My boyfriend and I are fairly young, but we've been together for a long time. We have been talking about marriage, and both of our families support us and think it's a good idea.
Here is the problem. We're both from different countries. I don't want to have to choose one country over the other, or in other words, one family over the other. Also, I have never really pictured myself having a big wedding. I am pretty shy, and I know making my wedding a huge show would end up being very stressful for me. I would rather have it be a private ceremony between two people that love each other. Also, if we eloped, it would be more affordable.
So does it sound like a good idea? If you're wondering, he is indifferent about how we would get married.
Why ask us? Shouldn't you be asking you and the people around you if it is a good idea? They're the ones that it will truly matter to.

well .. i'm doing my x-mas shopping and i want to get a friend of mine a really really REALLY good gift .. something kind of like a scrapbook .. but i don't have very many good ideas .. anyone have any suggestions?

i have horrible grades. and i dont know how. i try hard. but i have to miss a lot of school. our school has a rule about after 11 absents' you may loose class credits. im a sophmore. i try hard and im very smart. i have easy classes. but i think the bad grades are because of the missing school. you know. which most of the time wasnt my fault. i was in a really bad wreck. my car rolled 6 times. and i broke a rib and slightly punctured a lung. adn broke my collar bone. and had 311 stitches in my left arm, and 83 staples in my head. so obviously a bad wreck. my doctor ordered me to stay out of school for a week or two. so i did for a week in a half. and that was 7 school days. then i got really sick. adn missed like 3 days and then sick again and missed a couple more days. my princepal has told me i need to go to school. but i was sick and couldnt even hardly get out of bed. what would you do to get your grades up if you missed a lot of school

My girlfriend and I live togehter and we both believe she is pregnant. She was told by her doctor years ago that she has endometriosis and that she coold not have kids. We had a scare several months back. She took 5 at home pregnancy test. 3 came back positive and 2 were negative. 2 weeks later she had her monthly cycle. She is now late again 2 months. She again has taken at home tests. All 5 have come back positive. We are pretty certain that she is but need a doctors blessing before we tell our families. Problem is that she has no insurance until mid January 06'. We cannot go through the holidays without letting our parents know. Do you know of any places close to or in Geneva IL. where we can get a doctors exam that will not cost us over $100. I have called several OBGYN offices and with no insurance it will cost atleast $135-$175.00.

ok i have been thinking about running away for awhile. and well i ave tried to before but the girl that wa going with me decided she wanted to go back(she was chickening out) and so well i walked her back and we were almost already to a different town when she decided to go back and well i got caught and my parents didnt realize that i was trying to run away until i told my grandma when i stayed at her house for the weekend. and i asked my mom if i could live with my grandma and my mom was gonna let me cause i told her that it would make me happier and my grandma totally understood and comforted me all the way.well my mom was actually gonna let me live with my grandma she just said well i will have to transfor u to the other scholl. but my stupid ass dad had to say no and that i was their responsibility not my grandparents. well now my grandparents dont hae much money. so i have been thinking about living with my dad's best friend chan. i know this is long and im sorry i am almost done:-( well anyway my parents tottaly trust chan cuz he is like my dad i call him dad all the time. anyway my question is i dont know where to go and all that stuff nd i am wanting to leave in january sometime. i just dont know where to go and ho to get there. any advice? i rate high please help me i really need it. :-(
Advice on what? How to run away? Or where to go? You've already ran away once, so I suggest going somewhere nice. Save up some money by getting a job, then just go some place you'd like. Take the train like they do in all those movies.

Yea ok so heres the story .. very tragic.. something happened that id never imagine.. my sisters brotger was at his friends and there was some sort of gas leak and the house like exploded... her brother is only 12 and she is only 10 shes so upset and everyone is so worried were not sure if hes gunna make it hes got so much wrong w/ him.. he has head trama collapsed lungs, punctured spleen and a punctured liver and 50% burns that are VERY severe.. the thing is i barely know this kid since he lives w/ my step sisters mom but when i found out i cried and cried and i just cant stop i dont really understand it since i only met him like 3 times but still i mean hes juts a kid n hes been through so much i dont even know why thiswould happen to someone like him expecially a kid!!! i dont knowwhat to think about it everyones praying and stuff n its like ive never prayed and had ne results so i dont knwo what to do or how to feel.. some advice or stories or ANYthing would be helpful at this point and time .. thatnk you for any help! ...

there is this guy in my grade (8th) who is always flirting with me and my friend. he is cute, but he has a girlfriend of like a year who is in 9th grade. in the class that we all have together my friend and i will sit on the couch in the room and put our feet up on it. he will come over and just sit on our feet and grind his buttbone into my legs. he has sat in my lap, too (against my will). a couple of years ago, he liked me and i kinda liked him. we went to a banquet at a church camp together, but we never were boyfriend/girlfriend. we have been pretty good friends since, but he keeps flirting with me. he and my friend argue all the time, but it is just messing around not seriously. he flirts with other girls so much! his girlfriend is close to my friend, and his girlfriend flirts with other guys behind his back, too. why does he flirt so much and keep sitting on us? everyone says he and his gf wouldn't last but some people say they are just staying together to prove us wrong...they don't really like eachother. does he like me? what should i do? i'll rate 5's! :):)

okay, so i was "going out" with this guy last year (we were 13 in 7th grade). he had been my best (guy) friend for the last three years. we had gotten really close and one day i just started liking him. i knew he liked me because he had told my friends before. i had one of my friends tell him i liked him. after like a month, he told one of his friends, who also was one of my friends that he loved me over aim. the guy he told it to copied and pasted the whole conversation to me on aim. i didn't feel the same way. the guy who told me that my bf loved me told me not to tell my bf. i did because i couldn't keep a secret from him. he told me that it was true and asked if i loved him. i didn't so i said that i wasn't ready for that yet. because of this we broke up about a month later. i know he has liked me off and on since the break up. now he likes this girl who is a year younger than us. they went out for 2 days last week then broke up and now they are going out again. i am releived that he finally got another girlfriend to get his mind off me, but some of my friends say he is just doing this to make me jealous. it doesn't but i don't want him to think that it does. i have told him many times how happy i am for him, but he keeps asking one of my friends if it bothers me. what should i do? i hope he has finally moved on after our breakup, but i don't want to hurt his feelings by telling him that because we are still good friends. i need some advice! i'll rate 5's! thanks!

Yesterday i just put god in my heart, because my life was going bad and i was doing alot of bad thigns that i shouldn't have been doing. and i'm going to follow the path god wants me to now and do what i think he thinks his right. And i was just wondering if there was anybody out there who could give me some pointers on what to do and not to do because i am new at this. And could you please name some christian bands cause i used to lisen to metal and i dont' want to anymore because i think it would go against god because of the stuff they say i dotn'w ant to lisen to any more hate singers anymore. Christian bands generally dont talk a lot about god and jesus in their music. It just lacks what all other bands have which is sexual content, language, etc.
You also said you want god to guide you, now if you're asking us for help, does that mean we're your god?
Look, I dont know how to 'properly' guide you because you'll view me and my helping you a little lacking in the credibility area, mainly because I'm Agnostic and Atheist on and off.
