This boy and my self confidence!
I am 17/f and in my last year of high school.
I just noticed a boy in my class who is absolutely gorgeous and I am seriously in love with this guy. I hae class with him four times a week. I have never spoken to him before and i wouldn't know what to say. He keeps catching me staring at him from the other side of the room, it's so bad. I just really want to get to know him but I don't want to go and talk to him. I don't know any of his friends or know anyone who knows any of them. He is more popular than I am. :S
My biggest problem is that I have absolutely no selfconfidence around him, I feel like such an idiot. and i cant even sit properly in my chair coz I feel uncomfortable and like he is watching me and probasbly thinks I am an idiot.
What do I do?

hi again, i thought of some more useful tips that i figured youd still be interesting to hear.
okay, well heres some things you can say to start a conversation:
1. (the popular) do you have a pen i could borrow?
which also gives you a second chance to talk to him when you give him the pen back.
2. (you) hi, do you know when spring break is?
(him:blahblahblah)
(you) oh thanks. im 'your name' by the way.
(him: im blabblahblah)
3. i dont get this. can you help me? (like pretend you dont understand whats going on in class.)
those might be silly, but atleast they'll get you guys talking. hopefully after you get past that wall of fear, you will feel much better to go back to him and talk more and more. also if you really like him, make sure you dont put yourself out there to much. keep in mind- you want him to make some moves also. lead him on, but let him lead the way. and once again- be confident, and try to be funny. make jokes, try to seem like your loose and laid back. but most important- BE YOURSELF. dont ever feel like you have to be someone else just to get him to like you. and have fun! <3

every girl has had this problem before, no big deal.
guys find confidence an attractie quality in a girl. even if you arent totally secure with every little part of yourself, there are ways to seem like you are.
you need to start a conversation with him, it can be about anything.. from like the homework assignment due tomorrow, to his favorite kidn of music.
once you get over the fear of talking to him for the first time, i promise it will get easier and easier.

make yourself stand out. talk more in class, be more friendly to the people you are around, if you don't want to go up and talk to him yourself. but if you do, that is way more effective. but, since you don't, just make sure your presence is known. if he catches you starring, look him in the eyes and smile. then turn away. as for your self confidence, cheer up! remember that who you are is incredible, and if you think that, he is bound to. and the popularity thing doesn't matter, don't let those kinds of things effect how you feel about yourself.
