My girlfriend is out of town for a week and usually we're together every day because were best friends as well. I am chilling out with other friends of course but what are some ways I know its going to be ok and that she is really still there? (link)
|
are you asking "how do i make sure my girlfriend won't cheat on me?" oh, well that's easy. bug her clothes, put a gps unit in her car, and hire a detective to videotape her every move; that way you know exactly what she's doing every minute of the day. but i'm geussing this isn't the answer you were looking for.
okay, pull out a pen and some paper. now list ten ways your girlfriend has shown you she's trustworthy, and ten reasons she's proved to be untrustworthy. fretting about nothing?
this week will be good for the both of you. even the most in-love couples need time apart from each other. in the end, it will strengthen your relationship.

I know or have heard that the vagina has the ability to self-cleanse. I'm just wondering how it does that (creates discharge) and figures out what bacteria, lining etc. to get rid of without being gross about it. I'm a male but think it's an interesting scientific query.
I 'm hoping there's an article on it you can point me too. I feel guilty giving advice about sexuality without knowing certain things about how these organs completely function. (link)

you might want to consider also going to your local library, and checking out the health section.

i'm not going to lie kid, good looks will catch a girl's attention. but you can be the greatest looking guy, and turn them completly off if you act like a jerk. the best way to get a girls attention, and keep it, is to simply be charming. smile, say hello, and strike up a conversation (make it an active converstation: talk and listen).
looks are a simple matter for guys. just dress yourself neatly, not sloppy. continue to shower, comb your hair, brush your teeth, etc. now, some girls DO like pretty boys; but personally, i have a problem with a guy who spends more time in the mirror than i do.
in short, be confident with yourself and be social. you're not going to get a girl sitting on the sidelines, watching all the other guys talk to her. remeber, be charming; after a barrage of sleazy guys coming after her, she'll want someone who's geniunely intrested in her.

So i absolutely HATEHATEHATE babies and anyone under the age of 10. they just really piss me off.
well my mom made me move in with her boyfriend who has 2 sons, one of which has a girlfriend who also lives with them. well she was pregnant. but they induced labor yesterday (gag) because she was a week overdue (big deal). and now its like everything revolves around that stupid thing, and its only been ONE DAY. my mom doesnt tell me i love you on the phone anymore she left me home alone all day today so she could go to the hospital and go see the repugnant thing, and i know that whenever my family comes over theyre not going to want to see me anymore its all gonna be about that monster.
so all im really asking is how do i make it through all this, and how do i not kill it, and deal with the crying, and all that shit. and most of all how do i get over my hate. because i seriously hate ALL kids.
(link)
|
whoa! regin it in a bit; i'm getting a major overdose of anger. you say you're not jealous, but i'm sensing that you are. why do you hate kids so much? your mother's boyfriend's son (whew!) just had a baby, and your mother is supporting the son and his girlfriend. why do you feel threatened by this? with a new baby in the house things are going to be hetic for awhle; everything will settle down eventually. your mother sill loves, you're her daughter, and that'll never change.
whether you like it or not, your mother is involved in a serious relationship. she wants to share her life with someone, and you should be supporting her. immerse yourself with your new family (and yes, they are pretty much family at this point). the only one who's leaving you out on the sidelines is yourself.
also, stop refering to the baby as it. the child was given a name by his/her parents; use it.

Okay, well Im 17 and going on the birth control pill but I don't know how to take it. Im going on Levlen ED pills and its a 21 day with 7 inactive. How do i take it? Is there a calender I could use with the coloured days of when to take and stop? Also, Im planning on going to my boyfriend's house in 13 days so is there any way i can delay my periods by then?? (link)
|
you really need to discuss this with your doctor. you can't skip your period with all pills. also, most pills come numbered, weekly sitckers, or some other method of keeping track of which pill to take.

ok. so my boobs are a B and a DD. they have been this way since i was in High school. Now i know this isnt normal. if i lose weight would that help make my one boob or down. or is there anything i can do. or is breast ogmination the only sorce to make them close to the same size? (link)
|
it's not unheard of for breasts to be two different sizes. losing weight probably isn't going to help much, as they will both get slightly smaller. you'd probably have to augment the smaller breast, or get a reduction on the bigger one, to make them the same size. see your doctor; they will be able to recommend the best course of action.

Since yesterday I have been getting these little red bumps all over my skin, ive had the chicken pox, but they dont look like that. I wasn't even outside all day, but they are showing up and they itch a lot, just wondering what they could be.
Thanks in advance,
Gina (link)
|
it could be shingles. i've had it before and the bumps were a little smaller and rougher than chicken pox, but they itched just as bad. if it doesn't start to clear up in a few days, schedule an appointment with your doctor.

Every time i put in my contacts, after a little while they get dirty and irritated. When i take them out to clean them, there are are brown specks of make up on them. Its also very hard to clean and often i have to use new ones. Help? I also wear eyeliner (link)
|
definitly make sure your cleaning your contacts as your doctor instructed. how old is your mascara? it gets flakier the older it is. if that's not the problem; i would switch it out for another brand. are you melting the tip of your eyeliner and then applying it? that would also explain the flakes. if so, switch your eyeliner out for a softer charcoal/crayon type eyeliner.

any advice to how to lose 20lbs by the end of july??? thanks!
oh i am about 164lbs, 5'5, female, usa (link)

sorry, but there are no quick fixes when it comes to loosing weight. why not make a commitment to become healthier? start a workout regime. i suggest 40 mins cardio and 30 mins muscle training to start. you should see a change in your body within two weeks. you'll probably start to loose inches before weight because of the added muscle (it actually weighs more than fat). but muscles also help you burn more calories, so it's good to have in the long run. (and it just looks steallar when you have tight calves and a hot...well you know.)
no need to nix carbs if your eating healthy ones (whole grains vs. bleached starches). watch out for sugary fruits (bananas and apples vs. strawberries and grapes). nix the use of butter and oils when you can (you don't need butter to make grilled cheese; just a dark, nonstick pan). swap whole milk for at least 2%, although 1% is ideal. limit the amount of sauces, dressings, and gravies you consume (olive oil and balsimic vinger tastes great on salads). don't eat at least an hour before going to bread. breakfast is a must; it kicks your metabalism into motion in the morning.
happy trainings.

I'm going to a festival next weekend, and recently I've started to get that nervous excited feeling.
What are somethings I could do to distract myself from that feeling? Ahhh :\
Btw I'm not scared about the festival itself, just excited..but this feeling is really distracting :P (link)
|
think of something else to look foward to in the meantime. is there a book you've been looking foward to reading? a movie you wanted to see? if you're still to excited, do small activites to prepare for the festival to take the edge off; it'll help you feel like you're already attending the event. grab some buddies and shopping for a new outfit to wear. get your hair done, nails, the works. (sorry, i just assumed you were a girl. but guys can get a new do too.) make sure that you're plenty rested and hydrated the night before, as well. have fun!!!

ok so my older sis is 15 years old. she is getting her lisence next month. yesterday my sis was doing the laundry when she put her clothes in she didn't realize that her permit was in the back pocket! so then when she was putting them in the dryer she just realized she left it in the back pocket of her jeans that she JUST WASHED!! so then she takes out the permit. there it was all weird feeling, and all wrinkly. (kinda like cotton) to get another permit u have to pay $35!! SO PLEASE help me and my sis make up a story that my parents will believe so they won't find out it got ruined cause she washed it!! (link)
|
i'm going to have to agree with younggrandma here. the truth is always the safe bet. if you can still read it, there's no need for her to get a new one. but if not, your sister should ask the folks at dmv if it's okay to laminate her new one. and she should probably keep this one in her wallet.

I got my lip pierced two months ago on my bottom lip. Lately, I've been noticing that the rings/studs that I wear scratch against my bottom teeth.
What can I wear on my bottom teeth all the time to protect them from scratches? (link)
|
after 2+ years of braces, i am firmly against all piercings that involve my mouth. but you, my brave friend, have real balls. literally, metal ones. okay, joking aside, i'd switch it out for one with rubber ends. might be a bit harder to find for a lip ring (sorry, i've only got belly and ears), so be prepared to scour.

I am really involved in my church .. im there every day working or volunteering and i have gotten so close with all the people there the past few years, i've become attached. im gonna be a senior in highschool so will be leaving for college in a year, and i'm scared i will be really really sad to leave them. when i can't be with them or talk to them i get really upset and i know that in college i won't be at my church a lot, probably only once a month. how can i not be so sad and need them so much? and im involved in so many things i can't just stop going, and i want to enjoy all the time i have left with them (link)
|
first off, make a commitment to keep in touch with your friends.
i'm assuming you'll be too far away to attened your church reguarly. so, my advice would be to find another church near your school to attened while you're not at home. ask your pastor, reverend, etc if he/she knows of any in the area. the best that can happen is you widen your circle of friends, and form a bond between two churches.
if you're afraid you'll be too busy to attend regulary. check around campus for religous groups to join. they can help keep your spirits (and spirituality) up.

|
you're twelve. you shouldn't be dating you should be playing xbox or playstation. whatever happened to innocence?!

Hey im 17/f and my boyfriend is 18/m. We have been dating off and on for about a year and a half. I do love him very much. We just argue all the time and fight about the most little things. Everytime we try to break up we end up getting back together. I do love him but im not sure if im in love with him. We've been through alot together i just dont want to end up married and me realizing that im not in love with him. How do i know if i still am??? Can somebody please tell me the signs i would have. Thanks soo much! (link)
|
signs? you stated the signs yourself: "we have been dating off and on for about a year and a half." normally, i'm all for giving things a second chance. but, come on! how many times have you guys acutally broken up? i think it's time to end the relationship for good.
you're only 17. that's still pretty young. maybe you should both see others for awhile...a long, long while. it's the best way to gain some perspective, even though i think you've had it along.
|
what do you do when you broke up with someone you really loved, and really loved you, and you miss them like crazy and would do anything to have them back and for things to be the same again, but you finally just had enough of the BS after chance after chance after chance, and you know it's for the best to not be with them, because the relationship has changed so much and all you do is fight about the same things over and over, but you [both] just want those good times back soo bad, you can't stand it. how do you deal ? (link)
|
couples counseling isn't just for the married. check with your reverend, pastor, etc if you go to church. they tend to make excellent mediators. but, you both have to be willing to work at the relationship. you need to find where the seperation started the first time before you have a chance the second time around. good luck.

okay so I have this best friend who is really clingy and obsessive. If I don't get to call or talk to her in like 3 days she freaks out. She calls basically 4 times a day and exspects me to always be waiting by the phone to answer it. Recently I haven't been able to talk to her and she claims I have changed, that I've been miserable and sad, and that I've been hiding from the world. I seriously have no idea what the heck that means.. and I even told this to her; yet she still doesn't make any sense. Another thing she does is freak out when she finds out I'm hanging out with other friends that she doesn't nessisarly like. It's like she wants to spend every second of the day with me and sometimes it just gets on my nerves. I mean I love the girl to death but I always feel like I'm being suffocated. Help! what should I do?
thanks,
Michellemonster (link)

be frank with her. let her know that her cligy attidude is a turnoff, and can prevent her from making and keeping new friends. set a limit to the number of times she can call within a certain period of time. then encourage her to join organizations, sports, etc to widen her circle of friends.

I am 17 years old. I was 16 when this happened, i went to Andover, Ohio with a friend to get her computer fixed. (an hour and half away) My father new, who i was with, where i was at, and had a number to get a hold me at. He called the cops on me because i didnt get home until late it took for ever to fix her computer. He told the cops he didnt know were i was he didnt have a number to reach me. ( it was in his cell phone and written on the board at my house.) basically claimed i was missing. when i returned home i got out of a car in my parking lot and walked to my door and a cop pulled up who had been sitting in the parking lot waiting. well now i have to go to court on monday. (link)
|
you didn't say how late you were out. but from what you wrote i would say this: your dad overacted and you should of called him to check in.
you're still a minor and you still live at home. that means you must still abide by your parent's rules. and if you have a forgetful dad (like mine), you're going to have to take the extra responsibility to keep him "in the know." it may suck, but that's part of growing up.

Okay so I have some questions about piercings.
I'm seriously contemplating a nose piercing, on my left nostril. I just want like a tiny rhinestone. The thing is, the place that I work at is supposed to be "family friendly" and there's a dress code about jewelry. Females can only have 1 earring in each ear and males can only have 1 earring total. No facial piercings.
My question is: if I were to get it pierced, is there some sort of clear thing I could pierce it with initially, because I know it has to be in there 24/7 while it's healing. Then when it's fully healed, I could just switch to the clear one while I'm working?
I know like for navels the clear ones are always flexible, but those are meant for if the piercing is already healed....can it be a flexible ring while it's still healing? Or are the clear ones for noses even flexible?
And, if it's clear is obviously not made of the surgical steel stuff they usually use for piercings...is that going to be unsafe for my new piercing?
I really want to get it pierced but I can't quit my job...so will this work? Or does it HAVE to be pierced with metal? (link)
|
it depends on how big the clear stud is. i haven't seen one for the nose, but this girl i worked with had one for her tongue (we have strick piercing rules too). it was really obvious her tounge was pierced. your best bet is to just bandaid it. i don't know how strict your job is, but most businesses will allow that.
|
So I was looking at this portfolio of a piercer in my area, because I'm looking for a place to get my nose pierced...
And like it's just pictures of different piercings that she's done...
And I came across this surface piercing one...and I'm sort of fascinated by it. I like how it looks and I think I might want to get it done.
http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll125/daisiekae/surfacepiercing.jpg
How painful does that look though? And it seems kinda dangerous being so close to the spinal nerves...
Have any of you had this done or know someone with it done?
My questions are:
1. Was it really painful? Like how much more did it hurt than a navel piercing? Also, I'll probably get my nose done first...so how much more did it hurt than your nose?
2. Do you know if it's dangerous at all being close to the spine like that?
3. If it is really painful...do you think that taking some strong pain relievers before hand will help with the initial piercing pain? And on that note, do you think that will help when I get my nose done too?
(link)
|
i've seen plenty of folks in italy with the back of their necks pierced. i would just make sure when you get it done, you go to someone with experience piercing the back of necks. with that being said, i've seen some pretty bad infections before too.
as for the nose: some people look good with it pierced, some people just look like they have a honker zit. the best people to ask, is the people who know you.
