Q: Hi. 14/f

Sort of fair to medium skin color

I'm going to FL for spring break and have some questions about getting a great tan.

-- Does tanning oil work?
-- I heard that when you shave your legs, you shave off the tan ;; is that true?
-- If so what is an alternative that will keep your tan?
-- What is the best way to get an GREAT tan that will just wow people when you come back?
-- Where do you get those heart and star stickers for your stomach for when you tan?

I live in Florida! Tanning oil works, of course. You don't necessarily "shave off" or "shower off" the tan, but you kind of have to build up multiple tans to get it to stay. The best way to get a great tan is to just spend alot of time outside, in the water, or laying out. Mix a few drops of iodine in baby oil to get a really dark tan. The heart and star stickers are mainly found in tanning salons, but you can buy them if you're in a more touristy part of FL.

Q: ive had my period for almost 2 years now and i still cant use tampons. it just won't go in! what do i do?

I've had my period for 4 years and I still don't use them. Actually, i've never even attempted to use one, and i'm a perfectly normal girl. There's nothing wrong with pads, they're more natural, but i'm probably just being a hippie about it.

Try using a smaller sized tampon (OB brand are small for smaller/younger girls). Or ask your mom for help, not literally, just ask her to walk you through it verbally without watching you. If you aren't that close with your mom, don't bother with that.

Q: This is a REALLY wierd question but -- I can't stop thinking about it, lmfao.
In school, in a boys public bathroom, are the urinals out in the open? Or do they have walls to seperate them. Because couldn't boys make fun of other boys' penis' size?

They're out in the open, and nobody makes fun of each other's penis size because it's socially unacceptable to look down at another dude's penis. Don't you know bathroom/locker room etiquette!?

Q: i got caught with a drug and now all i want to do is put it all behind me. i never want to do it again but its hard because some of my friends still do it. i need distractions or something. how do i keep myself away from drugs?

I hate to say it, but try to avoid the friends that still use the drug, because being around them can really tempt you to do it.

Q: the skin on my armpit is darker than my normal skin color, so when i shave it theres still a dark spot there. how do i get rid of it so that my underarm skin is the same tone as the rest of my skin?

It's from shaving, and mainly everyone has it. Waxing or using hair removal cream helps.

Q: I need to find hobbies my boyfriend and I could do every week. Any ideas? :)

Q: i wanna tan in my backyard..but when its about 65 degrees and sunny, how long would i have to tan to get a kinda noticeable one?

It depends on the level of the UV rays. The ultraviolet rays can still be heavy in not-so-hot weather (meaning around 65-70). Check weather.com for the level of UV rays in your local area.

Sometimes you get the best tan when the temperature isn't killer high.

It's normal. When you grow into a more "womanly" figure your skin sometimes stretches too fast and causes the stretchmarks. It's better to get them on your breasts and thighs than on your stomach or hips or something, yuck. It just means your boobs are getting bigger and your thighs are becoming more curvy.

They'll fade eventually. People say to use cocoa butter but it doesn't really work. There are treatments a dermatologist can do, but honestly they'll fade.

Yeah, that IS pretty odd that he would tell you exactly how he plans to do it, but whatever makes him more comfortable.

As for you, don't like put your hands around his neck or anything, the people behind you in the movies will be pissed. Be discrete about it, put them on his legs or hold his hands and lean in or something.

And to give him the idea that you should start kissing, just nudge him or something. If you guys have already pre-planned this all out, he'll know what you mean.

There's nothing wrong with it. Unless you like make them talk to each other and stuff, that's pretty lame. But dressing them up and doing their hair and stuff is more of a fashion thing at your age.

Messy buns are annoying.

Straighten it, curl it, curl segments of it, straighten segments of it, crimp a few pieces, make a poof and clip it back, little braids, etc. Just don't wear a messy bun.

Not unless they require their comments to be approved. If that's the case, check your sent mail box and it should say if they approved the comment or not.
