i live in north carolina. and im kind of confused about age difference laws in relationships.
im just going to give a little background on what I think
my friend is 15 and dates an 18 year old guy...ever since they started dating her parents have not liked him. they told her not to see him, and secretly she still has. and they've caught them together atleast 3 times. and once they were even in the middle of having sex. the cops were called and everything. they couldn't arrest him because he wasn't four years older then her, and it wasn't rape because the age difference was only three years.
well i like a guy who is 18 and i'm just confused about age difference laws and stuff, doesn't it have to be 4 years to be like..against the law?

In most states, it's rape if an adult (age +18) has sex with a minor (age 17 and younger).

I still don't understand why, either! Well, now I think guys have no feelings because they act like total assholes whenever I meet one. Last year around the same time as now, I asked my dad for a macbook. A simple, white, around $1000 macbook. My dad said, "Wait until Christmas." I didn't get it for Christmas. I asked again and he said, "Wait until March or April." At the end of April, no Macbook. I asked and begged for it on my birthday. My dad said, "I promise, for your birthday, I will get you a macbook." I had so much hope and excitement in me. It was a perfect day. My last day of school was on my birthday, and it was perfect to think about coming home to a brand new macbook. Well the macbook didn't show up. No happy birthdays, just from my friends, and I was in my room crying the whole day. My dad came in and said, "I'm sorry, I promise you that you will get a mac before the school year starts." He apparently was getting a macbook pro, top of the line, for a low price from his friend who sold them on ebay. But it never came in. My dad got put on house arrest for extortion for 2-3 months. So I thought, he'd be home, why not try and convince him to get me a macbook off ebay. He kept saying no, PC's are better, mac's aren't worth it, which I had many more reasons against HIS argument. But no mac so far. He bought me a new battery that I needed for my current Toshiba laptop, which also sucks. He got me a webcam so I could at least have one feature of a mac, but turns out the webcam didn't work with AIM or AOL, and took horrible pictures. I told my dad I was done with Toshiba and Dell, and just in general done with PC's. He got mad at me and told me to stop it, and that my attitude was stupid and I wasn't getting a mac until much later in life. This is making me furious. I made posters about getting one. I talked to him about it every chance I got. Everyone in my family told me I deserved it. But nothing. And I need some VERY good reasons why Macs are great and possibly better than PC's. Because I want this computer so bad. (link)

My question is pretty simple. I'm feeling really lonely and I was wondering if anyone knew what to do in these types of situations. Not like sexual lonely haha just friends lonely. I've drifted away from my current friends because they've pretty much gone down the wrong road in terms of drugs, sex, and most everything else correlated with teenage life. I'm 17 at the moment and will be turning 18 in a month, so I figure that maybe the club scene might help me branch out more. I have a myspace, many friends, but like most of ya'll, it doesn't mean anything. So I guess to break it down, what should I do? I'm pretty outgoing and I like to meet new people, but I'm really shy. I know some will say "overcome your shyness" and what not, but that's something I have to work on, on my own. Maybe you can be my friend and chat with me? I know it's impossible to do it alone but I'd like to do my share. I walk and ride my bike a lot, turn off lights when I don't need them, reuse plastic containers, wear old clothing, use the power-saving bulbs, use both sides of my papers, recycle, and when I'm on my own I want to use solar power in my home. I guess you could say I'm a tree huger stuck in modern-day suburbia. I just want to know what else I can do to help the environment. [and not spend a ton of money.] Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Ok so I have a sidekick 3 and its prepaid which means I have no monthly plan or bills and it got really messed up
The scrolling ball is no longer where it should be and I have to use the left side to scroll up or down side to side and I already tried bringing it to the place where I bought it and they said they can't do anything about it and instead told me to take it somewhere else so now what can I do??? OK so i go to A LOT of pool parties.
and well the thing is, i usually look horrible after i get out of the pool!
I see other girls just get out and dry off and they look great but my hair is very thick and wavy and when it gets wet and dries on its own, it gets very dry and frizzy.
also my face gets really dry after i go in the water and at home i use a hydrating gel, but i cant at a pool party.
I also have some acne that i like to cover up with makeup but that usually washes off and i mean i try to bring coverup to touch up in the bathrooom but still.
I want to know what i can do to just have fun at a pool party and not have to worry about how i look?? (link)

Ok, i am starting highschool tomorrow and i am really really nervous! I dont really know my way around the school, i have only been in the hallways and stuff one time. ever since my cousins and aunt came for the summer, i've been under a lot of stress. The little kids talk back and gives you attitude, not only that, they don't listen and they touch all my stuff!! then when i get pissed off, my mom criticizes me of being immature, not understanding and just the same level as them but my mom thinks they talk back and all because they're kids and i just have to understand them. i don't think so, they should have some disciplines. Anyways, my aunt always takes up the houesework that i was going to do while i go to the bathroom, and my mom sees her younger sister cleaning it, she'll yell at me for not offering to help!!!! i think i'm going nuts in this house, what should i do?!?! You'll stop going nuts if you realize that your mom is right and you aren't very understanding. Little cousins are aways annoying and rude to their older cousins. It's a fact. My cousins who are 12 years old still give me attitude and touch my stuff even though they are the most disciplined children in the world. They give you crap because they like you. Just thankful you are able to be with your aunt and cousins for the time being and everything should be fine.

Okay right now I'm doing 60 minutes of cardio (elliptical) a day. I know this sounds like alot but I started out with 15 minutes a day about 3 months ago and I've been working my way up gradually.
I haven't seen any changes in my weight since I started doing 60 minutes cause I only started a few days ago but right now I'm doing the 60 minutes all in one go, which is fine with me, I'm not getting worn out or feeling weak or anything
But I'm wondering, would it be better to do the 60 minutes all in one go or do 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon?
I'm talking in terms of WEIGHT LOSS here. Not in health, I don't care which is healthier because I already lead a pretty healthy lifestyle. But I'm not far off my goal weight and I've reached a plateu and I'd really like to lose my last 7lbs in about a month. So in terms of weight loss, which is better and why? (link)

A few weeks ago I went to my college to clear my fees. I have a pell grant, and the woman that cleared my fees told me all I had to pay for is books, then apparently whatever money left over would be given to me. I was just wondering if this is true? But I really need help, a real answer.
Here is the situation.
My mother is unhappy with one of my classes this year, and I think she is making me switch. I'm not sure if the switch is final yet, but she has already called the principal, and they talked about it.
Background: There is this guy, long story short, that I love. I was hoping for classes with him this year so we could finally talk "it" out. But I got none, and I never see him.
My two options (that the principal gave me) are:
1.) Switch out of Spanish with my best friend, so I can take Art History, which will is the pre-requisite for Photography, which I really wanted to take!
2.) Change up my whole schedule. I'd still be in Spanish with my best friends, but I probably wouldn't see my casual friends anymore. I don't know anyone in the classes I'd be switching too. My school is really small, so the people in the class are probably people I don't like. BUT, if this happened, I'd be in two classes with the guy!!
Bittersweet, eh?

You can buy a used gamecube at EB games for $50, a dance pad for $20, and the ddr game for $40.
So it'll cost you around $110.
Or you can download the computer version of DDR and buy an adapter that lets you use a playstation 2 dance pad. In total it would cost you $30.
