advice

i had an apicoectomy yesterday morning..its the process of fixing my failed root canal. im taking pain pills, and i think im doing very good for just having surgery, so does my family. i have 3 stitches in my gums, but they should dissolve any day. i have cheer tryouts tuesday through saturday of next week. so about 5 days away til the first day of tryouts. im feeling alright for now, and i know i should take it easy for a few days, but do you think i should be able to do tryouts in 5 days without harming my mouth if im careful? i have to do my tumbling tryouts tuesday, but i will be careful!! thanks! =]

I think you should be fine and i mean its your mouth and its a minor surgery and generally your mouth doesnt affect like you legs haha. be careful and if you feel like something is wrong then dont push yourself go rest and get checked out but you should be fine. be careful ad dont push yourself too hard and you should do great-good luck! :) also notify your coaches because of your meds and try calling your dentist to ask about the medicine and how it could affect you and also just to make sure your OK :)

I'm a Senior in High School and I have been dating my boyfriend for about a year now. We've been having sex for a while now and prom is coming up pretty fast.
The problem is, is that looking at my Period cycle I am getting very worried that I might have my period on prom and I really really do not want that to take place (Because i would like to make love to my boyfriend on prom night;D )
My question is; is there a way to prolong your period? How would I be able to do it. My prom is May 9th so it's coming along fast. Someone told me birth control but how would I be able to get it with out the help of my parents and a prescription if I even need a prescription.
Please I am in need of help! Thank you :)

first you CAN have sex while on your period but i wouldnt suggest it. lol just imagine it...ya kinda awkward. lol anyway

there are local clinics in your area that will give you birth control without any questions and that can help and also you might want to get on the pill anyway if your having sex. also i heard a lot of excersining can do it but besides those things there is nothing you can really do. and for birth control you need to take it at least a couple weeks in advance so if you want to try that dont wait!

if you end up having it tell him and just either have sex anyway or plan an AMAING night for both of you a week later or something.

i need to know how to convince my mom to get me contacts early.
she said i could have them if i wore my glasses consecutively for a year, which is going to be in november. but i just hate glasses, and they limit me to what i can do. i cant join sports teams at school because of my glasses, and they just make me feel really self conscious and i hate them. so my question is, how do i convince her to let me get them before summer instead of in november? thanksss.

like the other person said wait a while and wear them and dont complain because it will show your parents you are more responcible. i think getting them before school would be a better option because if you explain to your parents about how they make you feel and act responcible and mature first they will want to help you because your acting mature and second its more reasonable. getting them before the start of next year is a great way to start a new school yr. tell them how you feel in them and why you want them but learn to appreciate yourself and your beauty no matter what your in or how you look on the outside. build your self confidence! contacts wont give you what your looking for unless you feel confident in yourself. but i also understand thinking they make you look prettier and how glasses take away from your beauty. i've had glasses since like 2nd grade and contacts since 7th.

also though you can play sports because they have these bands that you attach to your glasses and it secures them so if you really want to do a sport look into those.

OK- here's my story:

I am blessed to have the greatest job in the world. My grandfather was an acclaimed prof. photographer- the best man I've ever known. He passed away, that was the worst pain I've ever felt. I salvaged my life (from partying & getting into trouble- I'm now only 21) and decided to follow in his footsteps. I work for an amazing portrait studio, where all of my dreams are coming true. I've worked here for almost 4 years now. It all started when I began taking photography classes that were given by the owner & chief, master photographer & CEO. (This company has 4 seperate locations, it's kind of a big deal, the most prominant & well known studio in the state, can you tell that I feel important to be a part of it much? lol) Well, now that I think about it, it started when I had been here for maybe 2 years. The owner would make little comments here & there, I ate it up though, I loved the attention. He's 62 years old & I admire him in the same respect that I admire my grandfather- there's only two people I hold in that light, him & my grandfather. I called a psychic when I was struggling & the psychic told me that my grandfather wanted me to know that there's someone in my career around the same age as him that is my guiding light, & for me to go to him when I wanted to give up. This was a sign I thought for sure, so I told the owner about it, & he proceeded to tell me how much he cared about me, & he was making it his duty to see me succeed. So now, after photo class one night he calls me into his office. We chat about life for a minute (he decides to tell me how unhappy he is in his marriage, & I proceed to do the same & complain about my engagement- yes- that's the kicker- I'm engaged!) He tells me he wants me to model for him semi-topless, & he tells me he doesn't trust himself because he is extremely attracted to me, & tells me to stop him if he makes me uncomfortable. So I agree (I know, I know, but I've always liked way older men & the thought of turning him on, turned me on I can't lie.) So the next week I go to class knowing what's going on after hours. Everyone leaves, we start the shoot- he makes the move & I took it, hook line & sinker- kissing nothing else. That was a confusing time for me, sorting out exactly how I felt (Is it because I admire & respect him so much? Why am I so turned on by this?) So things snowballed & we both have fallen in love with each other- I can't lie- I am 21 years old, in love with the 62 year old owner of the company! He sees me for who I am, he makes me feel so special & he says things to me that I have been waiting to hear all of my life & he means them. He is a wonderful man who sees the drive in me, & he is pushing me to better myself, & making it his own business to see me succeed. He has told me more than once if I ever wanted it to end he'd be upset but he would never treat me different, he feels selfish because he is so much older than me & knows I deserve better, he just hopes I find someone that treats me better than my fiance. Here's the kicker- I just moved to another one of his studios- the one ran by his son. His son is 32, attractive, charismatic & we get along really well. From the moment I came here I had feelings for him. (I came here before the affair started) When the owner kissed me that's the first thing I thought of, what would his son think? And I've been battling myself as to whether or not I should've told him from the start that I had feelings for his son. I know he see's the chemistry between us, everyone does. His son has a girlfriend but flirts with me nonstop, & the owner has told me he's had dreams that me & his son end up together. He's also said "I hope Jason (his son) finds someone better than his girlfriend, but I hope it's not you." So I know he has some apprehensions about this. Jason & I are also both unhappy in our relationships- & he is realistically someone I could see myself being with, for one he's much closer in age. Like I said, I've had feelings for him before the affair started with his father. Oh here's something really exciting I can't leave out: The owner & I are in his office one day after hours, getting busy if you know what I mean. The doors are locked & we're going at it.....the door downstairs slams! We scramble to put our clothes on- there's a knock at the door- the owner stutters "just a second!" opens the door- it's jason! Unreal right? I'm hoping he won't be suspicious. Of cousre the next time me & him are alone he starts making wise cracks about the door being locked & so on- we always joke inappropriatley with each other so I acted like he was crazy & told him he just wished I was in his office with the door locked lol So....what do I do? Do I tell his father how I feel? Am I crazy for being in this love triangle? I would really love an outsiders opinion on my whole situation here....even my mother is at a loss for words- I mean I can't blame her this is kind of crazy. Please help Thers's so much more I could tell but I think you get the basic idea. Ugh- help please- this is mentally draining!

ok first r u still engaged?!?! cause you NEED to tell your fiancee because he deserves to know. and you need to break it off with the older guy and dont do anything with Jason. i think you need to just STOP, go on a break without any men, and really think about what you did and mostly WHY. you can get back together with the old guy or find a new guy but you need to sit down with yourself and decide why you did that and what you truly want. the point of dating is to meet the guy you want to spend the rest of your life with. and you should only do things with a guy your dating.

did you just like how he makes you feel special and happy? if so great but dont just keep getting together with him and ruining other peoples lives (your fiancee, the guy's son, etc) just to feel good. and you need to seriously think about if you want to be with someone who son is in your age group. like i said the point of dating is to eventually marry. would you want to become that sons mother? wouldnt that be a bit weird?

just really take some time to think things over and what i would do is write down want you want in your future husband and what your limits are (like no affairs or liking a guy and his son) and figure things out. your very confused and in a bad situation right now and it could mess up the lives of many people and that isnt fair to them. straighten things out with yourself then you can find a guy. you have to be ok with yourself before you can be ok with a guy and you have to have a good relationship with yourself before getting into a good, smart, solid intimate relationship with a man.

ok so hes married still, right? well that shows hes not faithful and just make sure to REEEALLY consider if you want to see him further like in a serious relationship) and think about how his wife must feel and what if you were her. first off he wanted to start something with you thats so obvious because he asked you to pose half undressed and TOLD u he was attracted to you (WAAY obvious) and he wanted to have a fun thing with a pretty young woman. yes, he probably does care about you buut still think about it. he was willing to cheat on his wife so he could easily cheat on youu. hope i helped and best of luck

Hello all!

I met a wonderful man and have been dating him for quite some time. He is everything I feel women can ask of a man. Among other things he’s sweet, attentive, family oriented and even cooks and cleans (and better than me).

Well, he sat down with me to talk and told me how much he cared for and wanted to be with me and how he liked things to take a step forward. He then gave me keys to his apt, which I didn't accept. He also said that (at that moment) it would be a good time to share with me this bomb shell... Since he knew he wanted to continue seeing me and wants things to get more serious, he felt he should "come clean".

He married an ex-girlfriend of his for papers (naturalization). The process will take about another year or so. He hasn't been with this girl for some time now and she is also, currently dating someone. What do I do? I value marriage so strongly and he is most certainly a very strong candidate for it. I'd marry him in a heartbeat, but I feel so lost. Am I over-reacting for feeling so ANGRY? Do I continue seeing him despite this? Will I forever hold resentment because of this if I choose to go on?

He is so concerned with my thoughts on this, but I honestly don’t know what to think and even less what to do? Any insight will be appreciated.

it would really upset me too but did he marry her because he wanted to or just because he needed papers? if he wanted to commit to her and then didnt then there is a problem. if it was only for papers then talk to him and think it over and it will take some time for you to accept it and get over it but i think you should stay with him. hope i helped

Hiii!

I've been working out awhile now, and I hardly eat "junk food" (when I say junk food, I mean like chips, fast food, candy etc.). However, is it really bad if I cheat out and eat ice cream once in a while? Or eat 2 bowls of rice or something like that?

ok well i'm dating my ex again and we get along really well consdiering we've known each other forever and have dated a couple times. but this time it's kinda weird between us.. he calls and we talk for like 10 mins then he says he's tired and he wants to go to sleep. i mean i can understand this sometimes but HE DOES IT EVERY NIGHT. and it makes me think that he's bored with me or something.. do you think he is? what should i do to make him stop doing this? HELP ME!!!

Okay, so i used to think hooking up was sex...most people do. Well some people in my school were saying like "omg jen and bret hooked up this weekend!" (im in 8th grade btw) and i thought wait, its way to early for sex and i asked wait what did they do, they said they made out. So people-boys and girls, of all ages, what in your mind is hooking up?

a lot of people think of it as sex but i think of it as making out. you can say someone hooked up with someone else but they just madeout. so what im saying is most people see it as sex but others see it as making out or going a little farther and messing around if you use it besides for sex just say so-thats what i do. hope i helped :]

How do you convert from being catholic to christian?

Catholics arw Christians but they can very different in what they think. If you want to start exploring Christianity rather than Catholicism(?) just start reading books, going to churches, etc. you could get baptized but you probably already have if your Catholic. You dont really need to do any special act for anyone except pephaps yourself. Just sit down and think about everything after learning about Christianity and then officially decide your a Christian and accept that as your religion instead of being Catholic. Tho Catholics are in essense Christians they think of themselves(and everyone else does) as a different type of Christianity or even religion. I have been dating my boyfriend for a while now. Since 6th grade. Im 16, im in the 10th grade. Hes 17 in the 11th grade. Last night, he asked to see my text messages. I simply said no. Because my thing is, its my personal bussiness, and your not entitled to see it. So he gets mad, and says that obviously im hiding something. Was i wrong for not letting him see the text messages?

i agree that you shouldnt have to show him and you really dont have any reason too but it does sound like you were hiding something because most feel like if there isnt anything bad about them then you dont care who sees them. try and explain to your bf that you just dont see why he cares but if it were me i would let my bf. i ask him if i can see his txts. hope i helped :)

im 15 years old. my name is william.

I am a freshman in highschool and for the past year ive been getting into drugs and alcohol very bad. my family doesnt trust me anymore, my friends (who got me into this shit) hate me and fuck with me. one of my best friends just jacked my ipod so that kinda hurt me. i can't get through the day without some pot or beer now, im turning into a complete alcoholic (kinda drunk right now). im ugly, i have very bad back acne, im getting 5 F's in school, no one (my family or friends) trust or like me. I have no one to talk to, i'm always grounded so I have nothing to do. I just want to make my life better, im fucking miserable right now. If I could i'd do better in school, I really try, but I don't get any of the math or science shit. I never did good in school, but 5 F's is outrageous and I need to change it. I try to get new friends, but im always shy and can't start or keep a conversation with anyone at school. I want to change who I am. I want to meet new people. But I can't. I want to get good grades, I want to do good in school and make my family proud, and stay out of drugs/alcohol, but I can't. I'm just that stupid kid that no one likes. maybe i'll just die.

well i just want to say that i think you should go to your family cause they alreadu know your doing bad stuff so just say hey i finally want to get some help and fix my life so it isnt so f***** up. ask them to set you up with a counselor/support group and stuff that can help and they can tell you how to quit and help you deal with all of it. everything else comes after you quit. hope i helped :)

ok well i think its wrong if he flirts with other girls but i also think its wrong if you like his friend!! whats the difference? cause even if u dont mean to you probably flirt a little with that cute friend of his hahaha stay with your bf, forget the friend FOR NOW, talk to your bf about flirting ( i did and he says he doesnt mean to and thinks im the hottest girl ever and only cares about me :] ) and then if things dont work out with your bf then go for that cute friend! but not immediatly unless he did something wrong or you will seem like you never cared about him hope i helped :]

im pretty sure its a sty. they suck but they get better and go away. just make sure you wash your face and take all your makeup off (esp eye haha duh) and they go away really quickly normally hope i helped

this girl who ive never met before just started a bunch of crap with me and a few people. its getting to the point where its going to have to be handled in person.
i'm into kickboxing classes, so i know how to punch pretty hard.
bottom line is, if it gets down to the point where needed, i will punch this girl in the face.

OMG i am freaking out right now. for the past few months i've been texting and calling my friend but not a lot. but everytime i call him he doesnt pick up, and this other person picks up cursing me off. but when my friend texts me, its him. i dont get it, and its the same number. and today he texted me and i answered him. he calls me and leaves me a voicemail, only its not him its the other person! he said idc who you are you better stop fcking calling this number. then he texts me and says yeah bitch found out all your info, pressing charges, enjoy! is that possible to find out someones info just by their cell phone number? i'm seriously really scared, someone please give me any advice!

it is possible to find out a persons info based on the number but it still depends and you might now be available because of your age you arent in thre yet. (there=the lists of pple and there numbers and addresses and stuff) your under your parents most likely if they bought the phone and your a minor. anyway i have no idea what to do about that weird guy just ask your friend who it is, CHECK THE # cause maybe he changed or you are calling someone else by accident and if nothing else tell your friend to call you cause you cant call him or txt him and say hey call me so you dont always miss his calls if thats the problem. hope i helped! :] good luck and btw you wont have charges pressed against you but to be sure stop calling!!!!!

I was watching this show and a pastor of a church was on there and he said to streghthen or save a relationship you should have sexs for thirty days straight. I've only been on birth control for a little longer than a month and i was wondering if i had sex everday for 30 days will there be more of a chance of me getting pregnant?

ok i know what your talking about and please let me remind you that its for married couples cause idk if your married or not but its supposed to strenghthen marriages because of the careers and kids you take care of you forget about each other and your guys' needs. sex helps a marriage succeed but sex seems to break up a lot of dating relationships. but the birth control has just the same amount of chance as letting you get pregnant the eigth time, the eleventh time, and the twenty-second time. but the more you have sex the more chance you get pregnant cause everytime you have sex you put yourself in position for that possibility. Okay so I guess I'll start this whole big story from the very beginning. My friend and I just walk around school in the morning before class actually starts because there's nothing better to do. And after a few days my friend started noticing some kid that would always make really "awkward" eye contact with her. After a while of noticing him, we realized he was always in places where were. So we decided to follow him around some days and it was really fun because he never realized. One day while my friend and I were talking about him our other friend over heard and told us the kids name. So my friend and I found his Facebook and decided to talk to him. After a while of talking to him I realized he was a really cool guy. I eventually got his number and we texted non-stop. It became so much that if I didn't answer back within 5 minutes he would send another text saying '?'. Anyways, basically his phone got taken away, and in school it's just way to awkward when I even try talking to him. I always try to keep in my head what I'm going to say, but when I face him I can't think of anything. I really like him, and I know he likes me but I just don't know how to make us 'normal' after texting so much. It kinda just made me more afraid of him and everything more awkward. =/ What should I do?

i know you might not be comfortable with it but one day just muster up all your courage and go ask him whats going on! just even starting saying and wahts up when you see him in passing in the hallways and maybe ask him when he gets him phone back to start a convo then you know complain about parents and im sure you can get a great convo going from there! you just have to give it a try! good luck
