clarayow answered Friday April 6 2007, 3:05 am: Definitely sun tan lotion. I use banana boat brand. Have u heard of tt?
Wear a Bikini(duh).
Don't ever wear sunglasses unless you want two white patches around your eyes.
Don't overtan yourself. Lie down and tan for say maybe half an hour; then get up and walk around, drink some water and cool off. Then go back down to tanning for the next half hour. Do it in intervals, dun lie there and bake yourself to death, you'd get a headache. I tend to get headaches if I bask too long in the sun. The best way to tan is actually to swim. You can also play volleyball or read books. Drink lots of water to keep hydrated. [ clarayow's advice column | Ask clarayow A Question ]
sevenmilliondown answered Friday April 6 2007, 12:39 am: My mom always talks about how when she was my age, sixteen, she always had an amazingly dark tan.
I asked her what she used, even though I don't tan.
She said she didn't fake-bake, that she went outside and rubbed herself down with baby oil that was mixed with iodine.
It probably isn't healthy.
But I've seen pictures.
She was dark.
Sincerly_Lisa answered Friday April 6 2007, 12:35 am: Dear Tanner,
You could always try a tanning loation or something since the sun isnt out as much... where I live it isnt anyways, ahahaha. But if you want a tan, use suntan lotion before you burn yourself to a crisp. You might want to be in a bathing suit when you tan too, how can you tan if you're fully clothed? It usually takes a while to tan, so while you're soaking in the sun, (with suntan lotion on) read a book, or listen to music. I hoped this helped, good luck and let me know how things go.
Sincerly,
