The primary console for DDR games is PS1 and PS2, other systems that release DDR games are secondary systems, so Bemani/Konami can spread their wealth.

Most stores that sell DDR games sell small packages that come with a game and mat.

The system to buy would definitely be PS2.

Hope this helped!

Go to www.ebay.com

Hope I helped, and good luck!

A decent pad will be anywhere from 40-100 dollars (mine was 40 off Ebay)

The computer version is free and download-able

Search for "stepmania" or "dance with intensity"

The adapter you will have to research. You can get a pad for the playstation 2, and you will need an adapter that will let you connect it. Adapters are generally 20-30 dollars and allow you to connect 1 pad (the ones Ive found that work, anyway)

You want something that connects to your computer via USB.

You can buy a used gamecube at EB games for $50, a dance pad for $20, and the ddr game for $40.

So it'll cost you around $110.

Or you can download the computer version of DDR and buy an adapter that lets you use a playstation 2 dance pad. In total it would cost you $30.

You can get it for most consoles. I have it for Playstation 2 and I really like it. It's easy to use and it's of course, tons of fun!
That's my reccomendation. It costs around 70 or 80 I think. I'm not sure exactly.
