i dunno if im in the right catagory or not, but im turning 13 in october and we kinda wanna do something big for it, but i don tknow what to do!

I really like the luau idea. My friend did that for her eleventh birthday a few years ago, and it was really fun. Here's a few ideas:
Pineapple Princess punch: Mix equal amounts of lemon lime soda (store brand is fine), Hawaiian or red punch, and pineapple juice. Yum! Be sure to offer ice separately so it won't dilute the punch.
Buy almond cookies to serve with it. Or better yet, buy a fresh pineapple and cut it up into tidbits. Put the pieces on toothpicks, then do the same with strawberries.
Figure out how to make tissue-paper flowers. (Check the web and the local library. Also, if you know any teachers or scout leaders or the like, ask if they know how.
Then buy lots of tissue paper (try dollar stores, then discount stores before going to craft stores, to save money). Have everyone make enough flowers to string together to make their own flower necklace.
I've noticed with store-bought ones that they string a flower, then a tube, then a flower, then a tube, etc., so that they don't need as many flowers, and it still looks good. For the tubes, buy a box of straws and cut them into 1" or 2" lengths.

You could also go do lastertag, bowling.
How about a hollywood themed party?
For the invitations, you could have ADMIT ONE tickets. Or, you could have it in the shape of a clapboard. A Hollywood Star invitation maybe?
Right outside the club, you can have a Hollywood Walk Of Fame star tile with your name on it. At the front doors, you could have a Hollywood sign right above.
A red carpet is a must for a hollywood themed party. It's perfect for your enterance, then you can have lights shine on you as you walk in.
As for decor, maybe you could have posters of celebrities on the walls. Get some ballons saying Hollywood on them, a clapboard, and a film reel balloon. Also, table confetti with like cameras, rolls of film, that sort of thing. You can have swirling stars coming from the ceiling, and lanterned garlands. Red, black, and gold are the best colors to have.
For lights, you can have a Hollywood movie camera lamp, or a hollywood studio lamp. There's also star sparkle lights, which you can buy from one of the links below.

alright, so i got in an argument about bible verses with a friend of mine and i need help finding a few.

Hey! Well next week I'm trying out for my school's volleyball team (JV or Varsity). I don't have much experience but I'm pretty good for someone just starting. I've never tried out for a sport before and I'm really getting nervous and having second thoughts...even though I REALLY want to beon the team. The intimidation for the more-experienced girls just gets to me. Well, I was wondering if anybody have any advice and tips for me to stay calm, keep my cool, and how to impress the coach so that I can make the team and prove that I'm good and dedicated to the sport. Also, workout and practice tips would be great. Thanks
If you try really hard, and coaches notice this, it'll help you out a lot. Be really loud and cheer on your other people on your team. Always call the ball. I didn't do this, because I'm really quiet/shy, and my coach hated me.
Just try not to be intimidated. Ignore them, but not completely. Practice a lot outside of pratice. Bump the ball to yourself, get a friend to help. Above my garage is my parent's room, but its a little further behind, so there's a little piece of roof that I'd practice off of. I served the ball and then ran up and bumped it back up. I think that help a lot. Try staying before/after practice to show the coaches you really want this.
Have you started yet? If you haven't, conditioning includes a lot of running, so pratice that. Try a little over a mile, maybe two. If you can, get a friend to help you by throwing the ball short, so you'll have to run up and dive for it. Practice hitting also. Set the ball to yourself. Do wall sits, push ups, sit ups, that sort of thing.
Try your best. That'll count for a lot. I've answered a bunch of these types of questions, so you can look at my column for these questions incase I forgot something. I hope I helped. Good luck! :)

Good real estate agents must get along well with buyers and sellers. It helps if real estate agents are pleasant and dress neatly. They should be well organized and be able to remember people's names. They should deal honestly with people and have good manners. They must also be very eager to sell houses, which is sometimes a lot of hard work.

When volleyball first started i was instantly in love with the sport. That is where i met my 2 BFF's. As we got to 8th grade we rocked at v-b and we where playing for fun and no one EXPECTED us to win, even though we where the "A" team.
Now that highschool started the coaches are like "you better do this or your not gonna play" and "You DON'T PLAY FOR FUN you play to WIN!!!" and "I DON'T WANT ANY LOSES!" she literly makes us run and do sprints(if you miss a ball in a game) by your self in front of everyone else. Then yells in our face if we don't win and points out every single mistake we make and what/who "cost" us the ""precious"" game.
Is it me or am i thinking wrong by wanting to quit? and is it as bad as i think(or am i being to 'wimpy'?) Help!
Yeah, high school is like that. I liked grade school a lot better. You played for fun, and if you won, that was a plus. All high schools are like this. I wouldn't quit, but maybe not play next year. Try showing her up. When she criticizes you on something, go home and work on it, so you become really good with that particular thing. Be really loud and cheer on your teammates, because coaches love that.
I felt the same way my freshmen year. I stuck through it though. I don't really regret it either, because I met some people, so it made going to a new high school not so bad. I'm not playing this year because I can't stand the coaches and there's a lot of people trying out, so I don't want to go to all the practices and not get playing time. By the end of the season, if you still hate it, just don't play next year. Or, like the others said, just play for a different team. Something local. I hope some of this helps. Okay so my skin is pretty fair. I'm mostly irish. However, I do tan a little bit. I know this is hard to judge, but how long do you think I could stay out in the sun without being burnt, because I want some color, but I am terrified of getting burnt again. The first time I went out this year, I was out for 3 hours straight and got a wicked bad sunburn.
I know its really hard to judge, so I appreciate any answers.
I'm the exact same way. My mom told me to go out everyday for about half an hour or 45 minutes. You'll gradually get a tan.
I'm gettin my license in 2 weeks and I am so scared! I'm not a bad driver I just don't know what they are going to have me do. Has anyone tested for their license in North Carolina? If so what do you have to do for the driving test and is there a written test? Also do you drive your own car or is one provided for you?
There is a written test. It's supposed to be common sense though. At least, that's what I've heard. I haven't gotten my license yet, I get my temps in two weeks :) but my brother just got his. The acutal driving test is hard. My brother failed the first time, and for my cousin, it took him three times. There's cones set up that you have to drive through. There's two cones, a car apart. Then, a little behind them, there are two other cones. Then, behind them, one cone in the middle, kind of like this [hopefully it shows up right]:

Then, the person will tell you left or right. You have to turn whichever way, then reverse it back. My brother failed because when he took classes, the teacher told them they could go either way [why he didn't listen to the instructer in the car I'll never know, hah]. If you hit a cone, you lose points. If you knock one over, you fail and have to wait a week to take it again. I'm pretty sure how that works, it's what I've heard. For Ohio, at least. It could be different for different states.
They can provide you a car, or you can bring your own. If they provide one for you, they'll charge you. I recommend borrowing from someone who has the smallest car, so its harder to hit the cones.

It depends on your internet. AOL, your dad would have to unblock it. Maybe if he left the computer for a second? Or, you could make up some excuse to go on his screename, and unblock it then, when he isn't looking.

Okay.. Im not having a baby and im not planning on having one im just wondering who belives in abortion. I've asked and people have said it *depend* well then what makes it right and what makes it murder? Like if you were raped.. or something in general **forced** in my opinion makes abortion look like a way out which should be tooken. But if the girl runs around fucking anything and just doesn't want a baby that makes it wrongg...

I'm strongly agaisnt abortions, not matter what the circumstances are. If you have an abortion, you're killing someone. If you shoot someone and kill them, you go to prison. If you kill a baby, who hasn't even had a chance at life outside the womb, nothing happens? That just isn't right. If you don't want a baby, stop sleeping around. Its that simple.
If you were raped, I'm still against it. I've actually debated abou this one though. But, I'm still against it. I know you didn't mean to have the kid, and it wasn't your fault, but you're still killing a person.
There's always adoption. Tons of families out there want kids, but can't have any. Or, like I said before, simply don't have sex, unless you're ready to bring a child into this world.
The only reason I'd even consider abortion to not be completely wrong was if the mother's life is in danger. If an abortion was the only way the save the mother's life, then I'm for it. But that is the ONLY situation I'd be for it.

I know exactly how you feel! It's incredibly annoying. The worst part is, they don't have a clue what they're doing. They have to ask how/where to get a condom, where to have it, what to do after, and a bunch of other questions that if you were really ready, you wouldn't have to ask. At 13, I never thought about having sex anytime soon, or really a boyfriend for that matter.
Not every guy only wants sex. Maybe try talking to them earlier in the relationship about it. Most of the time, you can kind of tell who would and who wouldn't. But, not all.
Just try not to get mixed in with the wrong crowd. If they pressure you into it, just leave, then and there. Don't worry too much about being taken advantage of, because you don't want trust issues to ruin your relationship.

Things I've tried:
Try making it private. Explain to your dad what it looks like. You won't let people you don't personally know be your friend. Also, don't put personal information, like your school and city you live in, things along those lines. For your picture, either have a group picture, or don't have one at all. People won't be able to see other pictures, unless they're your friend. You can have pictures, but not a default one. Try showing him your myspace, then maybe he'll aprove. My mom was watching Dr. Phil, and he even said that myspace wasn't that bad, as long as you use it for the right reasons and having your parents look at it is a good idea. You could also try explaining that its a great way to keep in touch with friends you don't get to see often, especially if you've ever changed schools.
If all else fails, ask for a facebook. A lot of people have them now. When my mom wouldn't let me have a myspace, she said I would be able to get a facebook. Her friends' daughter, who is like 23, said it's a lot better than myspace.
If you go against his will, be very careful. I did that, and it didn't work. My parents found mine in the first place because they went through my history while I was at school. A while later, I got another one, and thought I could get away with it by just deleting my history. Then, my friend was over, and my parents were like stating an example, like someone got raped because of myspace. Then, my friend was like, "Oh, Maggie's myspace isn't that bad. I've seen it. Trust me." Surprisingly, I didn't get grounded, but she made me delete it. So, if you do decide that, be extremely cautious.

Or at least where I can find the original Sims game for my computer or gameboy advance because I can't find it at Walmart, and you can buy it -without- having a different Sims game for the requirement. I'm pretty sure there's nowhere you can download it legally. Illegally, I'm not sure either. But, you can buy it really cheap now, since it's so old, for under $5.

I'm assuming I just answered your question about periods? Anyways, it might. You'll hit puberty, and your body will change. Overall, you'll just grow. So, it probably will. It will even out your body, and you'll grow out of that awkward stage, where your body isn't all caught up yet. Give it a year or two after you get your period, and you should have had your growth spurt by then, and you'll look fine. Good luck!

There's nothing you can do to make it start. You'll get it eventually. You don't want it anyway, it's just a pain. Being skinny has really nothing to do with it. Everyone's different, and gets it at different times, size doesn't matter.

Because you have dreams about him, doesn't mean he has the same feelings. I'm not saying he might not like you. If your friend said he has a "glow" when he's around you, then he might. There's really no way to tell for sure, unless you ask him. Same thing with you. No one here can decide if you have feelings for him. Its just something you have to figure out for yourself.
