14/F. I have to get orthodonic braces in a few weeks and I have a few questions about them. I will rate. Do they hurt? What will happen if I chew gum with them? What color bands would look good with brown hair and brown eyes? Thanks.
They hurt for like the first week or so but it goes away!! They tel you not to chew gum buti used to do it just not like the Bubble gum stuff like winter fresh and stuff like that are good colors i dont know ima guy

Ok the deal is that there is a dance this friday and me and sum of my friends are going to eat afterwards, but this one kid is coming that me and my friend just cant stand!! I was recently terminated from a company. In my job search I've been saying I'm currently still employed. I've received an offer from another company and during the background check it has been revealed that I am no longer employed. Onmy application it says NOT to contact my current employer. So how did they find out? Was it a social security report? If so, what does this social security report state? Finally, how do I handle this so they don't recind the offer?

I'm here to talk about my friend, Emma. We were eating lunch today and she started talking to me on how she thinks she's starting to loose her memory. She's 15 years old, and I know you loose your memory of old age and stuff...but she's 15 YRS OLD! Emma was telling me how she see's a friend of her's, but everytime she see's her friend, Emma can't remember her name. And Emma was telling me that it's not just that one girl...there's more ppl that she can't remember their names. Also she was telling me how she forgets what she did in the past week. She kinda remembers but it's hard for her to remember. Like she can remember what she did in 3 days ago, but a whole week she can't really remember. I asked Emma if she remembered what she did 2 weeks ago, and she couldn't remember. Is she really loosing her memory? Should we be worried? Is it really worth going to the doctor? Please answer me because I have NOO clue.

i just went to the doctor because i was having this problem at night where i cant do anything but breathe (kinda long story)and the doctors said i have someting called absence seizures or something and they said i have to get a "brain scan" or "mri" done..whats an MRI?? i heard that its a big black thing, and im really scared..i feel really uncomfortable with the problem to and i hate it... i dont wanna go to the hospital and stick my head into something...this is really bad, and im 14 and STILL somewhat frightened of the dark!! does anyone know anything to help me?? someone just please say something anything will help! thanks
An MRI isnt bad at all if any thing its kinda kool!! you lay down on this bed and they move the table back and you head kinda moves into this big round thing that is essintially a magnet and you just sit there and some times they will ask you questions! Its nothing to be afriad of its kool!!

On Wedesday my dad had to use the recover disk on my computer since it wouldn't do anything. It deleted everything on my computer like it was supposed to. But for some reason the sound refuses to work. The speakers are new and they are plugged in. If you go to Volume Control it says "There are no active mixer devices available" What should I do to get sound. The computer is a E-Machine and we got it in July of 2004. thanx for any help
Well you need ot find out if your sound card itegrated into your mother board other wise if its not you might have fried your sound card!!

I just moved to a new school and I'm finding it really hard to make some friends (i'm in 9th). and it just gets really lonley on the weekends because I don't like do anything. And my friends from my old school, I don't talk to them anymore. I don't know if there is any advice you can give me (besides that whole join a sport because I am doing a sport in the spring) and join a club because I am already in some and they arent very helpful with meeting people. Any advice??
Just start talking to people dont worry about what they think about you! You cant be intimidated by them! Just be your self and talk to them find out what they are all about!

I am 16 years old and I have been through hell and back! My mom was with a guy for nine years and I was molested by him. Now every year she is with a new guy. In February I was raped by my brother in-law and my mom didn't believe me at first, I was called a liar and I was told that I asked for it, the cops didn't even believe me until I took a polygraph test! I eventually got away from my mom because she hit me one day. I was living with one of her friends which kicked me out of her house for smoking cigs (She knew before I moved in that I was a smoker and I NEVER smoked in her house or even on her property!) I tried to kill myself because I didnt want to go back to my mom, i was placed in a mental institution for 4 months and now I am living with my mom again! She of course is with another guy. In the last few weeks my mom has had two strokes because of her boyfriend yelling and threatning her! I can't take it! I have enough problems of my own and the other night I tried to kill myself again! I dont want to end up back in the hospital and my moms new boyfriend is cool as long as they aren't fighting. I am scared that my mom is going to get hurt and I am going to end up dead because the slightest things make me want to cut, burn, or die! I still don't feel close to my mom, but I spent so long fighting her and finally gave in. I have no where to go but back to the hospital and I dont want that! WHAT DO I DO!
!WOW! Im sorry you had to go through all of that! What ever you do, DO NOT KILL YOUR SELF. Try to find a counseler you can talk to if you tell them your story some times they can help. Try to think positive and try to keep your head up high.

I'm going to sign my teacher up to be on what not to wear. The thing is, on the sign up sheet, you have to fill out where they live, their day time phone number and adress. Obviously I have to find out that stuff without her knowing. Does anyone have any ideas of what I should do to get this information?
Some web sites will allow you to look up a lot of info about people! also if you know her name look it up online in the yellow pages or somthing like that some times it will give you the adress!

i went on vacation for four days without talking to any of my friends except for one for 45 minutes... well im bak and they feel like strangers to me. when 8th grade ends we wont be in high school together and we oviously wont last... right nowi could almost kill myself becuz its coming up too soon... and the vacation and coming bak makes me realize how much i dont like the fact that we wont keep in touch and be as good of friends.
