Q: I don't have a job, so I can't really save up money to buy one myself lol. I don't get an allowance either. I know my dad isn't the type that would make me work for something. Does anyone know any ways that I can convince my dad to buy me an iPod Touch? If anyone can tell me the pros and cons of the iPod Touch, that would help a lot too. I just don't feel like asking, cause I already feel like he's going to say no. The only thing that could help me, is that I've had 2 iPods so far in my lifetime. I believe they were both $200 each. I want the iPod Touch 8GB... that's only like $230 right? About $30 more isn't so bad. He's also bought me and my sister a $300 camera. (I think it was that much)... So why wouldn't I be able to buy an iPod Touch? I mean, my dad has bought things in equal value to the iPod Touch or greater. Maybe I could sell my current iPod 3rd generation to save some money. but I wouldn't know how to convince my dad to let me sell it, and where. o.o I don't know where my dad stands in his bills right now, I don't want him to need loans. xD So what do you guys think? it sounds like your dad buys you a lot of things.. and since you've already had two ipods maybe he wont see why he needs to buy you another one, truth is .. he shouldn't have to. If you want one, sell your other one like you said and maybe you guys could go halfs on it like you pay half and he'll pay half i know i would never ask my parents two by me an ipod touch if i already had 2 of them before even if they were broken.. i would feel bad. I can't really come up with any good reason why someone would have to buy you an ipod touch they do the same thing as the others except it has internet and its *touch screen* and the internet is stupid on those you can only use it near someones wireless internet so theres no point there honestly not as cool at they sound.. probably not what you wanted to hear, sorry

Q: I'm on the yaz birth control. I've been on yaz for about 5 months now but was on something different for about 5 months before that. I take my pill everyday on time. I'm sexually active with my boyfriend though. We have sex about 3 times a week. Always with a condom except 2 times this past month. He pulled out before anything happened so i should be safe. But i'm on yaz and i was suppose to get my period yesterday ( the first day of my inactive pill) it's now the second day out of the four inactive pills, and i still don't have my period. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it came out negative, but i dont know how accurate it was because i drank so much water... Help!

it is possible, but the chances are slim, even more slimmer for you because he pulled out. I do know someone who had a baby recently while she was on the pill though, and she said she took it correctly each time, witch was why she was so shocked, water can dilute your pee making the pregnancy test inaccurate, i would wait a couple more days and if you dont get it then take another test but this time with your first morning pee, like it says to do in the instructions

well, try not to do anything that upsets him.. like writing no annthonys allowed, and Iming him on other peoples screen names. give him some space to think about what he wants, be yourself talk to him on your own screen name, dont sound obssesive though because that can scare him away. you said you guys dated for only 2 weeks, and your saying your in love with him?
you may be, but chances are this is just a crush, there are plenty of guys out there so if this one doesnt like you as much as you like him then he isnt worth it, just move on i know thats better said than done but trust me once you met another guy, youll forget about this one, its how teenage love goes.

Q: i'm fifteen and i really need money. unfortunately, my dad told me we can't even pay our mortgage let alone give me an allowance for doing chores each week. on top of that, i'm almost positive my mother is cheating. things just aren't right, we yell and my family is falling apart. i don't even know what i'm asking for but i need some advice someway.

although you are only 15 years old, there are some jobs available that you could do, so try getting a job to get your money.. try restaurants. I'm not quite sure about how to give you advice on the cheating situation, but try to not get involved its your mothers life, just let things play out and see what happens, just take it from there she may not be cheating at all so i wouldn't suggest saying anything or worring about it until you no for sure if its happening or not.

Q: hey im 18/f and on thursday i have my first pap smear and pelvic exam. Im kinda nervous because i've never had one done and i've heard that it hurts a little bit. I am sexually active and on birth control so they need to see if everything is good like a yearly check up. The only thing i've had done before was like an ultra sound of my ovaries they like stuck a probe up my vagina and looked at them. Somebody who has had these done please tell me how the experience was for you. Thanks a bunch!

the first time for me wasnt that bad, just a little awkward, but you gotta remember that they have seen hundreds of vag's so its not anything big to them, and it shouldn't be for you either, what they do is ask you to remove your clothes from the waist down and they give you this paper sheet to cover up with and then they ask you to put your feet in the stirups and move to the edge of the table and for me first the womemen sticks two finger inside you and pushes down on your stomach i thought that was the worst part, it only hurts a little though, and then they take like this metal thing and they stick it in you and its used to open up your vagina so they can see everything... that was what happened to me when i went.

Q: I'm a fourteen year old girl with a rather large problem. I met this sixteen year old guy at one of my softball games. We exchanged numbers and what not, and talked non stop for the first week. I opened up to him about my past which isn't often that I do that. I told him trust was everything to me. Well things got serious, and it seemed like everything was perfect. Until he went back up north. He texted me and told me we couldn't talk anymore and that was it. His younger brother ended up texting me and telling me he had a girlfriend and thats why he said we had to stop talking. So three days later, he randomly texted me and said he wanted to talk so I listened. He basically just apoligized for lying, and said he still wanted to be friends. With my hurt feelings, I said sure and asked why he lied to me. He told me I changed his feelings about everything and that he would break up with her. A week has gone by, and nothing. i don't want to be pushy but I'm getting sick of this. Should I confront him about it? Or just stop talking to him, because after all he did lie. I need help!

if i were you, i would only wait maybe a few more days after that, if he really did like you and ment what he said he WOULD have broken up with his girlfriend buy now, so chances are he was just trying to make you happy

anyone can buy a pregnancy test, theres no age.

and i would say since your not regular i would take a test about 4 weeks after the sex.. if you still havent gotten your period just because you didnt actually miss doesnt mean that your not pregnant, if your not regular.. try remembering the day you had your last period on then about 14 days later(not always true for EVERY girl) you were ovulating so if you had sex around that date.. then your chances are higher

Q: Okay this is going to be long

So I love this guy my parents don't like so I have to sneak out at night to see him. But my mom approves of my ex and i still have feelings for him but I'm now only his friend and we occasionally talk on the phone my boyfriend (they guy my parents don't approve of) don't like this. Wel when I was dating my ex I had sex with my new boyfriend and when I was dating my new boyfriend my ex fingered me. Well now my new bf is not talking to me and hes pissed at me and he won't talk to me at all. I have no clue what to do or say to him please help hes coming over tonight and thursday night because him and my 14 yr sister are really good friends and he promised her they'd hang out when he had a day off and I want to talk to him and have my sis talk to him but I don't know what say please help me.

well, cheating doesn't get anywhere your boyfriend does have the right to get mad, but i mean if you guys are still dating then why wouldn't he talk to you if he was coming over? Try talking to him , make the first move and break the ice.. tell him your truly sorry, if you are.. and try to go from there you might have to just let him cool off for awhile, i could have been pretty shocking new to him.

Q: 13/m (not sure if this is in the right category) and sorry its so long.

ok so i like writing stories and i think that i;m quite good but i haven't done it in ages but i got interested in doing it again when the other day i had to do something in my English class its hard to explain but we got a sheet of paper and it had 1 of 4 different pictures that we had to base the story on 1 was a tiger, 1 was a Ferris wheel, one was a car with a dog kennel tied onto the top (i dont know either haha) and 1 was a setting of ghosts under a bridge type thing. and with our scene thing we had to write a opening paragraph then the teacher collected them and gave them to other people with no one knowing who wrote the original thing. then we wrote a paragraph that created a problem the the teacher collected them and gave them around to different people again then finally i got one with the ghost type setting and i was reading through and it sounded like it was getting scary so i changed it around completely and made it really funny im not being stuck up cause i showed my friends and they cracked up laughing and i also one a prize for having the best story. so i started writing a scary story the other day when i had nothing to do. i have written about a paragraph and i think its quite good but i dont really want to show anyone yet until i have finished
so does anyone have any tips for writing this story, making my stories better and just anything that will help my writing in the future

Q: Alrightee so i am 17 year old female.

and me and my boyfriend recently had sex a lot like 5 days ago. ((a lot of times without a condom)) but he didnt bust in me and i am not on birth control
and today and yesterday ive had to pee like all the time. and it really hurts! and ive also been bleeding. i know you shouldnt get pregnancy symptoms this early...so im not totally sure whats going on with me. and i looked up stuff on the internet and could it be an abrasion from intercourse?? i dont know its really freaking me out! i need opinions on that you think it might be!!

if you were ovlulating at that time its actually not to early to get symotoms, implantation bleeding can occur when the egg burrows in the uterus.. and if you were ovulating that day or it was even the day after it could already plant its self.. has it been bleeding sicne you have had the actual sex? if no then i dont think its an abrasion i think it would have been bleeding right after the sex if it was if you randomly started bleeding then.. it could very well be implantation bleeding monitor it, if it lasts for more than 2 days.. i dont think its implantation bleeding, best bet is to go to the doctor

Q: I had a cat scan of my shoulder, was inside a cat scan tube. Noisy machine. Even though I had foam ear plugs in use my hearing seems to be sensitive to noise now. Its been 9 days and it still seems sensitive. Why is this and how long will it last?

ive had cat scans, and i have never had that problem you should really talk to your doctor about it though, nobody on advicenators can tell you exactly whats wrong like your doctor probably can

Q: Lately my life has basically been all about sports and school. A couple of years ago my life was all about going out with girls and hanging out and stuff. but since high school I got disconnected from my socialable friends. And almost all of my "sports" friends are in the same problem as me, they spend so much time in their sport and school work. I also go to an all boys school which doesnt help at all. Even though i do spend alot of time on academics and sports, its not like i dont have time to do stuff its that its been over two years now since ive done somthing with my "old" friends that i dont know what to do and how to get back into doing stuff. I feel like that when i left my old school for my new school i wanted to start over fresh, but my "start over" didnt involve doing anything outside of school and training for sports. And latley ive tried talking to this one girl i was always rly close with and took her to a dance once and lately she has been ignoring me. it feels like even when i try to do stuff with my "old friends" they have "new friends" to do stuff with. and my "new friends" are just like me. So what im asking is how can i get my friends attention. One thing i did was try to have a halloween party which was going to be huge over 500 ppl and a bunch of my old friends were going to be there so i could hang out with them, but before it happened the neighbors called my parents and it was ruined. So basically im wondering how i can kind of get their attention. I wouldnt even think about not doing sports anymore bcuz ive gotten several college sports scholarship offers from big time schools for football and track.

maybe instead of throwing a big party, take one weekend and try to get just your old friends to come hang out, call them in advance so they no about it and wont have plans already, go to the movies, mall, anywhere really even your house you just have to re connect with them since you have been spending all your time with sports and stuff they might feel like you just kinda abandaned them so they got new friends, just invite them over or soemthing or casually just start talking to them all again, myspace, facebook, aim.. text anything

Q: Here's the story in a nutshell. I have a sister, brother-in-law and niece (8)/nephew (11). I have a husband and two sons, 4 and 8. My sister has had trouble with her oldest son. He was diagnosed with a learning disability and OCD, and is on low-dose med and moved into a special school system for more one-on-one teaching. I have had a couple occurences with him, when he has been visiting, one of children has been injured. Few months ago, my older son was on a trampoline with him. They were throwing balls on the trampoline (soft squishy balloon-type balls) and my son had hit him with one. My nephew has taken Mixed Martial Arts classes and put my son in a "lock" where he twisted his arm behind his back. My son's arm was swollen. We let that go and figured his parents would deal with him. My brother-in-law merely told him to apologize and stated that he did it because my son hit him with the ball. Next occurence, at my home. Children are all playing downstairs. My youngest son (4) comes up crying with a bleeding lip. I was told by the others that my nephew was wrestling with my 4 year old and threw him into the couch and he hurt his lip. Last occurence, all children are playing video games, my sons vs. my niece,nephew. My sons beat them and my nephew stated he would "kick the crap out of him". He gave a kick to my older son's shoulder, then my little guy charged at my nephew to stop him, but my nephew threw him into the wall. He then got my older son in a "headlock" where he lifted him up off the ground choking him. When his sister ran upstairs, he let him go and came up screaming, "he did nothing wrong". My husband, then BLEW UP!!! He kicked my kitchen garbage can and started screaming, "This kid is an F---ing animal, and he's gonna kill someone some day!" My sister and brother-in-law were immediately offended by my husband's outburst and have turned on us. They somehow twisted the story around to my other two sisters and painted a picture that my husband is an "out of control maniac" and a danger to be in the house with??? She told my other family members that my son was taunting her son and called him a "loser" for losing the game, and that's when he went after him. I know this isn't the story, as my older son, as well as my niece gave me the story as it happened, and their stories matched. I originally was made at my husband, once I made sure my son was ok, and could breathe, but as the day went on I became irate over the stories I was hearing about how my husband was so wrong. My family does not believe that my nephew would ever truly harm my son. I think otherwise. I know my son did not tease him, it's totally out of his character, my little one may have, but does that still justify trying to choke my older boy??? My family thinks I am completely over-reacting, and my husband is the wrong one for blowing up on a child. Please advise!

i think your both at wrong, i mean your husband really should have tried to control his anger instead of bursting out at a child. Your sister is also in the wrong for making up things and trying to act like nothing is wrong with her son when there obviously is, sounds like he needs some one on one therapy, i would try sitting down and talking the four of you and try to come up with a solution in an adult manner, no yelling, and no blaming. Theres nothing you can do about the past, as hard as it is.. let it go all you can do now is concentrate on how to not let this problem happen again. Maybe when the children are playing.. watch them to see what happens.. have your sister stay there a couple times and have you BOTH watch them.. so maybe so will see the problem to. every kid i have met so far that takes martial arts has some kind of anger problem i can name 5 kids that i know personally who act like this from martial arts. He definitely needs some discipline that will work. Try to see it from another point of view as well as your own.. your sister is only believing what her child is saying thats natural even in this case were its not the truth.. i say you all need to find some guidance maybe a family therapist? im not quite sure.
