My boyfriend and I are having a huge BEACH themed birthday party for three of our best friends, who are all turning 26. Ok, here's the deal...
You CAN get a false positive on an at home pregnancy test. I know this for a fact. It is very rare, but it is possible. And you CAN bleed during pregnancy leading you to beleive it's your period.
Trust me on this one. I bled the first 5 months of my pregnancy. I assumed it was my period so I thought nothing of it. Then I ended up in the hospital because I blacked out and fainted. I had no clue I was pregnant! So there I was, in the hospital...finding out I was 5 MONTHS PREGNANT! He's 8 years old now and the best thing that's ever happened to me...but talk about a shocker!
If you lost a baby, you would know it. If these are the signs you are having...positive test and still getting your period...I would strongly suggest getting checked out.

Just because your cherry hasn't popped, that does not mean you are a virgin. Sorry honey, but not everyone has that cherry popping experience. My little 12 year old sis needs deodorant but she doesn't want to ask our parents to buy her some, she want to buy it herself. BUT she is embarrased cause she thinks handing deodorant to the employee at the drug store to buy when she's 12, the guy will think it's odd. I told her to don't worry and no one will care but she doesn't believe me at all, and I don't even think I believe myself. I don't want my sis to get embarrased or mad if they do think's its odd or give her a little giggle. I know they arent going to say anything but they might think it. So, please tell me, do you think the employees will do anything or thinks its odd if my 12 year old sis buys deodorant by herself? To make her feel more comfortable, tell her to go to the line where a girl is working. Or to buy the deodorant along with other things, like a magazine or a couple little things. That way the attention isn't focused on just the deodorant.
It is not odd AT ALL...nobody will even think twice about it.

I went to Fashion Bug a couple days ago and got a $74 bathing suit for $22 and it was really hott!
They have lots of cute stuff in there.
Target has cute ones too, I agree.

It's really sad that society is the way it is today. When the models and icons are so super skinny, grossly skinny...and that makes perfectly normal and beautiful girls like you feel fat. You are normal, they are not.
If you really feel you need to lose weight, do what you feel is comfortable. Don't do a crash diet just be healthy.

Have you tried an antipersperant instead of a deodorant? There is a difference.
Try the certain dri.
If that doesn't work, you could see a dermatologist and have your sweat glands removed. It's pretty painless and quick and if it's a major issue your insurance will probably pay for it. My mother in law had it done, says it's one of the best things she ever did.

Do a yahoo or google search for Wilms Tumor. You will find everything you need there. My husband had one of these as a baby and had to have his kidney removed along with lots of chemotherapy and radiation. That was 26 years ago, he is alive and well and cancer free now!

My husband owns a carpet cleaning business.......
All of those "wonder chemicals" are crap. All they do is mask the odor. The dog pee is still there in your carpet.
The only way to truly get it out is to use a hot water extraction.
Call a professional carpet cleaner who uses a truck mounted hot water extraction. It's not as expensive as you think. My husband charges $35 per room.
To save money, you could rent a Rug Doctor to do this, but DO NOT USE ANY SOAP in the Rug Doctor. Only use water. The soap will not completely rinse out of your carpet no matter how hard you try because the Rug Doctor is just not strong enough. If there is still soap in there it will attract more dirt and cause it to stick there and your carpets will look terrible in a few weeks.

My 6 year old daughter recently started saying she wants to meet her real dad (he hasn't seen her since she was two years old except for a brief chance meeting at a friends house a two years ago.) I'm not sure what brought this on, except that I just had another baby with a different man, and he and I share custody, so maybe she's feeling a little jealous that her baby brother's dad is around but hers isn't. I'm no longer involved with my son's father, but we are civil for our child's sake so it isn't like he could be a father to her. But I need to know- do I call my daughter's father and make him have a relationship with his daughter? I don't know what to do, or what to say to her. (link)

What I would do is contact her father yourself. Test the water and see if he would be open to a relationship with his daughter. Don't be forceful about it. If he is interested in it, then take it slow. Only allow limited visits and don't let your daughter get too close until her father has earned her (and your) trust. Then you can take the relationship from there. If he is reluctant, or not interested at all then leave it alone. Don't push it at all, that way you would be setting your daughter up for heartbreak.
I say that because I was raised without my father until I was about 7. Then my father came back in my life and after I got attached, he disappeared. I lived a lot of my life feeling abandoned by him, and it really affected my life.
I am an adult now, 28 with an 8 year old son. About 3 years ago I let my father back in...reluctantly. I made him earn the relationship and kept a safe distance. That way, if he did hurt me again it wouldn't be so bad. It's been 3 years and we are just starting to earn trust and I am letting him in a little more everyday. Things have been great so far, and he hasn't disappointed me or my son.
So it could work...people can change and sometimes they do deserve second chances.
She does deserve her father, but at the same time if he is just going to hurt her then it's better to leave him out of the picture. Always be honest with her and when she is old enough, she will make her own conclusions.

My best friend is an every sunday, church and really religious parents, and i took her to a party and she met a guy. She has only told me her secret, but she has already missed two periods! The first thing you need to do is get an early pregnancy test. If you need help with that, you can go to a clinic like Planned Parenthood if they have that where you live. It's free, confidential and they will help her.
If she is pregnant, she definitely needs to go to her parents asap. I wouldn't go to the parents unless she is sure she is pregnant first.
Her parents may freak out at first, but they will get over it. If they are religious they won't make her get an abortion and probably won't make her give up the baby. Even if they try to force her to give up the baby, I beleive that (in certain states) she has the right to choose even if she is a minor.
If she is NOT pregnant, first you need to thank your lucky stars...then go to that clinic I mentioned earlier and get some birth control! Planned Parenthood gives free and confidential birth control!
I was a young mommy (my son is 8 now) and everything turned out fine for me. It's possible!

i'm 15/f, and opinions are very much apprectiated on this even though it's long. here's the sitch:
i'm going into the 10th grade in a month. my mom lives in one town, and my dad in another, about 10 minutes apart.
so i live with my mom now, but i'm thinking of maybe moving to my dad's house, but i need your help in making the decision. all of my friends are near my mom's house, that go to the high school in her town, but if i were to move with my dad, he would take me to see them and let me have them over and everything that i would normally do with them--but i don't know anyone that would go to the high school in my dad's town. my mom is supposed to give me allowance for the chores i do, but she never does, and i can't get a job yet, so i have no money. if i were to move with my dad, i have 4 cousins that live near him that i could babysit and make some money and then later get a job, and he also said that he would give me allowance. i sometimes get along with my mom, but she puts her boyfriend before me and is always asking me to do stuff for her and she's always on my case. i get along with my dad most of the time, and his girlfriend is like a mom to me. my room at my mom's house is small and cramped, i have no closet doors, a broken fan, no bed frame and my mom says she can't make renovations bc she doesnt have the money, but she spends her money(including the child support money from my dad) on my little sister(has a diff. dad), tanning, and diet everything. i'm so frustrated, and i'm so nervous about making this decision and i've no clue what to do. so a huge thank you goes out to anyone who answers this.

I would try things out with Dad. Maybe it could be arranged for you to not have to switch schools. And if it isn't, you'll have no problem getting in with another school in 10th grade. Think of it as a fresh start! If things don't work out and you want to stay with Mom, since she isn't giving you an allowance maybe you could work something out with your dad- like do chores and odd jobs for him while you're visiting him- and maybe he could give you allowance that way. Look around for neighborhood kids...maybe you can babysit for them. Or put a small ad in the paper, you'll be sure to get babysitting that way if you decide to stay with Mom. Good luck!

Here is a super easy dessert...
"Dump" cake
1 box of white cake mix
1 stick of butter
1 can of cherry pie filling
1 can of chunk pineapples
"Dump" the cherry pie filling and the pineapples into a 13x9 inch baking pan
Sprinkle the cake mix on top...don't prepare it, just use the dry mix
Cut up the butter in little squares and put it on top of the cake mix
Bake it for 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
It is really cheap and easy to make and sooooo good!
You can use other things besides cherries and pineapples, whatever you like.

ok so my little brother is 9 years old and he always wants me to play with him. he doesnt understand that im older and have things to do. whenever i try to explain this to him, he gets upset and thinks i dont want to play with him so i feel really guilty. how can i explain to him that im busy a lot and dont really have that much time to play with him?

awww, it's so sweet that he wants you to play with him! He loves you! Always remember that, ok? Anyway, try to find just a little time for him. Find something you can do together...like video games or a TV show or something like that. Even if it's only 15 minutes, that 15 minutes will mean the world to him. I know it's not fun to play yugioh and bionicles and stuff like that when you're 15...what about sitting down together and doing a project? Make something, like a birdhouse or a treasure box. Or paint, even play doh can be fun. I know you have your own life...but don't ever be too busy for family.

I was in this same situation and I told my boyfriend the truth. We fought but he forgave me and didn't break up with me. The problem you will be facing now is trust. He will not be wanting you to go out drinking unless he is there. But if you really wanna be with this guy that shouldn't be too much of an issue! Always be honest...and wouldn't you rather have it come from you than someone else? Good luck!

I dont know how to bring up the issue of birth control to my doctor. She knows my mom somehow and I think its weird for my moms friend to know i want to go on birth control. Doctor patient confidentiality!
Even though your doctor knows your mom, she cannot BY LAW tell your mom anything that is confidentially between you and your doctor.
Simple as that.
Doctor patient confidentiality is a serious thing. A doctor could lose their license to practice for breaking it.
I would be careful, though. Something like that could show up on the insurance bill, so stress those concerns to your doctor.
If that doesn't work for you, there is always planned parenthood. They offer free and confidential birth control.
