses for Valentines Day but it's too late because the administration never responded when asked. So as of right now the only challenge we have going for us is figuring out a fundraiser idea. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. We're kind of looking for something that hasn't been done before, but it's okay if it has. We live in NC, the weather right now is a little chilly, but not too bad, it can take place as far away as April or even May if need be, we're out of school in the begining of June so whatever we do can't take place that late. So please, any and all ideas are appreciated!!

how about a raffle? like have a local bisiness donate money or like a gift basket and go door to door in your neighborhood and sell tickets. like see if you can get restaurant gift certificates donated

i just downloaded a new program called limewire so that i could get free songs for my ipod. The problem is i dont know how to transfer the songs from limewire to iTunes so that i can get the songs on my ipod. Please help fast!

what you do is you have to download quick time player if you dont already have it. then what you do is you download the songs from limewire, open the quick time player and then import the file that you download (it should be in my music) then on quicktime player you press i think burn or something like that or tranfer to devise or something then your list of songs should show up and you double click it and its on your ipod. if you need more help drop one is my inbox because i get all my music from limewire but im not looking directly at all the stuff im doing it from memory

Ok, so we put my dog, maddie (she was 16 yrs.), to sleep about 3 or 4 yrs. ago and i reely want a puppy and my mom and dad have been saying no, but now, my mom has changed her mind and wants one, but my dad doesn't wana to get one b/c he thinks i wont take care of it and i promised i would! what should i do to convince him i would take care of it?!

yeah the same thing happend to me.. even after having the dog for almost a year he still thinks we shouldnt have gotten her but anyways.. what i did was i just kinda looked on line at puppys at local shelters online (i can give you the website if you want) and my parents wanted to wait to get a dog (not a puppy) a few monthes longer because we just put our last dog to sleep less than like 3 monthes before. well we found the cutest puppy in the world online and i convinced my mom to drive 2 hours to see it but my dad was still no way no puppy in this house ever.. well my mom fell in love with her too and we dragged my dad out there the following week b/c it was mothers day and my mom had to see her again and my dad like her but still said we werent going to care for her etc.. and basically begged him til her couldnt take it anymore and told her we could never live without her... and he finally said yes! (even though we secretly signed for her the week before he saw her).



so basically find one you want and make your dad fall in love with her.. and eventually her will (no matter what he says)

Alright, I'm 17/m and I shaved my chest and stomach (left the happy trail, as girls call it, there).

The problem is I have red bumps now because I've irritated my skin. The bumps have been there for over a month.

I'm sure they'd go away if I stopped shaving, but I'm looking for an alternative.

well i know that my dad uses nair.. you leave it on for like 5 min and then wash it off and apparently it works.. it takse all the hair away without shaving
