I was recently at a hair salon getting my hair highlighted, and the stylist who did my hair told me I have the wrong kind of haircut. She said I have a thick layered hairstyle, when what I really need is a thin layered hairstyle. What does this mean? Is there really a difference in layers for thick hair and thin hair?

Well for starters, i have very thin hair. So i get long think layers, and it gives me more volume.
Thin layers are meant to thin out hair, and make it easier to contain. Thick layers are to thicken up.
Its not an exterem difference though, its just from how the stylist aims to cuts your hair.
Thick layers are layers closer together, giving the impressions of a full thick head of hair...while thin layers are more spread apart, so the cut is more dramatic

Ok so I'm a 20yr old male that can't stop drinking soda what can I do. ???what other drink can I replace it with? ?? That taste as good I love orange soda,sprites, and Dr.pepper the most plz help any advice would be good

I have a strange addiction to soda too...what i try to do is replace it with a juice.
Pineapple juice is kinda like orange soda,
cranberry juice is kinda like doctor pepper,
What alot of my friends do is drink lots of gatorades and powerade instead of soda is genereal.

Well now this week I have my period and we're all going to be partying tomorrow so before he tries fingering me or going down my pants how do I warn him that I have my period?? That happened to me to! Something that guys like is honest and bravery...what i did is i just out right told him...
His hands started going down my pants and i just laughed and said not tongith i have a tampon in, he laughed and we just continued doing what we did.
So just tell him in the moment, and not before. That way he can't wimp out of hooking up in general all because you got your period.

My boyfriend bought a box of condoms that are marked as ultra thin or whatever. I told him I won't use them because I think they probably are more likely to break and I'm not on birth control pills so we don't have a back up protection thing or whatever. He says they aren't more likely to break than like regular condoms and doesn't want to go buy more condoms.
Are these thing condoms more likely to break or not?

Alright, I am having my Sweet Sixteen next month. I am not the kind of person that goes to parties a lot nor has them, haha, I'm in the marching band.. yea.. geek. So this is why I am stressing, I want my party to be spectacular. I am planning to put a chocolate fountain on the table with the food and the blender to make smoothies and virgin pina coladas. I also want to have a paint fight. I will tell everyone to bring something white, an old shirt or something and we're gonna fill up water balloons with paint and just go wild. If you ever had a paint fight before, PLEASE tell me how it went! I'm also gonna bring out my Ipod and speakers and blare my music. Also, at around 10ish pm we are going to play manhunt.
My question is, would you come to my party, if you know, you were invited? Does it seem fun to you? If it doesn't sound fun to you, what can I do to make it more fun and interesting? Thanks for your input! (link)

Thats does sound really fun! i would definatly go!
My only suggestion is to take out manhunt...because that game is soo hard to organize and keep organized. Usually people will complain if they arn't with there friends, and then everyone tries to switch teams. Then while manhunt is happening alot of people with go makeout in the woods, or just plain sit out because they dont feel like running...party poopers i know!
I suggest maybe setting up a dance floor areas, getting a bouncy house(no ones too old for a bouncy house!), set up some karaoke, put out T-shirts that people can dye that say something like "I went to (your name) sweet sixteen!"...theres so many things you can do.
Maybe after you have the paint fight, you can bring out water balloons with water in them so the wars dont have to stop. Get a water slide. Hire a dj. Put out a bunch of things so that people can bounce around and always be having a good time. Make sure you have multiple things to, so those party poopers stay occupied and happy.

I am going into 11th grade, meaning I am 15 and I am a girl. I am kind of a worry wart. Putting together that you love travel, like to write, and have a passion for the arts, it seems like careers that would fit you could be:
journalist, author, travel agent, humanitarian, critic, tour leader, photographer, flight attendent, or even a job on a cruise ship.
Job that travel alot do pay well, and coast little to no money to travel ( as long as you travel with the buisness).

i have small warts under the skin on my middle fingers on both hands... i have a few questions if anyone can help...
I have been using bazuka and when i take it off every day it peels my skin off too. is this right and how do i know when its gone?
also my boyfriend is very weary of touching me now, when i have the bazuka on is it still contagious? and how at risk is he of catching them anyway?

Well, if the bazuka is on then the wart wont be able to touch ur boyfriends, therefore not letting him get the disease. He shouldnt be scared to touch you, but if hes timid like that, just understand that hes only trying to stay wart free.
I suggest getting rid of the warts quickly and easily, so the nneither of you have to worry anymore.

I just got a dance team started at the middle school I work for, and we have 11 girls who made the team.
I was wondering what I can do for them on a very limited budget... like I really want them to get little trinkets and whatnot... little gifts here and there for working hard... but I have no clue what to get them.
Being that we are a NEW TEAM, like we have no money. (Uniforms are self funded). So I also need really good fundraiser ideas... but I can already tell you ideas that are out:
-Selling Candy (Can't be sold during the school day).
-Carnation sales (Another organization is doing that).
-Car Washes (Pending, depending on approval)
Any other suggestions... I just really want this to be a succesful program which is why I got it started in the first place, these girls need to be involved and I felt I needed to something. Another reason why I am on such a short budget is because I am only a teachers aide (not making teacher salary), and a full-time univeristy student with BILLS. SO yeah...

They could sell buttons that go on back packs that say "i support the dance team!"
then could sell cookie dough, thats what my soccer team did and we made 4,000!!
Offer for them to throw and host the next schools dance, and they could keep the profits as a fundraiser.

Get cheap Tshirts that show school spirit and sell them during lunch or in the hall.
Have the team hang out as team bonding and make jewlry, then sell it to other students.
Things you can reward the with is cool things like necklaces, bracelets, candy, sunglasses, nailpolish, sparkly hair scrunchies that match school colors, cheap fun eye make up that they all can wear during recitals(obviously school color, or even temporary hair dye spray in school colors(to wear during recitals)

I have a boyfriend. Let's get that out of the way.
I've been working with my coworker for about 2 months now. His last day is on Sunday and the last day I worked with him was a couple of days ago. Apparently we used to work together all the time, but then the main office wanted to split us up because we're "always together" or we're "always talking". He was caring when I was sick, he would always talk to me, and cheer me up. He even said he was going to make me food the next time I work with him, but in the end, he didn't. After my week of being sick, whenever we work together, we're always on the other sides of the stores, we don't talk. We just stand there. It's nothing like before. But whenever we talk, he would flirt. We would give each other hugs now and then but not all the time. I think he was just naturally nice because when he doesn't talk to me, he talks ALOT to other coworkers. He's the only guy at my work place (girl clothing store). He recently bought a cake for this other coworker for her birthday. Last time, he said he dated Caucasian girls but he wants to try Asian. Later on, he started appearing in my dreams. Like we're hugging and stuff (my boyfriend knows). It was really weird to me, so I told my boyfriend and him about it. Then my coworker said, "you had a dream about us kissing? o_o you seem to have alot of dreams about us. :P" Two nights ago he told me he liked my hugs, and that I fit right on his chest. Then that I was a cutie. Today, he doesn't talk to me as much, he seems to avoid whenever I talk to him. He deleted his comment that he sent me. I guess he doesn't wanna deal with anything towards me since I have a boyfriend and because he's moving to another city??

Hes hurt, and sad, and doesnt wanna get more hurt. I understand why he is trying to protect himself, because he probably feels like if you two go any further, itll be harder for him to leave. I mean, can you imagine how hard that would be? Just as thing start getting intense, you have to leave? Itd break my heart...I bet his is already cracking...
He definatly likes you, but he also respects your boyfriend enough to know that your taken. Which just makes it that much easier for him to want to isolate himself from you.

I currently have a foot condition (affecting both feet) which means I am unable to take part in any exercise which requires extended use of them. I really want to improve my health and fitness but the only exercise I can think of which I will be able to do right now is swimming. Are there any other things I could do? (link)

You could try do excersises such as sit ups or crunches, V-ups, and many other types of things. The require sitting on the ground so you wouldnt have to use your feet.
I dont know what your foot condition is, but there are excersises you can do to help relieve then and improve them. One thing i use on my feet is a rolling technique. I take a feild hockey ball (or any small conpound and round object), place in benethe my foot, and roll the ball back and forth beneth my foot and the floor. The point is to put lots of pressure so that it hurts a little bit, that way you know your getting results. What this does is it kneeds the muscles, releasing all the bad fluids.
I dont know if that is a solution to you problem, but it may help :)

so i have a long distance relationship with this amazing guy. we have been talking everyday for 6 months!! EVERYDAY!!!we love eachother soo much, and we beleive we are gonna be together for ever, and i agree, i see no reason for us to break up. well i live in canada, and he lives in the USA. we both have webcams and use them everyday to talk to eachother while on msn. WE have done everything imaginable to like spice things up and make things less boring. WEve talked about like getting dressed up and eating at the sametime on cam like we are having a fancy dinner together and we have done a sleepover on cams, everything. iv typed on google tons of questions to ask your bf, iv went to every site. but i know all the answers to them and i dont want things to get boring. What are somethings we can do, or talk about on cam that will be interesting and FUN!!. It seems we talk about the samethings all the time, and do the samethings all the time. Spicing things up is always fun. Make something for him, show it to him on the webcam, then send it to him. Or if youre into sexual things, do a strip tease, show him what hes missing. Maybe talk about a reunion, plan on meeting up and having an amazing night. Read him a poem you write to him, orrrr anything that will make him laugh so you two can joke around. Be sarcastic, when he brings stuff up use sarcasm to bubble in new conversation, even if it is about the most pointless stuff.
Or, try to talk a little less. Make you both miss eachother more, that way the chats have more meaning to them when you do have them. Who knows, maybe you will both have more to say with the extra time. Itll bring your love and affection more to surface to.

Do you stretch after you swim? Thats probably the problem...swimming will make you more muscular, and when your muscles become more muscular they will tighten and harden. If you dont stretch after, you may become sore or feel like you can no longer touch your toes(just an example haha)

I have a hard time explaining myself. I can NEVER find the right words. It's almost like I can't think on my feet.. I more recently can't remember some semi-unimportant things like movie titles of movies I saw or when 'whatever' happened like dates. This morning I woke up and had a hard time remembering if I took a shower the night before. I don't think it's anything extremely serious. You know how when you call your friend by the wrong name? I do that almost every time and it's like that with other things too like just when we are talking.. I just can't think and it's very hard to speak and make sense.
I'm sorry this probably sounds stupid and doesn't make sense but I can't find the right words to explain myself so I just gave up and wrote how I was thinking.
I really have to strain myself to find the right words and I have a hard time talking in a conversation without feeling like I make no sense.
My friend keeps telling me she thinks something is wrong with my brain..
and I asked ChaCha(lol) "Why can't I think straight ever?" And it said "I'm not exactly sure what you mean by thinking straight, but if you have problems focusing or concentrating, you should speak to a therapist or doctor who may be able to help you with the problem".
This is all over the place but whatever.. I give up trying to make sense.
One last thing, it's not like I'm an idiot though I do get A's and B's. I mostly get like this when I am with my friends, though. It's just very frustrating. (link)

I used to be like that, had trouble communicating and then always felt like i wasn making any sense... but i got through it. For one just relax and be confident in who you are. You probably just get like that around friends because you get nervous that you'll mess up again. And when you set your mind on it that much, its bound to happen over and over... just dont let that in your head.
Therapy could really help though. If you can go and talk to a therapist comfortably, then theres no reason why you can't talk to everyone else that way.
Have you talked to your parents about it? If this is serious enough to you, talk to your parents and ask them about solutions. There are medications you can get that calm your body. Usualy these drugs are prescribed to patients with ADD or ADHD. What it does is calm the body and gives the mind stronger focus. That is bound to let you think straighter and focus more.

I guess, in order to find someones weakness you have to get to know them. If you cant do that, then you need to get to know their friends...or at least ask other people what bothers that person.

I am planning my nephew's sweet sixteen party in a couple weeks. It's going to be a New Orleans Saints theme. My question is: Are 16 year olds too old for goodie bags and if not any suggestions about what should be in them? (I was thinking fleur-de-lis earrings for the girls and black cord fleur-de-lis chains for the boys, but I have no clue what else to put in them.) And do boys call it sweet sixteen or is that just for girls? What about party games??? Please help. (link)

Goodie bags are always fun, as kids get older then just usually call them party favors. Girls tend to get earrings and charm bracelets in theirs, and boys get things like cologn. Stuff everyone likes to get is sunglasses, candy, ect.
Boys also call it a sweet sixteen, just like girls do.

No not nessicarily... But also yes. It just depends on your body. After i got my period, my boobs started growing almost six months after i got my period. My friend started growing boobs before she even got her period. Another friend has had her period for a few years and never really got much boobs.
Boobs are mostly extra body fat. So if your unactive, your most likly to gain boobs.But then again, some people are really active and have huge boobs.

Well, you could trying sucking on pieces of ice. I've never actuall heard of a tongue getting swollen...the only reason i can think it would be is if it was some messy and rough making out or he was sick with something.
As for the sickness try some advil...if by some chance its the rough making out, trying easing up a bit haha
