Passwords and stuff. Alright, I DON'T want to know how to hack. I just want to know how it is possible. Like, this guy hacked into my myspace but he wouldn't tell me how. Is it just guessing? Or is there some website? [DO NOT GIVE ME THE WEBSITE] Just tell me if he's a freak or really smart or what.

If someone hacks your email address they can get your password.
Or they tried guessing your password and got lucky.
Or you went on one of those fake myspace login screens and gave them your passwords. (it happens) ]
I hacked my boyfriend's email the other day just to check it & clear it out because he passed away. In order to do that, I went on there & clicked forgot password, answered the security question which was easy & they reset it so I could sign in.
I'm not exactly sure how to hack a computer & delete files & whatnot, but I can hack emails. ]
No, it's not "just guessing." I'm with you, I don't want to know how to hack, but I've got a pretty good idea of how it's possible.
The hacker has to be really familiar with your computer's system and have SOME knowledge of you (enough to be able to figure out what you might use as a password). A lot of information can be found online - way scarier than we think the internet is. Once the hacker can breach the firewalls and other security systems that protect your computer, then it's up to some guesswork about passwords or where you may have saved things...whatever they want.
Myspace hacking is a little different though. It's called phishing and that's (from what I can tell) more about password guessing. Obviously you know that all the log-in is is your email address and password. So, if someone has your email and knows you well enough to take a stab at a password...then you get phished. (hm...having written that, I bet you knew the myspace phish bit. Sorry about that...)
Anyway, no, he's not a freak - I have friends who CAN hack, but don't. It just means he's really good with technology and knows various computer systems and securities well. ]
