well i have to budgies. 1 is sky blue and is a boy. the others is white with splats of turqoise, and is a female. i was just wandering if anybody has any good names for the birds?

I think names of foods are always cute, like "pickle" or "peaches" or something, our cat's name is Squid. A name doesn't have to do with the coloring and I think people names are cute for animals too. For example, my budgie's name is Joey, my ferret's name is Nicky, and I have a fish named Jimmy.
Since some budgies can talk (I think it's just english budgies, so depending on what kind yours are, they may or may not be able to mimic), I would suggest a name that could be pronounced by a bird, something ending "Y" or "EE". For example, the famous, or rather infamous name "Polly".

I have two tiger barbs in my tank (yes, I know one should keep them is schools). Both fish seem to be healthy and active, but one of the fish lost its coloring days after it was added to the tank. It has taken on a metallic gold/opal color which seems to get worse when the tank light is on. If I leave the tank light off for several hours, the color of the fish darkens almost to natural. It's not a slime or a slick, the actual scales seem to have lost color.
If it matters, I take the fish from my dorm back to my home on occasion. Both fish seem to lose their coloring while I'm home, but only one gains it back when I return them to the dorm. It's very odd, and I was wondering if anyone else had seen this and if they knew how to fix it.
That's kind of strange. Usually a fish's color will become paler in the dark. It may just be that one fish is dominant of the other. In that case, the one that has less color is submissive to the other and it's a completely normal fish behavior. I've seen color differences like this in female bettas, severums, and convict chiclids. I'm not completely familiar with tiger barbs, so I suggest researching a bit on the internet.

You can go see a doctor, but that's about it. Everyone is different and unique and so are their bodies. Some people have larger frames than others, so I would suggest asking your doctor at your next checkup. ^_^

I recently got a rabbit... I would like to teach it how to use a litter box....My question is ...what kind of litter should I use? What are things I should look out for? What are some things that are normal for a rabbit to do when litter training?....anything relating to rabbits will help so if u know anything about the topic I just brought up OR NETHING else please let me know..Thank YOU!
Rabbits are pretty easy to litter train, like, it's natural for them to go to the bathroom in a particular place. What kind of litter you want to use depends on you, just do NOT use the pine litter. Anything with pine in it is known to cause respiratory problems that can end up killing small animals. I would mainly suggest the kind of paper litters, they ARE more expensive but it's the safest thing to use.
my dog just died today. she got hit by a car. my dad was really close to her. everyone is so upset. i cried, i also felt really bad because when i would get mad at brittany (dog) i would yell at her and tell her i hope she died. but it seems that everyone is more upset then me. is there any way that i can get them to calm down?i know this is tragic but we cant all go crazy. everyone has a time when they died.

You can't really get them to calm down at all. Honestly, the only cure for a tragic accident like that is time, and lots of it. Just be supportive and caring. After a few weeks (at least) suggest getting a new puppy or something.
If you are a female, and you shave your head as short as natalie portman in v for vendetta, then about how long will it take to grow back? And is there any way to make it grow back sooner.
Hair actually only grows about half an inch every month (yikes, I know). I would say that would take a good 10 months or so, at least.

See a nutritionist, or just a regular doctor. It's important that you get professional help when trying to gain weight!

I don't think there are any exact exercises that you do specifically for your back, however, just exercising in general will take the fat away. You see, for you your body stores fat in your back and when you run or jog and those muscles need energy they will start to get it from the fat in your back (if it even is fat at all!) . It may also just be muscle or as you put it "meat". Do you gymnastics or any sport that would require back strength? Take those kinds of things into account. :)
These past few days I've hardly eaten anything. I mean I'll be hungry then when the food is put infront of my I'll eat like 4 bites then I'll be really full! Usually I can eat a full meal but now I can bearly eat anything. I'm currently active in a competative sport so I need the food but I can't make myself eat it because I get so full so quickly I begin to feel sick, is something wrong with me?
This is a common thing to happen with athletes. Sometimes your body will get so tired and worked out that you completely lose your appetite, so in that case is SHOULD go away. But if you start seeing a lot of weight loss, see your doctor immediately.

Get someone else to try to get it off, it may be easier for them. Other than that, you just have to be persistent.
I gave myself a fake tattoo with a safety pin and pen ink...that was about a month ago. Does anyone know how long it takes for it to fade out, or does anyone know how to get rid of it? it is a small tattoo, just a name written really small.
You seriously shouldn't have done that. It's not a fake tattoo, it's real. How do you think other people get what you call real tattoos? They inject ink into their skin with a needle, which is just like what you've done on a smaller scale. It may never come off, so I suggest going to your doctor or pharmacist to find ways of fading it out.

I think you need to sit down and talk to your grandmother. Explain how you feel, etc and be open minded to any of her concerns. She may just be cautious for you, so just talk and discuss it. You should be able to make some sort of agreement between the two of you. :)
How can you send a song from iTunes to someone through AIM? Do you have to resave it as a sound file? I know it's possible because my friend sent me one before.
So you were able to send the file... On my computer (Mac) you just have to double click and it automatically starts playing on iTunes. You could also try dragging the file onto iTunes. There should also be options under "File" on your desktop that will give you options as to where you want to open it. Good luck.

Or, if I eat 2000 calories, but I require 2200 daily, does that mean I've lost 200 calories?

They are both ways to lose weight, but the first way "If I eat 2000 calories a day, and I burn off 2500" is better.
I just got a dwarf rabbit which is 2 years old. Me and my boyfriend do not know if its a boy or a girl but we want to know what the best way is to nurture him/her. How to call it? How to get him to like us? How to be friendly with him and basically the best way to care for it. Please answer my question the best you can I really like him and I want to be the best owner I can :)
This is in response to the question "How to get him to like us?". You can give them treats and stuff but there really is no guarantee. My family's had a rabbit for 8 years and she still cringes when you try to pet her or pick her up. But at the same time I've heard of very tame rabbits that are actually affectionate. So you can only do so much to get your rabbit to like you, the rest is the rabbit's own personality. Good luck.
Ok, well i have two birds, and im not compleatly sure, but i think that one is a boy and one is a girl, they are parakeets and the reason i think one is a boy is because they have different colors above their beeks, but how do i tell if they are going to have chicks (er.. lay eggs)

Physically you won't be able to tell until she's actually laid egg(s), but birds in general will start to make a nest and the hormones released will change their personality (negatively usually.) So those are a couple ways you could possibly tell.
Any good way to get gum off of a retainer? I cannot give up gum chewing and usually forget to bring my case to school. At the end of the day it ends up stuck to it, and looks discusting. thanks
I don't have a retainer or anything, but I know that chocolate dissolves gum, so I guess you could wear your retainer and eat chocolate to dessolve it! Sounds like a good plan, and even if it doesn't completely work, you'll still have the chocolate! ;-)
whenever i'm meeting someone i don't know, i have the hardest time keeping a conversation! i'm really outgoing and friendly, but most of the time i just don't know what to talk about and we end up standing there in this awkward silence. any tips / suggestions?? thanks!!
Start talking about something you're intereseted in, or something that you have an opinion about and ask their opinion. For example, I really like animals, so I'd start talking about my pets and if they had any pets, etc. See, if you start talking about something you have an opinion about, or like, then you'll have a lot to say, that will automatically come to mind so you don't have to really think to hard.
