im secretly in love with my bestfriend [thats a guy] yeah i know this is starting off like every other question, but my situation is different. my bestfriend ellen is going out with my best guy friend, alec. and i like alec. ellen told me that she wants to break up with alec, evene though she still likes him, she thinks he likes my other friend randi, now let me tell you about randi, shes a poser, shes annoying, and thinks alec's her bestfriend, but alec absolutly HATES her, so idk why ellen thinks he likes her. even if randi trys to flirt with him 24/7. well i told ellen the pros and cons to breaking up with him. is it bad that i kinda want them to break up? even though i dont really want them to, because all i want is for ellen to be happy, but she isnt happy right now she feals the relationship is going downhill. even though if they break up, i know alec probly wont like me, he will still like ellen or his ex chelsea. what should i tell ellen about alec? is it wrong that i kinda want them to break up, even though i dont want them to? how can i get him to notice me, if they break up, and not think of me as 'the bestfriend'? alec's guy bestfriend told randi that he liked me, like 3 months ago. but he asked ellen out. idk i feal bad that i want them to break up though, even if i want my friends to all be happy, help? :]] (link)

okay, well your story is very confusing, and difficult from your point of view so i can understand why you would need advice for this.. but anyways,
my advice to you is not to but in with alec and ellens problems because even if you dont notice this, because you like him, you will somehow persuade her to break-up with him, and when that happens and ellen finds out you like alec (which will happen.. it always does)then she will get mad because she will know that you wanted them to break-up.
and, about alec likeing you like 3 months ago, leave it alone, it was 3 months ago. and he is going out with your best friend.
just when ellen asks you if you think alec likes randi say no, and let her know that randi likes him but he doesnt have the same feelings, and thats all.
i know this is gonna sound a little mean, but you cant be selfish in this situation, no matter how much you want to be. and no matter how much you like alec. try to put your feelings aside, and let their problems work themselves out.
And, If, by chance, they do end up breaking-up then wait a little while and talk to ellen about it and tell her that you like alec, and see how she feels about the situation (of you likeing him) and if shes okay with it, then you can start talking to alec about it. But, be subtle (if) when this happens, you dont wanna seem to clingy or desperate to alec.

well you could always just show him you love him by doing something that he likes to do.. that you know of so that he knows that you pay attention.. and to show you care, and you could always go out to a nice dinner, just the two of you.

My best friend has been acting really weird. And today I asked her if she likes me or not and she says no because I was talking **** about her. And I never said ANYTHING about her! okay, well im pretty much going throught the same thing except my friend told me who told her and what i said.. but i still didnt say it about her. i told her that i wasnt lying adn i swore on everything i loved and she still didnt beleive me.. it sucks when you lose your best friends over stupid stuff.. beleive me.. just look to your other closer friends for help, get their opinions on what to do and try them out. and if you can just try to get her to talk to you so that you can try to sort out the problem so it can be over with,., well i hope i helped =/

i dont think that it will damage your relationship three things are possible to happen. she will either tell you that she likes you too and you will get together or you could still stay friends only (just because of her situation with her baby), She will be flattered and just want to stay friends, Or she could just feel different then you and she could say that she only wants to stay friends and if this is to happen things might be awkward for a little while but they will go back to the way they are right now.

I met this gurl in Sept. in a welfare office. I was shy and my sister gave me the entrance to talk to her. Well, she is pregnant and due in late November. The father has nothing to do with the pregnancy and she doesn't want him around. I first started to help her, like buy her stuff for the babyshower and give her money and help pay bills, just as friends I said. We flirt often and i develop feelings for her. i just don't know should I tell her I like her or wait till she gives birth. she gives me clues by calling me and chatting, ask me to buy dinner and even asked me to be there during delivery. Hi, that is a touchy situation that your in. I have a son and let me tell you when I was pregnant my hormones were all over the place but they were much worse after I gave birth I dont think waiting is a good idea she is going to have alot more going on after the baby is born and may feel over whelmed. Tell her how you feel now. But also tell her that you realize she has alot on her plate and if she's not ready to change the pace of your relation ship right now you understand and that you would rather be friends than nothing at all. I would tell her that you sometimes think of her more than friends and ask her if she would ever consider the 2 of you as more.

well, bulimia is really not good at all for your body, it can make you loose weight but is that really the way you wanna do it??? but the effects in the long run is that it can kill you.. and you really dont want that.. it can also get you very sick and you could end up in the hospital for a LONG time.. beleive me my friend was in that position.. so please dont hurt yourself by becoming bulimic if thats what you are thinkin..i hope i help=]

most of the time peopel would come out saying that girls are sluts if they do have sex on the first date, and i do admit that i would probably be one of those peopel but if you think about it, its your decision what you do and when you decide to do it, so dont worry about it and only worry about yourself and your decisions, if you think that it is a bad decision then dont do it, but if you do, then that is up to you.. i hope i helped =]

okay, well for one; your friend is not a backstabber, you and your ex borke up.. hence the EX part... but yea i can understand why that would bother you. But, if you think about it, if she is your best friend then you should be happy for her, that he and her are happy with each other. SO, pretty much the only reason that this would bother you enough to wanna do somethin about it.. that means you still have feelings for him, even if you don t wanna beleive it.
But, if you feel this strongly about them bein together then you should take your friend to the side one day and tell her how you feel and that you feel like shes backstabbing you by dating him.. she shouldnt take it as that bad of news.. but then again she might depending on how she feels about the situation.so be verrry subtle about the situation.. like no yelling or anything, she might get mad =[.

hey, im in almost the exact same situation my BEST FRiEND (no names) goes to a campground every summer... almost ALL summer and i feel the same way, but if you think about it you shouldnt even say anything you should just let it go because it is probably better that she gets a break from her friends shes with all the time because then it will most likely help by you 2 not getting into fights or drama etc. because usually when people hang out with each other all the time they tend to get into more fights then when they dont.. so think of it as a positive thing..
on the other hand, if you feel this strongly about it, bring it up in a conversation ( say if she brings them up ) throw it in casually and just tell her how you feel, if shes truly your friend she wont get mad =]

it could not be her fault, i mean it is obviously her reaction but maybe she could either be going through something or maybe somethings just wrong with her and she just cant change or do anything about it.. ask her if you want to but you might be better off not, depending on the situation... get into a conversation and if she seems to be in a good mood then ask her whats been going on with her or if she needs to talk about something with you and then tell her that youve noticed shes been angry lately and you just wanted to make sure she was okay, she will respond better to that than bi-polar

I have this guy friend named Alex. We flirt a lot, so I've gotten to really like him, because he's funny and charming and all that. We're the same religion and age and our parents know each other and stuff like that so there really wouldn't be any problem with us getting together. The problem is he flirts with everything that moves, so I don't know if he really likes me or if I'm just something that moves.
