yesterday and today I have felt starving 24/7 no matter what. Like i'll eat a meal, then feel really painfully starving 2 hours later. (or less)
But before 2 days ago I rarely ever felt hungry!

Yeah, diets can be hard sometimes. Your body is probably still craving the things that you are trying not to eat, or getting less of. One way to ward off the hunger pangs is to always have something with you to snack on that has some protein in it... yogurt, trail mix, nuts, that sort of thing. And always have water on hand to drink... it's always great to drink a lot of water, plus it will fill your stomach in a little more. Hang in there!

I am going into 8th grade. The first and last time my mom actually bought me a bra was in the beginning of 6th grade. That bra is a 34 A and i'm sorry it's old, sweaty and my boobs got way bigger from then. I'm not exagerrating. I know what you are thinking: ask your mom to get you a new one, stupid. My mom is SOO IMMATURE when it comes to stuff like that. Today we were in old navy and OH MY GOSH! PRAISE THE LORD! MOM ASKED IF I NEEDED A BRA. I was about to say yes but she was like giggling and gesturing to her boobs and smiling. So I said no and turned red and walked away. I know I should buy my own, but I buy alot of my other stuff that my mom won't buy. It takes me a while to even earn 60 dollars from babysitting, and I don't want to buy a bra because it gets me really mad that my mom could buy one for me if she was a little more mature. Everytime I try to get myself to buy my own, I picture how much money i'm losing. Don't think my mom buys all my other stuff, she doesn't. I do. And i'm NOT COMPLAINING, because I think that teaches me well when I buy my own stuff. But A BRA. THE LAST time she bought me one was when I was 11. I'm realy embarrased to ask her. Should I get up the courage and ask, and have the next few days be awkward, or go to the mall this week and use my own 20 dollars? (link)

Just tell her that you need a bra... and that you would like to be able to talk about it seriously, girl to girl. Tell her that you get embarassed. Whether or not it becomes a serious subject, hey, at least you'll get what you need. When I talked to my mom about that, she pretty much said, "go buy your own then". It made me think... if you need it, get it. (plus, I had to buy it on a $9.00 a month budget. Ouch! said the piggy bank!) Good luck... hope I helped!

It will do everything right, except play songs. I can turn it off and on. I can go to different menus. I can do all the usally stuff. The only thing I can not do is play songs. I'll pick a song, and the clock timer wont move AT ALL. I'll hit paly and in the top left corner it will show the pause then play button which ever time i clock. SO I have no idea. I tryed resetting it, i tried to charge it, i tried to sync it...nothing worked. AND I DONT HAVE A WARNETY on it and its not even ayear old yet. (link)

Try plugging it into the computer. When you see all your songs in a list, make sure that the squares before the title of each song are checked off, not blank. Other than that, just go to iPod help. Good luck!

About a month or two ago I made a promise to God that I would not masturbate until I turned 14. Several months ago, probably like 3 or 4 maybe 5, I turned 13. But, I broke that promise. And I know it's really bad to do that, and I'm a Catholic! But the really bad thing is, that I keep telling God I won't do it again, but I do! Sometimes when I cross my legs my clitoris throbs and it feels good, does that count? A part of me feels like he forgives me, partly because it was the time of my period when you're in heat, but part of me feels like he won't forgive me and I don't deserve to go to Heaven. I feel like I've broken my promise, God never breaks a promise and I feel unworthy. I talk to God a lot, I pray a lot, and praise him a lot. But sometimes I'm not nice to others like I should be. Like lying, or making fun of someone and not apologizing, although most of the time I do, yet I do it again! I truly, truly, truly need help to keep my promise and stay un-horny. Will I go to hell for this? Will he forgive me? I feel so scared, I want to go to Heaven! I worship God with all my heart, I really do. And I believe in Jesus and his commandments and in the beatitudes. But one night a while back, I wanted to sort of have my own way of getting an immediate answer with him. Years ago, I bought a statue of Jesus from Canada and the hands broke off accidentally. So I took one hand and fell alseep with it in my hand and asked him to have me wake up with it on the right side of my bed if the answer was "Yes, you will go to Heaven." and it go to the left side if the answer was no. It landed on the left side underneath me! I'm scared. I've done this before, and I asked him if I would meet my sisters in Heaven (I never met them) and it landed on the right side. Is this kind of witch craft or something? Well I'm really scared, so please answer this question! (link)

Okay, first of all, I wouldn't go by the hand of the Jesus statue. I think it's just chance- don't try to make God answer right away. He will answer in His own good time. Just be patient. But, sometimes He won't answer if it it a selfish desire. Just do what you think is right.
If you made a promise to the Lord, you have to commit! He has held up His promises to you. Work at it! You CAN control your desires. The people who do are the ones who are truly great. IT is a habit and a hard one to break at that, but you can do it!

i hope this doesnt offend anyone. my family is catholic, but i live in a place where almost everyone is baptist. all my friends go to this one really huge baptist church. and i guess at this church they believe that catholics arent really christians and wont go to heaven. i know people have different beliefs and im fine with that. but sometimes people will say stuff that really hurts me. like once i was showing my friend and her mom my baby pictures and there was a picture of me in my baptism gown. and her mom started telling me how my church is wrong to baptize babies, and how shes so glad her daughter was baptised the "right" way. and then last night i was at a sleepover and there was this girl there that i didnt know. she asked me what church i go to and when i told her, she said "oh. well, catholics arent the strongest christians." there was this big silence and no one said anything for a long time, and i didnt know what to say. i dont blame people for believing what their church and family teaches them, but i dont understand why they have to say mean things that would hurt someone. and i dont know how i should react when people say that kind of thing to me. has anyone been through something like this? and how did you handle it?

I get this, too, even though I'm not Cathilic. I will try to answer the best I can, though I don't know much about your religion. The answer really depends on the situation, but usually a little gentle correction will stop it. Like that "Catholics aren't the strongest Christians" thing. You could explain to her about some of the things that you do that remind you about Jesus every day. Explain about Mary (that might be where some people get on the wrong track). Maybe they will even start trying to understand your church a little better! The truth is, everyone has the right to worship in any way that they want. I hope that you can know how to help those people understand what you believe.

hey. ok, well, i'm 14/f. here latley i've been thinking about taking up the guitar. i'm a total girly-girl, but i just think it would be a lot of fun to play. but here is my question...is it like, really really hard to learn? i mean, i know it will be hard and you have to put effort into it, but i just want to know if it is super-duper hard to learn. like i said, i know it won't be just like that and you learn it, but if it is SUPER hard, then i might have second thoughts. and if anyone can give me some tips before i start playing, that would be great!! thanks!!!!! Well, I will say that you can play it the day you pick it up. I will not say that it will be anything special. You can learn one or two chords in a day,and just practice them over and over. One good way to keep at it is to go to tabcrawler.com and find the chords to a song that you really like. You can learn to play it and practice the chords that way. There are also books full of pictures of people doing different chords.
Also, learning to play the guitar is hard on your fingers. They will be sore after a lot of playing... just keep on it and your fingers will get little callouses so that it won't hurt at all anymore. Good luck with the guitar playing and practice often!

with my makeup, i wondering how i could do it differently. I have very large blue eyes with VERY long eye lashes. All i do now is put on a little bit of foundation to even things out, and no blush or anything because my cheeks are already VERY red then I put VERY little eyeliner on my top eye lid along with mascara on the top and bottom lashes, and then eye liner on the bottom of my eye lids.
i want to still look presentable, but i want to change things up, any ideas?

It sounds like you really like a natural look-you can use some sheer eyeshadow from the lashline to the crease, or put two different colors on, like one on the main lid and one in the crease. Also, try just putting eyeliner on the outer half of the top lid, and VERY little on the bottom. Have fun!

OK, this is very weird & sorry, I had no idea what to put it under. Anyway, for some reason, when I eat a meal, I never ever eat the last bite. I mean I'm sure I could if I really tried, but, it usually just happens that there is that little last piece that I feel I can't eat! Everyones is like, "oh, you can't eat that last little bit?" Dude, I do that too! It's nice knowing that someone else out there has the same quirks as I do. In fact, I googled "last bite" and variations on it, and I discovered there are a lot of people who do that. Most of them are doing it for a reason, whether it is to rebel against the clean plate (I'll stop when I'm full, and not a moment after!), or to avoid doing the dishes (a.k.a. the half-inch slice of cake left). I can't help you... don't rate me on this one, I am just as curious as you are to hear the answer.

okay today was last day of school and the last time im gonna see my close friend cause she is moving to korea tommorow.And then when the class ended i tried to hold my tears but i burst up crying but she didnt see it yet so she asked me to take a picture with her and she saw me crying and she was trying to cheer me up by saying "its okay" but i told her"its not okay your leaving" and she got quite and she stayed there for like 5 minutes because i was still crying but next thing you know she said'im going now dont cry okay?" and she turned back and went somewhere. and after that i cant stop crying for 3 hours and im not kidding what do you think about this? and why do you think she left when i was crying? I think that she was just as confused as you were. She didn't know what to do about it because the situation is probably painful for her too. Plus she probably had to say goodbye to others that she knew. It is a very natural reaction to cry when someone you love is leaving- we all have or will experience that. I hope that things can work out. And don't think that she doesn't care for you. I'm sure she does. I don't know why she left you, only she does-ask her.It will help both of you. Contact really helps to ease the pain of someone leaving.

my family is fighting alot lately. Ever since my aunt died (april 8) :( my dad has been smoking alot more, which isnt good. He trys to quit, but it doesnt work. Also like everyone just gets mad at everyone alot now and idk what to do
Ideas to make my family happyer?
We all miss my aunt alot, she was really close to us. But idk why is my family acting this way, so am i and i dont even know why. I think most of it is me, i dont know, but i always get mad at the simpilest things with my parents.

I think you are right- your loss has probably triggered something inside your family. This is a tough question to answer, and this is the best I have. Just love them. You can talk things over when you're ready, but realize that this is not a normal thing for your family and it will probably not continue to be. But don't let it. The change can start with you. Pay attention to how you treat the members of your family and do good things for them. It will make you all feel better. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope your family can heal soon.

The best way to get started is probably not to "audition" anywhere right away. Start volunteering to play at different places. Then when you want to you can start charging people to see you. Get yourself a reputation and a few songs before you try to make it big. Good luck with your girl band!

Sounds like you are worried about what other people think about your body. They already think you are skinny! Why worry about it?
I strongly caution you against throwing up. It trashes a lot of your body's nutrients and chance to be healthy. You are 15, for Pete's sake. You have a lot of growing to do... Just make sure that you are healthy by getting exercise, sleeping, and eating right. When your body is healthy you feel better about yourself. Good luck! I hope it all works out.

Okay so at my school, I have been insulted so many times, over all these things. I have been insulted for my style, the music I listen to, how 'ugly' I am, etc. etc.
And it just hurts to hear all these things, and yes I have gone to a principal just once, and I was called a snitch and things just got worse. So what should I do about being verbally harrassed?

There's always the alphabet game. Each team gets a certain amount of money to buy things with. They have to buy separate things that start with as many of the letters of the alphabet as they can afford. It's fun!

I don't personally wear abercrombie or hollister, because i know longer like it. mostly because, loser people pushed me away from it. they told me that i was being a follower, and that i should get my own taste in fashion. well, that was my taste in fashion. i actually liked it. i wasn't just following the crowd. and now, that i dont shop there. im like lost, i never know where to go. and thats not fair, that they always bugged me about it. and i even see like, on here, where people say that if you buy that stuff, then you dont know what fashion is, and your not grown up because you cant get your own opinion on things. well isnt that kinda being judgemental? i mean, not everyone is just following the crowd. i dont understand why some people make such a big deal out of it. i mean, why cant people just wear whatver they want? its just clothing? why dont those people just care about themselves? and worry whats going on with them?

That is the steriotype- that if you wear Hollister and AE, you're not being yourself. But steriotypes are not always true. It sure sounds like it isn't in this case. You just wear it because you like it. You can tell those people (nicely, please!) exactly what you told us. It IS your taste in fashion.
You know what you like and you like those clothes. I don't think you'll have a problem expressing your opinion. And if they don't change their minds, don't sweat it- everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Good luck trying to smooth it over!

I am redoing my room this summer and i have a queen sized bed, and i might get a full instead.
I am looking for really good sites with teen bedspreads on them. I have googled a lot, and i have only found one bedspread that i like (Seventeen seascape). I dont want anything with a lot of flowers. Polka dots are good and so are some stripes. I like these colors for it: Green, orange, pink, blue. ok..srry this is gonna be long...i got a bf at school..even though i'm not allowed to have a bf (i'm 15/female) and a week and a half later my mom and dad found out...and i've only hugged and held hands w/ my bf,fyi...my dad said i can hold hands w/ him..and hug him only, but as friends. so i asked him " why would i hold hands w/ one of my friends" he said "take the offer or leave it" and i told my bf all this and he said "whatever ur parents dont know wont hurt them" but if i ever went out w/ my bf to the movies or anywhere my parents said we had to go w/ a group...and i want to kiss him and stuff but if i went out w/ him its for sure that my parents would ask "did you two kiss" and i cant lie..i dont want to lie...i have my parents trust and loosing it would be awful...but i'd die if i had to be his gf and not kiss him or anything...and i like him a lot! any advice? Okay, slow down. Everything will be all right. Now, don't let him pressure you into a situation with your parents. I know you two like eachother a lot, but when he says that your parents don't have to know, that's a red flag. Gain the trust of your parents before you kiss him. It sounds to me like they maybe lost a little trust when they found out about the bf thing. It's a tough situation that you got yourself into... but you haven't kissed him yet. Slow down and think about things as they happen and I'm sure you'll be fine.

so last night my sister [17] had a bunch of her friends over. i'm 15 [turning 16 in september] and one of her guy friends [17] likes me. i just met him last night, and he apparently really likes me. but he was sweet about it and didn't say i was hot, but said i was very attractive. and we sat next to each other and he was very casually putting his arm around me and kept moving closer.
i could tell that he definitely wanted to make out with me, but i just felt weird about it since i just met him. i mean he's really nice, and i kinda want to make out with him, but i just felt weird at the moment about it.
he's coming back over tonight, and i can't decide what i should do. should i make out with him tonight? i mean i know it would only be a harmless hookup but i'm just not sure.
