What should I do if I get bullied a lot by kids at school? I go to a catholic school, too and its still happening. Junior High can definitly be tough. I get picked on by 7th graders and kids my age. What should I do? My parents and I have tried and tried but nothing has worked! I've gotten nasty emails and instant messengers, and rude and harassing phone calls. can you help me?

I'm so sorry. I'm in junior high too, and I see people getting picked on everyday. It's absolutely horrible. I used to be picked on a lot, but not much anymore because I had a small group of friends that I stuck with and hung out with all the time. When people picked on me, I knew that my friends would never be that way to me. It was extrememly reassuring. If somebody IMs you, email you, or calls you, just laugh it out. Act like it's a joke. Then just be like "So... how's it going with you?" Just small talk to tick them off. It's a good way to make them relax, and be nicer to you. I'm sorry if that isn't much help, but keep pushing. Don't give up.

my cat constantly follows me and everytime i sit down she comes to sit on top of me.. i will get up andmove somewhere else but she still sits on me.. i push her away but 2 minutes later she comes up again.. i know its cute and everything but it just really annoys me sometimes.. does anyone elses cats do this.. how do you get them to stop

It's annoying at times isn't it? I have 5 cats and they do that all the time. When you sit down somewhere, make sure she can't get in your lap. Like put your knees up. When she follows you, pick her up, pet her, give her a little bit of food, and walk away. It may not work in the beginning, but keep working at it.

Alright, this is a stupid question, but today I purchased a D.A.R.E. shirt at Hot Topic. Under it, it reads "To Keep Kids Off Drugs." Does this have deeper meaning? Because on the standard D.A.R.E. shirts (like the official ones) they read "To Resist Drugs And Violence." I was wondering if "To Keep Kids Off Drugs" has any deeper meaning? I don't want to go to school with people laughing or something. Thanks. (link)

D.A.R.E is a program to teach kids about the consequences of drugs. (It stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education) It's all okay. It's a good program and nobody will laugh. In elementary school we did an entire D.A.R.E course. It's an awesome program. Wear the shirt, it's cool! Lol, see ya! :-)

Okay well i have a friend and she makes me do EVERYTHING 4 her well at lunch like she will be like here is 50 cents go buy me a cookie and i do it! i dont want to but i do anyways. and i through her trash away 4 her and she pays me a dime and i dont want to do that either i just feel like i can tsay no and when i do i feel like she will be mad at me but whp cares right i cant do stuff 4 her right? well i dont know what do to please help! It's almost impossible to shut up siblings! I have 2 little brothers, so I have the same problem. The best thing you can do is first, get a lock on your bedroom door. Second, ignore your little sister. Trust me , it'll annoy the crap out of her! Just pretend shes not even there and don't look at her. She'll eventually, be quiet. As for the diary, you should write something in it about her. Nothing really mean, just say stuff like "it really hurts me when I can't trust my little sister to respect my privacy, I respect her." you know just stuff to make her feel a little guilty. If that doesn't work, tape your diary to your ceiling, so she can't reach it! Lol! seriously, though, it will probably work!

I don't think starting a slam book is a good idea. What if someone picked it up that shouldn't see it? you and your friends could get in alot of trouble. Some kids started a slam book once in my school, the teacher found it. They got suspended for about a week. I'm sorry, please don't be mad at me, i'm just trying to help!

Okay heres the thing i like this guy A LOT and were close friends and the other night he told me that he likes me too..which made me happy but the thing is right now we cant date because 3 of his best friends ( theyre girls ) like him and it would hurt them and start A LOT of drama...but he told me " i need u right here now i need u right now more than ever" and he told me i make him happy but its real hard ...and i dont know if he wants me to wait until everything cools down with his friends or should i try moving on n puttin interest in someone else....because i mean we both like eachother and we have chemistry....so what should i do!? So, i've been thinking about but not really knowing if... I mean it's not that I want to commit suicide... I guess i'm just depressed and no I don't want to go on medication cause it's not like my brain is screwed up... it's just that I dunno I feel ugly I feel bad and whenever I tell anyone it doesn't seem to be relevant to them... and yes I know by posting this there will be people (stupid) saying that "YA U SHOULD U WORTHLESS PEICE OF ****" and I really don't care cause I probably should... I know that you guys probably don't care whether I live or not cause I mean it'll just mean one less mouth to feed and one more room to fill...
Basically the reason why I am depressed is that cause I'm gay and i've told people but not everyone... and I just want to have someone to be able to love me back and someone to be able to cuddle with on winter's cold... I know someone like you. They have this idea that nobody cares about them. I think it's just low self-esteem (i know, i sound like a phyc.) anyway, you need to just find one person that will be your best friend. Just someone to talk to and listen to. You don't have to personally know them either. Get a pen-pal! Trust me, everyone feels ugly and stuff like that, but try to look at the good instead of the bad. Please, don't do suicide. It's not worth it. Trust me. You would hurt a lot of people.

i've been told i have an AWESOME stance at the plate when im hitting, but when the ball comes and i go to swing, i rotate my body and slap at the ball, like i dont watch the ball hit the bat i guess bc i turn my self, when i do that, i step out, which is making me a super pull hitter to the left side which sucks bc the teams are gettin used to me and know where my sweet spots are . eerr . but i guess what im tryin to ask is does anyone have like any advice on how to correct it . my cousin tried to help me but hes a guy so hes different then a girl you know lol . idk i just need some advice on how to make my swing more even . i guess im rotating my body, stepping out, and reaching for the ball . ughh . i hate it bc im hittin like little grounders RIGHT to short or 3rd and its horrible bc at the beginig of this season i was hittin triples and doubles all over the out field and now ima pull hitter right to short . ugh . so any advice will be overly apprieciated . i know what u mean i used to that too. (im a girl and i play baseball) my coach put a bat right behind my feet so that if i stepped back, i would trip. (not very fun, but effective) i had to do that for about 4 practices and i eventually stopped moving around. and as for watching the ball, (this is a little weird, i know) but paint the ball a bright color that will get ure attention. lol! see ya.

Well heres the problem. My best friend of like forever, up and decides that smoking is more important than our friendship. it really hurts me to see her do it because i know the pain it caused her when her grandmother died of cancer just a few short years ago. She goes on about how she doesnt need a supervisor or someone telling her what to do, but i keep telling her that i only get on her back about it because i care. she doesnt seem to realize that im only trying to help. however, my help cant always be the answer. i am myself, an advice giver on this website, but sometimes you just need others' advice. if anyone has any advice, or anything at all i could say to my friend to help her, please let me know. im scared for her, and also for our friendship. please someone help me. Tell her that if she doesn't need a supervisor she needs to prove it. Also tell her that you still want to be her friend and you don't think she should put drugs before friendships. If she keeps it up she could wind up friendless with nobody to blame but her self.

don't worry about the way you look worry about the way you act. i used to always look in the mirror and think about how ugly i am. it really started to get me down so i covered up my mirror. that way i had no clue if i looked bad or not. it really did help because i created a good self image of me.;)
