Q: Okay this is directed to Republicans/those who support President Bush (Don't take this as my attempt to bash anybody or any political group, I'm merely curious...also dont take this as me generalizing, I'm not saying EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN believes all these)

1. Do you honestly, truly believe that in the short term the Iraq War's main purpose is to liberate Iraquis, or to preserve a stable oil supply from the Middle East?

2. How can you say that it is completely and utterly unethical to allow a woman to have control over her body and have an abortion, while at the same time supporting that the state does away with prisoners with the Death Penalty?

3. Do you think homosexuals were born inferior to heterosexuals and do not deserve the same rights as them simply because of whom they choose to love?

4. Why do you believe that responding to terrorism by reducing the freedom of Americans is anything other than giving the terrorists exactly what they want?

5. Why are antiwar protesters deemed unpatriotic, but pro-war people praised?

Again, my goal is not to offend anybody. I just want honest opinions.

1. I believe that it was for both things.

2. When you are put to death from the death penalty, you have murdered somebody. Taken someone elses life. Taxes are paying to keep the prisoner alive. Why keep alive someone who murdered people? With abortion, you are killing a fetus who has done nothing. Thusforth...you are the murderer. I'm not sure I understand the question. If you had the sex...then, really, the baby was your fault. Even with birth control, you always know there is a chance. I dont know if that even answers your question...I'm not quite sure I understood it *sheepish grin* lol

3. No...I dont think you are born gay. Alright, think of it this way: A brother and sister are in love. Shouldnt they be allowed to marry? A daughter loves her father? Them? A man is in love with a gorilla. Shouldnt they? Marriage is a union between two people of the same sex...its sacred...and if we let gays marry, shouldnt we let two examples above marry also. I have nothing against the homosexuals whatsoever! It really is none of my business what their preference is.

4. After 9/11 the Americans wanted to feel safe. We are simply giving them what they want and trying to keep everything safe.

5. Antiwar protestors are unpatriotic because they are being extremely rude about the war. Protesting the war is fine, but sometimes they go so rude as to blatantly say awful things about Bush and our country and stuff. My question is if they hate it so much why dont they just move from the country! Lol.

Those were very good questions. I dont know if my answers were that great, but I hope it answers it a bit at least. Hmm.

Q: Our homecoming is coming up and i have my eyes on someone that i want to ask me. but one of my best guy friends likes me and keeps hinting that he is going to ask me, but i don't want to go with him cause i see us as just friends. What should i do?

Ask the other guy asap so that way when your guy friend asks you, you can just be like "I've already got a date!" And if he says no, then just be like "Sure, if I dont get another guy of course we can go as friends!" if you wouldnt mind going as friends or "No, I dont want to go with any friends." Then maybe suggest another girl you think he should ask.

Q: OK i have a friend. She is really nice and we met when we were really little. We used to be like the best of best friends. I moved to a schoo, in a diff city for 3 years and she stayed here. Now we moved back and we are still friends. We go to the same school, we in the same grade and we get along. So on somedays we couldn't be closer and everything is great, but the next day she is ignoring me like I hurt her feelings or something. She sits beside me in this one class and she'll turn away and talk to naother one of our friends and won't say a WORD to me. Then I'll ask her what's wrong and she will be like nothing. And continue with what she was doing. Today was one of those days.

It sounds like you're friend got mean over the time period of three weeks. I say make some new friends and then she'll come crawling back to you and you'll be like "pssh, you iddnt want to talk to me in class the other day but now you do" but then be nice to her because its never nice to be mean!

Q: my ears stick out soooooooo far i feel like dumbo.. what am i supposed to do .. should i staple them back? my dad just got a new nail gun , i think that woould work. suggestins PUH LEASE!!!

Staple back your ears! Aha lol...no, I'd say try styling your hair different so it covers your ears up more.

Q: my boyfriend broke up with me because i didn't want to go any farther with him. now he seems to regret it and wants to get back together. should i give him another chance?

Yeah sure. If he has finally understood and respects your decision about not going farther, and has seemed to learn his lesson, then I say he has grown up a bit. But if he pressures you to do anything, then he's just using you again and break up with him ASAP!

Q: ok it seems like my mom favors my brother way more than me. So one day I stayed home from school because I was sick. Then my mom told me since I stayed home, I was grounded for the weekend. But then today, my little brother was supposedly throwing up this morning and didnt go to his soccer parade and games but about an hour later he was outside running around and on his dirtbike and playing basketball and everything. Then he got to have his friend sleep over. Am I over reacting or am I right about her possibly favoring him more?

I think that since you are older she expects you to take care of himself when your little brother is still young and needs his mother more than you do. Although I think the grounding thing was a little abnormal, and if you really want to ask your mom about it you should be like "why was I grounded for the weekend?" not smart about it but being serious. Maybe you'll get an answer from her, or maybe she'll just get mad.

But remember, she probably used to treat you the same way she is treating your brother when you were younger.

Q: Okay I really need help with this. In 7th grade, I always felt so alive. Then when I was in 8th grade, I still did but my energy/ fun and being active,hyper,outgoing started to decrease but it was still there. Now I'm in 9th and I just don't feel like I used too. I want to go back to my old self but everytime I try I just feel out of place. I want to feel more confident like I used too. I just don't know what to do and it is hard to explain. But I want to know if anyone has been in this situation and how they changed or if anyone has any advice? Thanks!

Hi! I have been in the same situation as you. When I was in 7th grade life was great. I was confident, hyper, and always thought everybody thought I was hot and had a crush on me. Then when I got to 9th grade...my self esteem crashed, I got quiet and shy, and I thought everybody thought I was ugly and hated me.
Can you believe I went for a whole year with that mentality!?

Now I am in 10th grade. Although my self-esteem is low, It has gotten better. I've started looking myself in the mirror and listing off good qualities. I also have begun writing down my feelings whenever I am upset. I am still quiet and shy, but I talk more than I did last year, and I've been trying to make more friends. I've been putting forth effort. And now I've realized that I'm not ugly and people do like me!

For me, it was my self-esteem that killed who I used to be. That could be the case for you, but you also may just have grown up. My advice may not be the greatest because I have not exactly solved my problem. If it is your self-esteem, I suggest what I said above that helped me, or talking to your guidence counselor.

Q: Ok well my best friend is really pretty and everyone loves to be around her. Alot of guys like her, its not even funny.
Well i would say i think im pretty but compared to her i dont feel pretty. It seems like everyone wants to be around her and not me.

I used to feel exactly the same as you did! These are some things that helped me lessen how I felt:
1.) Just remember, her life isnt perfect. You don't know what goes on in her mind...she could hate herself or something. You may be better off then her in the end.
2.) Look yourself in the mirror every day and tell yourself what you like about her better about yourself compared to her.
3.) Hang out with some other friends sometimes. That way you can feel like the "pretty" one once in awhile.
4.) Realize that its not just looks that matter. You could be cooler than her in other aspects that some guys might find attractive!

Q: i'm 13/f. well me and my boyfriend have been going out since July and my birthday is at the end of October. he said he was going to get me a CD and i'm not at all greedy so i told him not to get me that and just get me like a 99cent card or something. because i would love a CD but i want something more memorable like even if he got me a 25 cent ring from a vending machine because it would be cute and sweet. I suppose that isnt my problem though besides the fact that I feel heartless for wanting something more romantic for my birthday. figuring we cant drive we cant go far either. but i'd like to do something special with him and ik usually its the guys job 2 figure something out but w/e i mean he's not going to even tho he's the sweetest guy ever.. we're going to hang out but we do that anyways so something a little more interesting might be nice i just dont know what to do *sighs* any suggestions on wut to do??

Well, maybe just hint at it in your conversations that you want something more special. He's a guy and guys dont typically think of the most romantic things all the time! So, if you just hint a bit maybe he'll end up getting it. Happy soon birthday!

Q: okay, I am 21 and still a virgin. I have done other stuff just not had sex yet. The thing is I was almost raped by one of my ex boyfriends and I am kind of scared of guys now, not all but some of them. I feel really pathetice because I am still a virgin and I am 21. Plus my uncle has aids and that is another reason why I am scared. I don't have a bf right now but am looking for one. Well...I for one am proud of you for keeping your virginity for so long. It's such a precious thing these days...you should be proud of it not embaressed. If you are scared, then maybe you arent ready. See, if you do get a boyfriend, then you will feel "ready" to have sex with him when you just feel comfortable. So when you do get the boyfriend, you'll know the time is right. Also, if you trust him when you have sex, then you wont be so scared. Dont worry about it...when you find the right guy, it will happen naturally! So dont do anything until you feel ready!

Q: i straighten my hair and by the time i get to school its kinda poofy and thick.. my question is what can i do so it will stay longer.. put a little gel or moouse in ?

Yeah. The way I do my hair is put gel in it, brush it through (when its wet) blowdry, straigthen, then brush it again when I get to school. Of course if you have thicker hair that may not work bc I have really thin hair so...thats my advice!

Q: Hey everyone! I want to host a New Year's party, but I need serious help. It should obviously be a sleepover, but should I make it coed and have the guys just leave at midnight and then the girls would sleep over? What could we do? I don't want it to be boring, and I have a huge backyard. I am a girl, and I want the party to be of about 40 people. I would want 25 girls and 15 guys, because I know more girls. Can you help me?

Have the guys spend the night too...unless your parents would allow. Anyways, have them stay till one if you do. Cause some time to celebrate the new year! Play spin the bottle and truth or dare and stuff. Play music. Get some fireworks to shoot off at midnight. Play strip poker! Lol...okay it would probably be cold. Oy, tough one. Guys with shaggy hair...mmm yumm...BUT some guys just dont look right with it...and some guys let it go to crazy and then it just looks gross. So if you're hair grows out and looks good shaggy, then yumm but if you grow it out and your hair just dont flow like that...then EGAD!
