is there a way that i can get all of the songs on my ipod onto my itunes library on my computer? some of my friends have given them to me.. you know. and i want some on my computer. does it mean that i sync them? ugh, i don't know. help?!?!

please don't respond unless you are positive, i don't need my ipod messing up or me losing the songs. (link)
On my iTunes, if you click on "File" at the top, there is a button you can click that says "Transfer Purchases from iPod".

I have never clicked on it, though. I am pretty sure that if you hook up your iPod to the computer and click on that button, the songs on the iPod will transfer to the iTunes library.

If you don't see that button under "File", then the iTunes that you have isn't the most recent version. Go to apple.com and download the newest version of iTunes.

I really want to know because everyone else has already lost it and I'm 14 and I havent! (link)
I'm 17 and haven't lost mine yet. I'm kinda proud, actually. :)

well, i will be taking chemistry. I heard it was a very hard class, and i would like to know what to be prepared for. What basic things should i all ready know when going into the class, and what should i memorize (the periodic table???) Is there a lot of math work, and how hard would u rate it 1-10?
also, i'm taking physcology next year. If anyone's ever taken it, could you tell me what you do in the class? (I know what it is, i just want to know about the class) please, and thank you. =D (link)
Chemistry can be a little confusing. It took me a while to understand the basic concepts of it, but then again, I was in an honors class and our classes are only 4 months long.

You do not need to memorize the periodic table. The teacher tells you the first week what elements and compounds to memorize.

Not much math is involved. If you know how to add and multiply, I think you'll be fine.

Half the time, you're doing labs, and most chemistry teachers give good grades for labs. If you don't really understand the concepts, but you do the labs as best as you can, you will end up with at least a B, in my opinion.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the hardest, I would rate it an 8 or 9. I still got a high B, though.

Don't worry about chemistry. It is a lot of fun.

As for psycology, my friends who have taken it say that it is really fun. You do lots of projects and groupwork to learn about other people.

If I wanted to own my own business, such as a tanning salon (or something along those lines), I know I would go to school to major in business. But what would I minor in? If there's not anything specific, what would be a good idea FOR ME to minor in? (link)
You should minor in something like Health, Physical Education, or Nutrition. If you plan on owning a tanning salon, it would really help if you knew some stuff about staying in shape and staying healthy, since a tanning salon's purpose is to look good. Maybe even a minor in fashion design would be beneficial.

Well, the subject just about says it! How old do you think a person should be before becoming a nanny? (link)
I would say at least 20. I lived with a nanny who was in her late teens, though. It depends on where you live and if you have any qualifications (CPR certification, high school diploma, etc.).

My whole life I've been told and thought I'm stupid. Because I'm not school-book smart. I don't get good grades in the "smart subjects" like science, math and so on. I am so sick of believing this. I'm a different type of smart. I know I can make something of myself.

I am especially good at 3 things; public speaking & reaching out to people, languages (I know 4 different languages and intend on learning several more) and I sympathize, more than anything. People always turn to me because of that, I long to help. More than anything.

I've researched at least a hundred different professions in my attempt to find a major that will equip me with the right tools to help save the innocent from the corrupt and ultimatley change the world. I need a profession that will make me come alive. I have a picture of myself speaking infront of thousands of people, touching their hearts, or working at a homless shelter, somehow helping those who have been used, or anything of that kind. But in BIG levels, it wouldn't mean anything to me as a doctor or anything like that. It's not the kind of thing that would make me come alive, it wouldn't matter to me. I don't want to help one person at a time, I want to help thousands.. at once. I want to do something that would end homelessness and stimulate world peace!

I am compassionate and am able to provide stability in people's lives when they are shaken up. I am 16 years old, female, and more than anything.. I want to do something with my life.

No one believes in me, because I am not suited for the typical "good jobs" I will never have the grades to become a Lawyer, Doctor, Journalist or any of the sort.

Help me, what can I become? And how do I get there?

Thank you so much! And please, don't read this and think "what a dreamer, everyone thinks they'll save the world.. this one doesn't even have good enough grades.. she doesn't even know how to spell" Please, I have enough people thinking that way, if you can't help me, fine. But I'm begging you, don't think like that. (link)
At age 16, most people do not know for certain what they want to do for a career, and it looks like you aren't quite sure, either. That's totally fine. I think you should focus on closer issues first, though.

For example, before considering a career, you should think about your educational plans after high school. You said you aren't very smart, and let me tell you, I know how you feel. I doubt you are interested in joining the military, and for the goals you have in mind, attending college will most likely be necessary.

Believe it or not, even people who aren't smart make it through college. My brothers didn't take one advanced class in high school. They had probably a B or C average, but they both graduated and are fulfilling their dreams. I think you should start at a community college first. It would be much less expensive than a university, and classes at community colleges are usually less intense and rigorous than classes at 4-year schools. After you adjust to the college environment, you can transfer to a university.

After you decide if and where you want to go to college, you should look into majors. Some majors that I think you would enjoy are Political Science, Psycology, Sociology, Communications (you said you like public speaking), and a foreign language. You could possibly major in Political Science and minor in Communications, for example. Or you could get 2 degrees with different majors. It's completely up to you.

You certainly have more options for college majors than the ones I listed. I just jotted down some that I think you would accel in.

As for a career? Your decision will come with time. As you study in college, you can talk to your guidance counselor and ask about a job that would be right for you. School counselors usually have job placement tests that you can take to help determine what jobs you would like.

Good luck!

I start the class part of drivers ed tomorrow. I am homeschooled, and will be going with public school kids. Basically the kids I would be going to school with. I went with them until 2 years ago, I still keep in touch with everybody, but all the ones that I know have already taken it or won't be taking it the week I will. I'm super nervous. I know I won't know anybody, and I'm super shy and self-concious.

How many kids are usually in those classes?
What do they do on the first day?
What will it be like?

Thanks. (link)
There are usually 15-30 kids in a Driver's Ed class.

In my class, the teacher highlighted the main points of the textbook and showed us videos. We took tests on some days, and some projects were assigned.

To be honest, Driver's Ed is a joke. Believe me when I say that it is very boring, and many kids will try to sleep during class. The class is not very hard, but do the work that is assigned. If you have projects, do them in advance. They only take 10-20 minutes and the teacher basically gives you a 100% if you did the project.

The tests, on the other hand, are more difficult than I thought they would be. I studied for about 2 hours the night before each test. I passed Driver's Ed with a B (not that your grade matters. It only matters if you pass).

Don't worry about the other kids. A lot of them are lonely like you are. Not much talking and socializing goes on during Driver's Ed anyways, so don't worry about feeling lonely and awkward.

Hey. I know you guys hate these questions, I'm so sorry.

So, me and my boyfriend had sex Friday without a condom. Well, he pulled out, and it was a few seconds when he cummed. Well, I'm really worried I may be pregnant. What are the chances? (link)
If you were in contact with a penis or sperm, you could be pregnant.

ryan.servegame.com is gone now :[ i need a new proxy for school (link)
The creator of ryan.servegame.com made another proxy very similar to the first proxy. The website is below:

theryan.servegame.com

Do NOT add "www" before the website. Scroll down to "New Proxy Redirector" and you should be fine.

I have a video Ipod , and it only stays charged for abour a hour, if that. Im wondering what is wrong and if it is just my ipod or everyones? if this is a problem how do i fix it. i hook my ipod to the back of my computer through a usb cord. thanxxxxx

x kaylaaa (link)
It depends. How long do you leave the iPod to charge? Do you mainly listen to music, or do you watch music videos, TV shows, and movies a lot?

If you watch music videos, TV shows, or movies on your iPod, the iPod will lose its charge more quickly. You should also charge your iPod for a minimum of 6 hours.

If you only listen to music, I think you should go have someone check it out at Best Buy or at apple.com. My iPod video stays charged for hours if I just listen to music.

I recommend buying an iPod USB Adapter from a place like Target or Wal-Mart. USB Adapters allow you to charge your iPod through a plug instead of the computer, which is very convenient. They're about $30.

I need your help deciding what the ideal menu for a public dinner would be.

Not knowing what would be the best dishes to serve is making this an impossible task.

If you will tell me your favorite foods, or point me to your favorite recipes, it would really help a lot.

You can list as many things as you like. They don't have to be fancy things at all. I am all about the comfort food baby! :)

This will be a mixed group of people so I would like to have something for everyone.

Cooking for a banquet is not as hard as trying to figure out WHAT to cook!

Everyone will receive feedback.

Thank you!

P.S. If all that was a lot to digest, pun intended, here is a summary: Please list all your favorite foods. (link)
Anything pasta. This includes:

Linguini
Fettuccini
Angel Hair
Spaghetti
Penne
Macaroni
Shells
Ravioli
Tortelini

Don't think that tomato sauce is the only sauce you can use. Alfredo sauce works wonderfully with anything mentioned above.

Also, salad goes great with Italian pasta, especially Caesar and Italian.

14/f Hi, im a 145 pounds and i have big flabby thighs and i need exercises made for them expecailly the front and back of thighs. I also need exercises that lift my butt. How do you get a flat stomach and not a flab somach? Cuz i need exercises that work my lower abs. And my flabby arms could use help to. Please help me! (link)
Basically, you've told us that you have "flabby" thighs, arms, and stomach. The only way to get rid of this fat is diet and exercise. You can do a million crunches a night, you're still not going to lose weight.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to tone or lose weight in only one area of your body, so stop trying the ab workouts and the thigh workouts: nothing is going to happen. Start doing cardio workouts, like jogging and walking long distances. Also, start a low-calorie diet.

No one can lose weight fast. It takes hard work and discipline to lose weight, but those who DO lose weight are the people who can control what they eat and how much they exercise.

i really wanta boyfriend. all my guy friends are like taken. how do i get one? (link)
With that attitude, you'll never have a boyfriend. You can't decide "I want a boyfriend" and go out and find one.

Relationships just come to you. You meet someone and something sparks between you two, you start to like each other, and one of you gets the courage to ask the question.

Please, stop thinking that you want a boyfriend. If you're meant to meet someone and start dating him, then it will happen. Unfortunately, you have no control over other guys [shocker], so just move on and one day you'll meet someone who is interested in you.

are there any songs about struggling with an eating disorder and not feeling pretty and feeling alone? (link)
There is a song called "Lemon" by Katy Rose. The lyrics have to do with bulimia. I actually like the song a lot. The album is called "Because I Can".

The singer says "hurting here is where I belong" multiple times throughout the song, so she obviously is going through some struggles. There are two parts of the song that discuss starvation and bulimia. Here they are:

"I can't throw up don't think I even want to try"

and

"Starving hurts the soul when you're hungry for some love"

I don't know if I liked it or hated it, it was a mix, what do you people feel about smoking? How about alcohol?

I don't think much about it but, i dunno.

thx

kp:| (link)
Getting involved in drugs and alcohol is very foolish. Your chances of having lung cancer, liver failure, and other illnesses is greatly increased, and once you start drinking/smoking, it becomes an addiction.

Alcohol and drugs don't come very cheap, either.

So basically, if you start to drink and smoke frequently, you will probably suffer from financial-related and health-related problems in the future. Also, most people don't find drugs to be attractive.

Does anyone know if American River College is considered a good college? (link)
No one can tell you which colleges are good and which aren't. Different colleges are for different people with different goals.

American River College is a 2-year community college. If you decide to go there, you have two options once you finish: to be done with school or to transfer to a university.

It really all depends on what you want to do with your life. If you are interested in getting an Associate's Degree, then American River College is a good choice for you. If college is a financial issue with you and your family, then it's a good place to start (and maybe finish). However, if you have the money and/or the grades to go to a 4-year college and you have goals that require at least Bachelor's Degree, then you should consider 4-year universities in your area.

I hope that I helped.

I need help on getting a proxy that isn't blocked to get on myspace at school, or anywhere that it is blocked. the only thing is, is that im always searching proxy lists but those sites are blocked too. it seems like everything is blocked at school, and i shouldn't complain but it seems unreasonable, ridiculous, and unneccesary. (sorry for spelling errors.) How do i create my own Proxy Site or whatever that my school won't know and wont block? (link)
Go to ryan.servegame.com. Then scroll down to "*New Proxy Redirector(Encripted)".

Then all you do is type in www.myspace.com in the text area.

i was just wondering..which year of highschool was the hardest for you? like in working AND in relationships with everyone and everything. im going to be a sophomore next year and i wanted to take some extra courses but im not sure. thankss. (link)
The hardest year for me was junior year. The classes were definitely the hardest during that year.

However, the hardest year in terms of relationships was freshman year because I didn't really have any friends or know anyone.
