ok, next year i will be in 7th grade and i am gonna do athletics. im kinda short for my age and dont have much muscle or anything. im not overweight, but im not exactly "strong and athletic". im afraid that next year i will make the bad teams and be one of the worst atheletes there. im not a ver good runner and im afraid were gonna have to do alot of that! i just dont wanna look stupid in front of all my other friends who are tall and long-legged and will be able to run a mile in 5 minutes, wen im bak there truggin along. does any1 no an easy way 2 get in shape without havin 2 like do hours and hours of strenuous excersise?? plz answer! :)

I am also going into 7th grade. I am tall and 'long-legged' and I will probably not ever be able to run a mile in 5 minutes. In fact the fastest runner in my grade is 4 feet 10 inches. I don't know what type of athletics you are thinking of but to get in shape it really depends on what you want to improve. For your arms you could probably just get some 3-5 pound weights and lift those or do push ups against a wall or on the ground. You don't have to do hours and hours but a good 20 minutes everyday should be enough. For legs you can do the jump rope. If you do find that athletics aren't your thing you can always try dance, it keeps you in shape and it is fun. Hope I helped!

I don't think your parents are being very strict. He is 5 years older than you and probably much more experianced and such. He probably wants more sexually from you than you are willing to give. I think sometimes our parents are right...it would be wise to listen to them. Hope I helped!

im so confused. i like this kid alot and everytime we go to a party together we hang around eachother and if i sit by him he will pull me on his lap and things that that...flirting wit me and i flirt back. then his friend asked him if he liked me and he said no. maybe he was embarressed? but then later he asked me for my number and he called me twice and we talked for about 2 hours each time. we flirt and everything and weve become friends. shud i say nething to him about it? or just let it be? cuz i wanna be more then just friends...and i htink he does too. The same thing happened with me and this guy. I liked him while he had a girlfriend. I didn't want to be the one to split them up so I let nature takes it's course and we ended up together. I would have caused him a lot more pain if I had been the one to break them up and I didn't want that so I just waited. Some of my friends told him I liked him and he was already half broken up with his gf. Basically if you really like this guy doesn't cause him pain by breaking them up and then taking advantage of him at a weak point. Best way to respect that he has a gf is just to be one of his great friends and be there for him when things get rough. Hope I helped!

I have a boyfriend who I love sooo very much!! I wouldnt do anything to hurt him! I have a few good guy friends who I ONLY talk to on the internet because my bf doesnt like me hanging out with them. Well, one of my friends asked me to go to a party with him tonight or we could go to the mall another night. I'm not sure I should because I think my boyfriend would be mad! What should I do? Your boyfriend should be able to trust you and accept that you have friends that are guys. If he can't trust you to hang out with your friends then your relationship isn't going to go to far. Plus, if something were to happen and you too split up it will be your friends who are there with a shoulder perfect for crying on. If I were you I'd go out with your guy friends and if my boyfriend was upset I'd just explain we were friends and nothing more. Hope I was of some help!

Ok I have an advise column on here. I try my best to answer questions and i think i do pretty well from my ratings. Like you I am also in a battle with my parents for a cell phone. My agreements to them are if the bill ever has extra charges on them I will pay, it gives me a sense of security, and it lets them know where I am. Everytime I see an oppurtunity of which I could have used a cell phone I tell my dad and I casualy say, "It woul dhave been nice if I had a cell phone" hope it works for you!

Yeah I know where you are coming from. It may be because he was around his friends. There is a guy in my grade who I kinda like and he is really nice, when he isn't around his friends. Personally, if a guy can't be nice 24/7, even when he is around his friends, i don't find them worth the time.
It sounds like you are pretty young so right now guys are probably not tuned into the dating scene yet as girls are. Don't feel left out just because you haven't had a first kiss or a boyfriend. At such a young age they really don't know how to treat a girl that isn't their sister or mom.
If your heart is set on this one guy I would just give it awhile, but it not I would just let h im go. Really I don't think guys are smart and mature enough at such a young age for realationships. Hope I helped!
