hey. well, i'm 14/f. and this year i'm going to be going into high school. and i'm really scared about being around all of the older kids and stuff, but thats not what i'm most scared about. i'm scared about sex. this probably sounds really stupid to some ppl, but i don't care. i really want to wait until marraige, but there is so much pressure in high school, i don't want to do something i know i don't want to do. i mean, i don't even know if i'll have a boyfriend or anything, but if i do, i want him to be someone who won't pressure me. how can i have good judgement. please help. and any other good advice about high school will be much appreactiated. thanks a bunch!!!!

So many people portray high school like its some place where theres drugs and sex everywhere and that you can't escape it.
I just finished my freshman year of high school and theres really not as much pressure as a lot of people say there is.
I'm friends with alot of upperclassmen, and not ONCE was I pressured for anything-Drugs, alcohol, sex, anything.
You just have to make friends with the right people. As long as you hang out with the right group of people, and in your case, get the right boyfriend, there's hardly any pressure for anything.
Especially for freshman, in my school, the greatest length upperclassmen went is just complaining about" how "annoying" freshman are.
You really have nothing to worry about.
Your freshman year will fly by! :]

Im 16 and my dad died when i was 8 and my mom recently got married to a guy who used to be in the army. I have two sister and now i have 3 step brothers. He is like way strict and his kids are like perfect angels but me and my sisters have never really been raised that strict and for lack of better words are pretty wild. my mom never really punished us for things( ive never been grounded and ive never ahd a curfew) and now this guy is trying to control us and take over our lives. What should i do?

Well, there's really two ways to approach this.
If you have a really good relationship with your mom, you should sit down with her and explain to her how you feel about how her new husband is parenting.
If she understands where you're coming from, maybe she could sit down with her husband and like.. talk to him about how strict he is, and maybe ask him to bring it down a level, at least until you get used to the new style of parenting.
If you're not too close with your mom, you might just want to take the problem on head-on. Just talk to her new husband, and explain to him that you aren't used to his style of parenting. Or maybe you and your sisters could talk to your step-brothers to kind of get background on your mom's new husband. Since they've known him longer than you have, they could give you tips on how to act around him, you know?

i am inlove, inlove, with boys like girls. but then, all of a sudden, it got on this really popular radio station that EVERYBODY listens too, and they keep playing it, and now like everyone i know is like, "omg i just love them!" and im like you dont even know anything about themmmm. you only know like those two songs. and uhh, there like well, so. and its just EXTREMELY annoying. i dno, im just one of those people who like to be the only one who knows a certain type of music, so then no one can say they like it. because they dont. and its just annoying all the way around.

does anyone ever feel this way??

Unfortunately, this happens ALOT.
And it's seriously one of my biggest pet peeves.
There's really nothing you can do to prevent it.
It's happened to me so many times before, but I still haven't gotten used to it.
All you have to do is remember that you loved them before everyone else started following the trend. :]

is it possible for a fracture in an animal to heal on its own? about how long would it take?

It IS possible for it to "heal" on it's own, but that could lead to future problems with the bone.
The best thing to do is get any fractures checked out by a vet, because the vet would be able to see if there is anything else wrong besides the fracture.

I was suppost to get my period on like the 13th and it's the 19th and it still hasn't come. I've only had my period for a year so is this normal?
I'm scared to go anywhere like the beach or something because it might come then and I won't be able to do anything about it.

And I also want to start shaving "down there" but i'm scared my skin will get like irrated or i'll get like an infected hair when it grows back and I don't want to have to go to the doctor for that. Any tips?

If you've only been getting your period for a year, you definitely won't be regular yet.
So yes, it's normal for it not to come on time at the point that you're at.

Okay. im going to a new school next year, so ive been asking alot of questions on how to be like outgoing and stuff. but i was just wondering, is there a line between trying to be outgoing and funny and stuff even if its already hard for you, and then being fake?
because i know that im not just like a quiet person, becuase when im with my friends.. i can be all crazy and stuff. but when im around other people who i dont no, im really shy. and i dont want to be something im not.. but still..

I'm exactly like that.
Shy around everyone except for my friends.
It's mainly because you're comfortable around your friends because you know them well.
And if you're trying to be outgoing around people you don't know, that's not fake at all.

hey..im going into high school next year as a freshman...and im naturally shy and kinda a know-it-all sometimes...
im worried about friendships and other realtionships being strained....and how i will handle taking all honors classes...can anyone tell me how honors classes compare to regular ones??
if anyone has good advice on handling the freshman year of high school....please tell me!

I just finished my freshman year in high school and it's really not as bad as some people portray it.
Yes, some of your relationships will be strained, especially if you don't have many classes with your old friends. But that just opens up the chances of making new friends!
As for honors, I think it would sort of depend on the school district your in. In some districts, the honors classes are arranged as the regular classes, only more projects and tests. In other places, they have a totally different curriculum for honors.

There's just a few things you should know about being a freshman:
1] Upperclassmen have no sympathy for freshman. At all. Theres maybe a few decent upperclassmen in some schools.
2] Don't talk back to upperclassmen. Just don't.
3] Teacher's won't walk you through everything anymore. If you have a missing homework assignment, they won't keep reminding you until you turn it in. If you don't turn it in on time, you will get a zero on the assignment.

Just don't panic.
Your freshman year will fly by. :]

Haha, I know it's not. Okay, I have had a throat irritation for a while now. It just recently started getting worse. I can't talk. But now, it's plugging up my ears. As a result of this, I am getting a thobbing sensation in my ears, and my throat.

Sounds like you have strep throat.
I know when I get strep throat, it automatically goes into my ears so I end up with strep throat and ear infections.
Just go to a doctor and they will give you medicines that will have you fixed in no time!

but it doesnt work on xanga...so whas the code or how do i do it

When you are writing your Xanga entry, near the top-right corner of the text box, there should be a check box that says "Edit HTML."
Click on the box and it will take you to your entry in HTML form.
Then enter the < img src = > code and it should work. :]
