What kind of litter you want to use depends on you, just do NOT use the pine litter. Anything with pine in it is known to cause respiratory problems that can end up killing small animals. I would mainly suggest the kind of paper litters, they ARE more expensive but it's the safest thing to use. [ fish34's advice column | Ask fish34 A Question ]

Change their bedding every few days but not every day as they are coprofagious, that is, they need to eat some of their own faeces to absorb all the nutrients they need. You can use hay as bedding and/or in a litter tray but be careful of straw as is it quite hard and can poke them in the eye and cause damage. You should keep a fresh supply of hay for them to eat as this aids digestion, a salt lick and something to gnaw on as rabbits teeth do not stop growing. You can get all this from a pet shop. Rabbits are prone to overgrown back teeth so keep an eye on them, they need to be seen by a vet if they start causing problems, they are also prone to abscesses, so if you find one or the rabbit feels overhot or goes off it's food, again to the vet.Pick the rabbit up regularly as the more contact it has the friendlier it is likely to be. If it is boy, it may need to be neutered if it gets aggressive, but this should be a last resort as rabbits do not always respond well to anaesthesia. Keep it away from cords and wires as they will gnaw anything. Make sure it gets all the jabs it needs from the vets, especially if you're going to let it outside in good weather, rabbit diseases are horrible and usually fatal, they are easily prevented with yearly innoculations. Hope that helps, good luck. [ isis's advice column | Ask isis A Question ]

Yea I have a rabbit, The litter you should use, I use hay for the litter and bark for the bedding because they like both hay and bark and if they get used to peeing on the hay they won't eat it. Oh watch out for carpet because they will eat carpet till there is noting else here is a rule of thumb "rabbits like to dig especially in the dirt and eveything they chew and scratch is just another thing they need to get through to get to the dirt". Oh if you have a male rabbit i would recommend getting him nudered because he can get aggressive as well as thump none stop. And don't let them around cords for they will chew them to bits and I mean all of them.
