Tomorrow, i have a Persuasive essay to turn in, which I will later have to read to my English class.
My topic is on book-banning, and i've typed up my essay, and it's all set.
My problem is, is that my last reason for why book-banning from schools and libraries isn't right, is because books are sometimes banned because of homosexual characters.
At first, i felt strongly about stating my opinion through an essay on my opinion on homosexuallity (I'm for gay marriage), but now, I'm having second doubts. Can someone please tell me how they think this will go over in my class, and is it appropriate? (This is Advanced 8th grade Eglish by the way) (link)

A lot of people at school thinks my life is perfect. it is far from it. i wont get into too much detail and make this too long but i have a few good friends that i love but there are so many morons that get mad because i get good grades or whatever. i just wanted to know does this go away in high school? or will people still asume my life is great because i get good grades?

people start to respect you when you get good grades in highschool, they may still think that your life is perfect, but why do you care what they think of your life? does that affect you even alittle? not really. just keep up good work in class and im sure in the end youll be happy

you dont need more then 1 or 2 good friends, i used to have a ton and i never had somebody that i could honestly say i actuall LIKED because you cant get to know alot of people very well. Also when you got alot of friends, like half of them will spread rumors about you and the other half will believe them and not talk to you. People suck. Friends suck.

School is to get a good education and go to college. Its there for your brain not your heart. and if your in highschool, then it's really hard to make up classes and tests or grades, i think you should go to school and when you see that guy dont say anything to him, just smile.

1st of i'm 16 and i'm in 10th grade and a girl...and i have some pretty awesome best girl friends...well i make-out with a few of them...i don't mind it i actually have fun doing...but i wouldn't call my self bi...i read this thing online and it says that we experment to find out what we like...well i love makeing-out with both sexes! but i've never done more with a girl...i have and talked about eating girls out with my other best friend and we have talked about doing to each other...but i could never see my self with a girl...because i just love boys...but what i am getting at is it wrong to want to do this stuff with girls...it's mainly with my best friend...it's just a experment..is it wrong to experment with her? she has ate a girl out before..i mean i'm not scared to do it and i don't feel un-comfortable caouse she is my best frined...my point...does any of this seem wrong?

horrrible. dont do it, one person ALWAYS gets attached and if its you then it really sucks. serious relations are by far sooo much better and it ends up alot better, also if you dont know the person that well it could end up alot worse.. stay with somebody that you like and your sure likes you back!

ok theres this boy i really like and i have a feeling he likes me to but he also seems as shy as me even though he seems to hide it bettr than me. But to the point. if your at a movie, look over at him acouple of times and if you see him look back at you then deffently go for it! then after that scoot closer to him and put your hand either in his or up near his leg. then turn towards him and kiss him, if he kisses you back then start makeing out! hehe good luck and have fun!

my grandmother and altzemiers(sp?) and 2 brain anerisms(sp?). she lives in an apartment attached to my house. its been ok but seeing the changes in her are getting really hard. she isnt far along w/ the altzemiers, so she still remembers who i am but she still could NEVER live alone bc of everything she does. but recently shes had MAJOR headaches and there probably from the anerisms. but my mom chose not for her to have surgery bc she would go through all that pain juts to come back and not remmeber. shes in so much pain and i cant do anything. i feel so helpless. just a little 14 year old girl who ppl just stare at sympathetically when they find out, but give no helps. does any one have any advice..im a little on the helpless side. wow that just happened to my grandma too, she had the exact same thing but she had another desiese that made her loose her balence. thats really tough to deal with, VISIT HER EVERY DAY. take advantage of the time you still have with her when her altimers gets worse she might be able to remeber who you are, its also really hard because when it gets worse shes going to start talking about her mom and her dad and ask you about where her friends for like elementary school are and my grandma started hulusinating. just be strong and remeber her at her best and dont forget that she still needs you no matter how hard it is emotionaly on you --- good luck and if you want to know anything else that my grandma went through and how the stages go then just ask because id be more then glad to help! stay strong!

DAMN! that sucks im so sorry! your friend is deffently a bastard. If i was in your situation, I wouldnt let it get to me. be stronger then their "love" you know that its not going to last so if their around holding hands or if they kiss then just make it clear to them BOTH that your completely fine with it, eventhough you arnt. Yest it is lieing but both of then will be disappointed that your not upset with them being together. EVERY SINGLE PERSON on this earth wants people to miss them and to be jelous, so yes they will be upset that your over it. hope things get better.

I am 15 and I just cannot get any guys to notice me. Sure, I have plenty of guy friends, but I find it very difficult for guys to look at me as more then a friend. I'm not exactly skinny, but I guess i wouldn't callk myself extremely huge. I am just overweight. I work really hard to lose weight and it usually works, but I always get so depressed when I see all my friends who weigh like 115 pounds and how they always get the guys to notice them. How can i get guys to notice me and really see the real me, not just what is on the outside? How can I make them see the real me? it depends on what kind of relationship you want with a guy. If you just want guys to notice you and the hook up and those kinds of things then do crunches, every night do 100 on each side. it REALLY helps with lovehandles and bellies. Run and go on walks for better legs. Also, wear black shirts and shirts with stripes, those are slimming, lowcut shirts are good too, if you have big boobs. If you want a guy for a real relationship then just be the weight you WANT to be. if you really want somebody who loves you, then you dont want them to fall in love with a person your not. If you have a good personality and your not fake and your not dumb then im sure you could get a guy you want! good luck hope it all turns out alright!

If shes flirting with you, if she touches you alot, if she smiles at you like shes going to laugh, if shes stares in your eyes for awhile. alot of girls wont make the first move so if you have the feeling that she wants to kiss then go in for it! im sure youd be able to tell if she wanted to kiss you :o) good luck!
