hello to all of you who need advice (or perhaps would just like to say hi).

(that's where you say "hi collin!" but you don't have to because it might scare the people around you)

i'm a musician. i play bass, violin, mandolin, keyboards, guitars, drums, harmonica, xylophone, and just about everything else. i also sing lead for my band, the dirty fries, in st. louis, missouri.


my advice may be blunt sometimes, but you all will have to deal with it. i speak the truth, and the truth isn't always pretty.


i'll answer anything, too. as long as it's not something really idiotic like "OMG what color shirt should i wear tonight?!" because i don't answer that kind of crap. i'm a strong believer in there being no stupid questions, but honestly, those are not the sort of questions that should be posted on this website. plain and simple.

get a macbook or macbook pro.


they come with mac OS X built in, which means you already have itunes, imovie, garageband, iphoto, ichat, and just about everything else you need.

and with the new intel core duo hard drives, they are some of the fastest computers out there.

if it breaks, you have a year warranty that comes standard, but you can get an extended five year warranty for about fifty bucks more.

the only thing wrong is that they can get a bit pricey. the regular macbook starts at $1099, and the macbook pro starts out at $1999.

plus you get a free ipod nano.

not to be mean or anything, but if you're trying to download photoshop for free: that's illegal. that program is very expensive (i know this; i own it). get a rip off like graphic converter or something. much cheaper. you can even get a free trial that doesn't run out of time.

I have a very strange question to ask..but please bear with me.

Let's say a guy has a girlfriend that's really ugly. And I know I'm prettier than her. When he shares her pictures and puts her pictures up and is so proud of them...does he realize that she's ugly? or is he so glad that he has a girlfriend that he doesn't care WHAT she looks like, as long as she "belongs" to him. And in this case, he thinks she's the most beautiful girl in the world?

Because it's getting annoying. This guy makes fun of my pictures, when I know I'm SO much prettier. But when he puts up her ugly pictures, he praises them. What am I supposed to say? It annoys me that he makes fun of me, when his girlfriend is disgustingly ugly.

I know it's shallow. =/

all i'm going to say is that it sounds like your jealous. sounds to me like you want to be with this guy, and you think because you're prettier than his girlfriend that he should like you more and want to go out with you.

lemme tell ya, that is NOT how the world works.

it's not shallow to think that, really. it would be shallow of him to dump his "ugly" girlfriend for you. what it is is vanity. you think that because you're pretty, you deserve all the best things and should get what you want. well that's bull shit. you get what you deserve (unless you come from money and can get whatever you want).

maybe this "disgustingly ugly" girl has quite a great personality. to me, that's much better than a vain pretty girl. really.

stop acting like you have to get everything you want because you're pretty. it's not right, and you can't go living your life like that.

well there's a few that are important:

stand up straight
don't be really quiet (but don't be really loud and obnoxious)
look them in the eyes


but don't change your personality to get guys to like you. just be yourself. if they don't like it, screw them.

im so scared i might be pregnant. i had sex with this guy on may 18th. he didn't come in me, he had a condom on, but then he took it off, n he came in my underwear, which i put on like right after. that day was a friday. on saturday night, like at 11 or 12 at night i felt kinda nauseas. i dunno why. then i felt nauseas monday morning till like wednesday morning, but it might have been because we were disecting pigs in first period every morning. after that, i didn't get nauseas or anything anymore. i got my period regularly three times. i just finished my third time. i noticed it was kinda light. it ended maybe a day or two sooner than usual. last night in the shower, i noticed my stomach got a LOT bigger. not like super huge, but i'm a skinny girl, &it got bigger. could i be pregnant ?

if you've had your period, then you can't be pregnant.

it's simple biology. if you're pregnant, you don't go through your menstrual cycle.

well i must say that it's not pathetic that you haven't had a real boyfriend. hell, i didn't get my first girlfriend until i was fourteen and in high school, and that's the same thing for most of my friends. there's the occasional one that had something by 13, but not usually. and not to sound mean here or anything, but most relationships that happen at your age don't last, or don't really mean much.

you say you flirt a lot. so what? flirting doesn't really do much; sometimes it makes you look like a fool, and at 13 can get awkward. just be yourself. you don't have to act different to get guys to like you. sure it's cheesy advice, but it's true.

might i add that nothing is worthless. some things just can't happen. have you tried talking to this person you like? if you haven't, why not? it's worth a try.

depends on who you're talking to.

if you're talking to a girlfriend/boyfriend, i don't think there is ever a "too much." there are restrictions though, depending on plans and stuff.

if it's just friends, it can get to be too much. don't spend hours on end on the phone. don't send a hundred texts. (this all depends on your plan really).

if you need to, just ask your 'rents about it. they'll tell you how much they think is too much, and if they're paying for your phone, it's their decision anyway.

our son just turned 16 and was sneaking around with a girl that was 18 at the time and is now 19
he was told that he was not to see her anymore our we was going to press charges well now we got papers in the mail saying that i had to take him to get dna testing she had a baby this is in ohio wondering what we can do we know that its both there faults but my son is a straight a student in school has 2 more years and we heard bad things about this girl after the fact and the sneaking around.

well first off this obviously isn't a parent. if it were they wouldn't be as worried about the GPA and would be more worried about their son.

take the DNA test. you may be the father, may not. if she's been sleeping around, then there's the possibility that you're not. but i don't know if she has, so don't take my word for it.

don't press charges either. you made a stupid decision and your life is permanently screwed up because of it. you've got a kid now, and so you have to take care of it. end of story. it's your own fault.

future advice: you don't want a kid? don't have sex.

you should file an abuse report, because that's a really stupid reason. he even said that he would've given you higher. it's not right when people pull stuff like that. i never capitalize, and i give great answers. ratings are important, and if they rate based on that, then they don't take it seriously enough.

any advice on how not to be shy when talking to your boyfriend about sex.please ill rate.

just put it this way:

if you're too nervous to talk to him about it, then you're not ready for it. my girlfriend and i didn't do anything even remotely sexual until we talked about it, and that took quite some time (a few months, to be exact)

if you two really are ready for sex and such, then it shouldn't be a problem.


another thing is, if you're not comfortable talking about it with him, you shouldn't be doing anything sexual with him.

well you can't actually do that straight from an ipod to a computer. there is a program somewhere on the internet that you can put on your ipod, and i know you can get that program at places like best buy, but ipods don't let you do that usually. i'm not really sure why apple does that, but they do.

syncing your ipod to your computer is updating it- that updates it from your computer with any new music on your computer to your ipod.

Recently, I found out that my boyfriend of 6 months is getting kinda bored with what we do. The farthest we've gone is making out and that's the farthest we will go. And then all he talks about with his friends is how he almost spent the night with some hot chick. I don't want to break up, but it upsets me that I'm getting old or something. well if he doesn't like you anymore because you won't go farther than making out, then he's not a good guy.

why don't you guys talk to each other? that's always a good idea, and a lot of times good conversations happen.

i don't really know what else to tell you. i wouldn't break up just yet. i doubt he's "bored" with you, i just think he wants to go farther after six months of just making out. maybe let him get to second base, or do some dry humping.
