Q: Hey, I have a dilemma. I want to go into something musical after high school. Every girl's dream is to write songs and play/sing them and become famous, right? At least mine is. But it IS a tough way to earn a living, and Dad would rather see me become a pharmacist. (yuck!) i don't really know how to get out of the whole pharmacist thing but what about promising you're dad you'll major in musical theater and minor in something sensible. or if you can handle the workload you could double major

Tell them that you know that they have been talking behind your back, and if they have something to say, to show some guts and say it to your face. gossipers can really hurt people so the best thing to do is to confront them and just make them feel like a** holes, so that they know that your strong and think that it doesnt bother you.
Just be carefull not to return the gossip about them, because then things can get really messy..

Q: i have been with my boyfriend for almost a year but im starting to have major feelings for an ex boyfriend. i know its very bad of me but my boyfriend now just isnt making me happy anymore and i dont know what to do. my boyfriend lies to me about everything so im to the point i dont know whats real and whats a lie. hes lied about smoking (twice), going to a party, going to school, and to as stupid as how much he spends on something. i just dont understand. he tells me hell change but hes said that since day one and it continues. also on two occasions he didnt go to school once i found an earring and the other time i found an ankle bracelet. i asked whose it was and he told me he didnt know. i told him i thought he was cheating on me and he got all mad and said he wasnt. im just not happy anymore. i love him to death though. but my ex boyfriend and me have been talking the past 3 days and im not sure whats gonna happen but hes making me so happy. ive been smiling nonstop and hes making me feel whole i talked to him yesterday from 1:30 pm all the way til 5 am nonstop. on the internet and phone. i just dont know what to do. i dont want to hurt my boyfriend but in the same sense im not happy. but i dont wanna rush it with my ex boyfriend either. please help me

It sounds to me like it may be time to end it with your current boyfriend. If you have talked to him about the things that are brothering you, but yet he has still ignored it and continued to lie, you may never be able to trust him the way you used too, and your realtionship will never really be the same. I understand the fact that you care for your boyfriend, but really you need to care about yourself too, and if he is not making you happy, then honnestly you should not be with him anymore. If your ex-boyfriend is making you happy, i would keep talking to him, but make sure not to rush into anything again, not only to not hurt your current boyfriend, but also to make sure that you are compleatly over him, and you are not just going to get hurt because of the new realtionship.

Q: I have really BAD acid reflux, sometimes to the point where it's unbearable, and it hurts my throat so bad i can't even breathe. My question is how can I treat this? I've already tried just every OTC medication out there, including the popular "Tums" and "Rolaids" -- tried it all. I CAN'T go to a DOCTOR because my parents don't understand.
And some things to help you out:
*I rarely ever eat spicy foods - anything that triggers stomach acids to go up the digestive tract.
*It occurs anytime, anywhere, no matter how I stand, sit or lay. It worsens when I exercise.
*Even not eating at all triggers it, drinking lots of water or beverages that do not contain acids still trigger it.
So what should I do, and how can I treat this? And if you REALLY think I need a Doctor (which I'm sure I do), how can I persuade my parents into taking me?
But it would still be awesome to read advice on treatment at home and certain limitations or methods -- anything at all would be great.

i have been struggling with that same problem recently.. and at first my mom didnt believe me bacause she didnt think that people my age have it but i finnaly went to the doctor and heres something that i have been doing to help controll it..
1. eat yogurt every morning
2. exersize regularly
3. smaller meal porporsions
4. balanced diet.. NO junk food
5. prevacid (perscription) before dinner
and 6. pepcid complete before bed
you really should see a doctor about this soon, because you could grow nodes (like myself) which may become cancerous at a later date.

one time i did a thing called The 30-Hour famine at my church, and we all slept over there for a night. It was a lot of fun and it was for a great cause. You simply dont eat for 30 hours (you can have water or clear liquids) and people can sponcer you by hour or by the whole time togther. Look it up on google.. im pretty sure theres more information on it..

to be honnest you shouldnt have to give him an excuse at all.. if he really loves you (which im assuming is something you would want to wait for even if your religon allowed it) he will wait for you, and if he doesnt accept the fact that you are saving yourself, he may just have the wrong intentions anyways.

Q: Hey all. Well, I'm 14/f and I'm entering the 9th grade in August. I was thinking about playing volleyball in highschool, even though I don't have that much experience (playing in p.e. class), and they said that no experience is needed. I'm not sure if I should try-out because I don;t know if it would be best to be on the team in the 9th grade, or wait till next year, go to volleyball camp before the next season, and try-out in the 10th grade. I'm confused, and I don't know what to do. Could you guys help me. Also, what are they looking for, as of skills that'll get you on the team? Thanks.

I'd say go for it..try out as a freshman because its great for colleges to see that you stuck with something for 4 years [if you make it] and even if you dont you can still go to volleyball camp and try out next year, either way its best to at least give it a shot.

Your body and your head could be feeling compleatly different things, so even though you want to have sex, you may not be emotionaly ready. Make sure you know that you love your boyfriend and that he the type who will stick around. Its really up to you if you think your ready or not.

to start off I am relegious and i'm not gay. I believe that the bible does state that homosexuality is wrong, BUT it is not one of the 10 comandments. Many people go around pretching the bible, but for every ont thing that it states there is something elce that is compleat opposite. There are other parts of the bible that say "God Loves You" and that he will forgive you. Even though personally i belive there is nothing wrong with being gay, and if its your friends personal prefrence, let um do it. ultimatly its up to your friend and God

It can be if you go to far.
cutting back food is a one thing but stopping food alltogether is very bad.
try just cutting out the fatty foods, eat healthy and exersise, its much healther then becaoming balimic or anerexic.
