All these answers you got are wrong and I think you know that because you obviously realized that being Catholic doesn't make you a Christian. So I applaud you for asking this question.

Being a Christian is having a personal relationship with God through Jesus. It's not a list of do's and don'ts. It's not going to church. It's not saying hail Marys. It's not saying meaningless redundant prayers. It's not religion; it's relationship.

Jesus Himself is our mediator. So the first thing you need is to realize there is absolutely nothing you can do to be right with God. Being a Christian is accepting God's free gift of Grace, which is Jesus. Repenting of your sins directly to Jesus and truly accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior makes a person a Christian. Again it's relationship, not religion.

Going to church gets you around other believers and helps you learn more about Jesus. Just find a church that teaches biblical truth. You may ask, How do I know what biblical truth is? Read the bible yourself. Start with the book of John (fourth book in the new testament) Reading the Bible is the Word of God, so reading it will show you what God has to say and what pleases Him. Praying is the communication with God that builds the relationship with Him. Prayer is conversation with your friend. Just talk to Him the way you would talk to your best friend because if you know Jesus personally, that's what He is. He's your best friend.

I hope that helps you understand that your question was a very good question.

Since Catholics are Christian, you might want to just try going to different types of churches. Some of the different denominations are Baptist, Methodist, Church of Christ, Latter-Day Saints, Presbyterian, Seventh-Day Adventists, Jehovah's Witness, Episcopalian, etc. If you experience different ways of learning about Christianity, you will most likely find something that you really believe in. Converting to being "unCatholic" is not the same as converting to Catholicism- you just decide what you want to be :)

There is not an specific process if that's what you mean. But there are certain differences between the two. So just go to a Christian church and you'll see the difference like there's some beliefs that are not shared by both so once you define yourself as one (in your case Christian) then eventually you'll stop doing stuff or carrying beliefs from the other (catholic). Just let God guide you and you'll know what to do. trust me I've through this.
hope this helps

Catholics arw Christians but they can very different in what they think. If you want to start exploring Christianity rather than Catholicism(?) just start reading books, going to churches, etc. you could get baptized but you probably already have if your Catholic. You dont really need to do any special act for anyone except pephaps yourself. Just sit down and think about everything after learning about Christianity and then officially decide your a Christian and accept that as your religion instead of being Catholic. Tho Catholics are in essense Christians they think of themselves(and everyone else does) as a different type of Christianity or even religion. I hope i helped and if you have more questions about Christianity please ask because I would be happy to help! :] good luck!!
