I wouldn't allow it to go untreated, myself. It's not humane.
I don't know how long it takes bones to heal, but it would ever properly heal unless set and treated.
MAK answered Monday June 11 2007, 3:56 pm: It really depends on the fracture. But honestly, it is extremely inhumane to let a pet's fracture heal on its own. Not only is the percentage high for bone retardation (for lack of a better word), but the animal will be in constant extreme pain. I, personally could never let something like that happen to any of my animals. You should take your pet to the vet, as soon as possible. This is an emergency.
