Hi, this is Kate. I'm 17. My life motto is 'Live Laugh Love', I really think those are great words to live by and I'm planning to have it made into a tattoo. I'm not religious but I love learning about different religions. I write stories based on things that have happened to me because sometimes I have days where I just think 'wow that sounds like something out of a book'. I've finished 3 stories and I'm about to start my first horror story..very exciting. I believe in fairy tale love...the kissing in the rain, staring at the stars on the rooftop kind of love..Why? Because I'm in that kind of love and its been the greatest time of my life. And it didn't come easy.
I'd love to help you with whatever issues come your way. I've been in relationships where the guy was too old for me, the guy was my best friend, the guy just wanted to get some. I've been the other woman but I'm not proud of it. I've been the girl who waits years to be with the guy she wanted.
I come from the type of home where everyone seems okay and then when everyone leaves its chaos. My parents should have been divorced years ago and I can't stand to be around either of them so for now I'm going day by day, only coming home to sleep and counting down the days until I go to college in August.

Ok, so I have this friend, we'll call him Nick. I've liked Nick for five years (yes, 5 years) and I think I'm really starting to like him beyond the high school standards...like I might actually be falling in love. But see, the problem is, he's my best friend. I mean, he's my ABSOLUTE BEST friend. We talk 24/7 and share everything with eachother. The other problem is, he has a girlfriend (we'll call her Meredith), who he likes more than anything in the world, and who also happens to be one of my best girl friends. Yeah, I know, big problem. The other other problem is, his girlfriend doesn't like him nearly as much. I mean, he puts sooooooo much effort into their relationship, and she sits around and does absolutely nothing, doesn't try at all. That's making him frustrated, and is causing him to like someone else, who also happens to be a best girl friend (we'll call her Annie). My luck stinks, but anyway...he says the only reason he likes Annie is because she's exactly like Meredith, only more serious when it comes to relationships. She's everything he wants Meredith to be. Annie has a boyfriend, who just happnes to be one of Nick's best guy friends...now that I type this out, I realize it's like a giant web of confusion, lol. So anyway, I have no earthly idea what to do. I know I can't tell Nick how I feel, it would freak him out...but then again, I don't think I can handle him g/o with yet ANOTHER best friend. Everytime he talks about Meredith or Annie, it drives a knife deeper and deeper into my heart. Eventually, I won't be able to handle it anymore, and that day is approching faster than it should be. great colors. my room is purple and blue with a lime green beadspread. okay. purple on one wall blue on another, and lime green on the third wall then on the fourth do alternating vertical stripes.

What is your opinion on religion? I've heard about the theory of evolution and it makes a lot of sense.
And right now the theory of god and heaven doesn't seem real. There's no proof.

religion doesn't make much sense to me in any way. i respect everyone's religion and try to learn some of them but i always come out of it saying "how can they believe that?!" so i kinda make up my own religion. it's a combination of a lot of religions. i am no religion but what i truly hate is that when you declare that you don't believe in God you are an athiest but that is a religion in itself. I AM NO RELIGION. and people just don't seem to get that. evolution makes total sense to me and i'm not sure why it shouldn't be tought in schools. when i was little(3 yrs old) my mom told me the story of Adam and Eve and how eve was created from Adam's rib or something like that and thats how all humans began to walk the earth. that made no sense at all. how did adam get there and if God created adam then where did God come from? it's an endless cycle of questions that can't really be answered. i've tried praying but it just seems like i'm talking to myself. my point in this long paragraph that i'm sorry you had to read is that although there is no proof people are alowed to believe what they want. after all, children believe there are monsters under their beds even though their parents have proven it that there are none.

my older sister just had a baby. and me and my mom have been taking care of him. and now that i've had experense with babys. i think im old enough to take care of him my self. but everytime i ask my sister she says im not old enough. i feel she dos'nt trust me. i feel she dos'nt think im responsble. i mean she babysat infits when she was my age. how do i convince my sister that im old enough and responsble enough to do this

sometime when your sister is around then show her that you are responsible by changing the baby's diaper or feeding it or something like that. just don't try to be too obvios about it. how old are you anyway. i think if you're older then 13 then you should be able to babysit an infant but just think of how your sister feels. she's probably really protective about this child that she had to carry around for 9months.

did you delete it from your recycling bin. if you did then try to remember the exact name of it and google it to try to find a site that will let you download it. if it's still in your recycling bin then i think if you right click on it then you can restore the program.

HI im 13 and i want a horse badly. I read alot about them and i take lessons. my sister has a friend that Has a horse. tory(the friend) has a really big barn and says that we could board there if we ever get a horse. my mom says that torys not ready to take care of another horse (i think she is. and my mom also says that money is an isue. i told her that I would give her all of my money and i would stop taking lessons. she would buy it. help!

a horse is really a huge responsibility and i don't think that you should let your friend board the horse. you could start off with a miniature pony and keep in in a large shed and make a little pasture for it. it would still cost a lot of money but not as much as a horse. that's how my friend started out and now she has two horses.

I live in an apartment with my mom. We want to get a cat and the landlady said we can if it doesn't have any claws. We aren't sure if thats ok to do to a cat. I no one other person who has a cat like this and the cat seems happy. What do you think? (link)

it's okay. they just can't go outside because if they get lost they have no way to defend themselves but when you have their claws removed they leave the back ones in so the cat could fight a little bit. your cat will still "scratch" things but it won't leave marks

this year im taking two high school courses (algebra 1 and intergrated pyhics and chemistry) along with advance placement classes. but my problem is that the teachers have loaded us with homework each night and its only the fourth day of school. i have stayed up until 11:00 every night doing homework and i get off of school at 2:25.
can someone give me some tips on how to finish my homework faster...so i can get some sleep.
BTW: im 13/f and i rate high enless its a smartass answer...

i had the same problem(i'm going into 9th) except i started my homework at like 5pm. if you have study halls then use them. i had algebra too. in my school they just wanted to test how good you are so they gave us a lot of home work but then it slowed down after a couple of weeks. i hope it's the same for you. i hate wasting my free time on school. good luck in high school.

Okay, for the past..6 years my sister and I have been trying to get a dog. But all my mom says is no. I don't think my dad would mind just as long as it didnt shed. She Court [[my sister]] and I have found numerous types of dogs that are SO cute AND don't shed. All my mom says is I'll consider it. It's on all of our Christmas/Birthday lists but nothing happens. try pet sitting for a neighbor that you know very well. it'll show responsibility and that you really care. find a specific breed that you like a lot and do a lot of research on it. maybe you can buy a dog collar and hang it on you wall, maybe your mom will see how much you truly want one. just figure out the real reason she doesn't want a dog. maybe she had a bad experience with dogs growing up.

set up lawn chairs somewhere in the middle of nowhere on the side of the road.
-dress up in clothes from the 1890's and go to the mall.
-go to every store in a mall where they sell underwhere and buy a thong.(if you're girls)
-set up a booth on your lawn that says free hugs. if people come up to you then give them a teddy bear(unless they're hot)
-at walmart find a hairbrush and ask someone how to use it. any random object would work.
-ooh just thought of a new one...get a box of tampons and ask some really innocent looking guy to demonstrate how you use them. HaHaHa
-at walmart get a cart and somebody's cat. put the cat in one of those baby carriers and talk to it in a baby voice. see how many people you can get to look in the carrier.
-get some headphones and go to a coffee shop or something where they have a big window where people usually eat and look out the window and just do some weird dance. : )

Okay! Im 13 and have the oddest fear. I go to bed at like 1 30 AM and than ill go to the bathroom at like 2 and ill go to the bathroom and than go to leave but ill be too scared. So ill end up sleeping in the bathtub!! Its cuz im afraid someones in the house but no one ever is. Is there a way to get over the fear? (link)

i have the same problem except i don't sleep in the bathtub.there's this really creepy hitch-hiker who walks around my house. my house has a light in the hallway. if you have a dog then wake him up before you go to the bathroom. also maybe you could go to bed before your parents. it always helps me because even though i know that no one will come into my house with a growling German Shepard right behind the front door i always have a good feeling when my parents are awake to protect me.

I recently bought sims 2 university & i already have the regular sims 2. anyways, my question is - when i go to play sometimes the heads of the people (like not while they are walking or the actual person) but at the bottom of the screen will be this grayish blurr. And if they are in college and i go to put them in a room, their picture comes up as that grey blur. I dont know what to do. This just started happening because of the university & it only happens when i play a college. please help :) (link)

how old is your computer. most older computers like windows 95 or 98 can't handle the Sims 2 programs because of their high graphic content. try uninstalling University and reinstalling it.

school starts september 7th so i definitely need to dye my hair, get my nails done, get a haircut, etc. lately, i've heard of people asking to get their hair 'thinned' when getting a haircut. i've seen the the results and the hair looks different. like the texture. so my question is: what is hair thinning? how do they do it? what does it do to your hair?.. do you think it looks good?

at my hairdresser they use a thing that looks like scissors but it has like an alternating blade thing. like it has spots where there isn't any blade. it's really weird looking when they do it to your hair because it looks like they're chopping your hair.
