I've always felt like I should have been a girl when I was born, and I feel wrong as a guy. I'm 16 and in 10th grade. I just feel like I can't tell my parents or friends, cause they would freak, and I just feel like I'm stuck living with this feeling. Anybody have any advice on what I should do? (link)
You're not alone. I know several people who feel that they've been born the wrong gender, so there's nothing wrong with you at all. It's just the way you think and feel. If you're not ready, you don't have to tell anybody. You can take your time getting others used to it, or you don't have to tell anyone at all. But what concerns me is the fact that the fear of what others would think makes you want to not feel this way anymore. You are the only person you should listen to. If being a girl sounds right to you, that's all that matters. Try not to let someone else's opinion sway you from what you feel is right.
Just remember, don't be afraid of what you're feeling. I hope everything comes together for you :)

For Christmas I want an Ipod or mp3 player. But Im not sure which one to get. I understand that an Ipod is the name brand of the mp3 player. I just want a small that could hold about 200 songs. So could someone please let me know what i should get. (link)
I have an iPod Shuffle, and I can fit between 150 and 200 songs. It's really great, about the size of a pack of gum, and i love it because you can set it to where it doesn't have to be on shuffle (I almost never have mine on shuffle)

Costs about 80 bucks and it rocks.

Good arguments that atheists might use against religious people, usually Christians? I deal with a lot of rather annoying fundamentalists.

(And if you are going to answer this by telling me how I need to let "god's love into my heart", then please press the back button on your browser now. There's a pretty good chance you sicken me." (link)
Just state what you believe. A common question athiests are asked is if they worship satan. A good response to that, I think would simply be "I don't believe in your good guy. Why would I believe in your bad guy?"

But for other arguments people might use, you don't owe them
reasons for your path. Just tell them that you believe what you see and know, and their faiths aren't for you. If they ask why, just tell them that you know discussing it would cause an argument, and you'd rather not start any altercations with them.

Hope I helped a bit

16/f. my religion tells us not to have sex until we are married, and i plan on sticking to that. im possibly going to a get a boyfriend soon though, and i dont know how to tell him that im waiting. what are some excuses of why i cant have sex with him besides my religion and i dont want to? (link)
You should be with someone who respects your beliefs. And a sexually active life should always start with a dialogue between you and your partner- discuss pros and cons, reasons, trust, and everything else you need to talk about before engaging in sexual activity. I know of a lot of relationships that end up working great without sex, so maybe it won't even be an issue. But if you or him brings it up, just tell him the truth about why you're not ready. If he's worth it, and he really cares, he'll understand and respect your reasons.

Good luck and hope I helped.

I really want to 'sort of' come out, but my mum thinks that I shouldn't because our town is full of biggots and homophobes. I would only come out on my myspace, by putting bisexual on the sexuality, just so someone might see it. I don't know how to convince her that I sould be able to do so, and I really don't want to do something so big without havin her agreement. Could someone please tell me something to help convince my mum? (link)
Ooh, tough one. In a situation like this, I think it's best to follow your heart. If you believe you're ready to start letting people know, and you trully believe you can deal with the occasional bigot and homophobe, then it's up to you whether or not to come out. Follow the path that YOU think is right for your own well-being, not the path your mom's telling you to go down. Just keep in mind that your mom doesn't want you to get hurt, and she's trying to protect you from the hate that the world unfortunatley does possess. Try explaining to her that you're ready, and maybe she'll understand.
Hope I helped!

How can I, a female under the age of 16, help abused, neglected, homeless, etc. animals? Every shelter that I;ve heard of requires you to be 16 to voulunteer and I cannot adopt another pet. (I've asked, pleaded, begged). I'm thinking of raising money or donating supplies and setting up boxes at random places around my community (continue with what my girl scout troop started) Any advice or suggestions? (link)
How about this, for starters... You can have some sort of party to raise money.. rent some animal movies (like Cats & Dogs, Homeward Bound, etc.), and ask the people you invite to bring a small contribution. Then you can take their donations, along with your own, and drop it off at a nearby shelter. That way you'll give your guests the feeling of helping out, and the workers at the shelter will take notice of your craving to help these animals (And if they do, chances are that when you're 16, they'll let you work and volunteer for them.)
Hope I helped!

The song "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by Panic! at the Disco came on the radio today and I noticed that they beeped out the word "God." Why is that? Is God not supposed to be on the radio? (link)
People get offended easily.. the word "god" isn't in itself offensive, but apparently the phrase "god-damn" is.. I don't get it.. The radio can be pretty freaking stupid..

I've been singing for about 7 years now, and I think it's time I started taking voice lessons. My mom insists that I have no natural talent. She's only heard me once, and at the time, I was so nervous that I didn't sound good. My mom said that if I had natural talent, then it would show up when I was a little kid. However, my choir teacher tells me I'm an incredible singer, and she's the type that never lies to make someone feel good. When I was a little kid, my chest voice wasn't so great and I didn't know how to use my head voice. I'm 13 right now, and a mezzo-soprano (though I have almost a three octave range). So do you have to be talented as a little kid to be a talented singer? (link)
I'm a singer, and I've been taking private voice lessons for about 4 years. I started when I was 12. I've always been singing, but only when I began my voice-lessons did I learn how to perfect my pitch and such. I would definatley start with voice lessons. Some people are born with the talent, yes, but you'll find that usually singers didn't start sounding that great until they did start lessons. Since your mom has only heard you once, I would side with your choir teacher- they're professionals when it comes to this. Good luck!

i'm wicca and i'm gonna have a baby and well i was wondering if it's wrong if i make my baby learn and follow through with the wicca relligon i really want her/him to belive in what i belive in and i think of it as like the christans and how they make them belive in the whole jesus christ bible stuff no offence to any people who belive in that relligon so is it wrong? plez help (link)
Wanting your child to have faith in your religion is a given in any family. I think the best you can do is raise your baby and educate him/her about wicca, but let them decide what faith, if any, they want to follow. Wicca is a branch of paganism, and Paganism is all about not standing to a specific Dogma, but to find your spiritual comfort zone, where you decide what you like to worship. And not all christians make their children worship their god- it's just the way they raise their children, as you will raise yours. Teach your child what you believe in, but when they get old enough to choose for themselves how they feel about wicca, or any other religion for that matter, let them. It's the pagan way, if nothing else. Hope I helped!

13/f
Ive noticed that in the past few days ive been crying all the time, and i dont know why, cos im happy, yesterday was great and its the half term so things are fun. But yesterday i was reading this book about two people in love and then they had this big emotional row and just because of that i started crying.
Then this morning i checked my email and there was this chain mail about how you dont realise how much you love your parents until theyre gone, which made a few tears come from my eyes. Then, i was just watching the streets new music video (where he sings about how he misses his father) and i almost cried.
I dont know why, as i hardly ever cry, why do i keep crying at all these little things? (link)
Since you're a 13/f, these tear-filled episodes are probably related to your hormones. A lot of women, teenage girls mostly, get very emotional for a few days at a time. It usually coincides with her period cycle. In a few days, you'll probably be feeling a lot better.

If you put a drawing on the internet that you traced on say deviantart.com is it legal as long as you specify where you traced from? Ex. You put your drawing up and in the description say "this was traced from [link]" I looked on their website and could not find anything about my question. (link)
I'm actually a member of deviantart, and I'm positive it's illegal. You need the artist's written permission to use their artwork, then you have to credit them anyway. Don't trace art, though- it takes a lot of the art's credibility away and cheapens it. If the artist specifically gives you permission, you can use it with credit to them; if they say they don't want you using their art, then don't use it. If you do, the artist has the right to sue you for copyright infringement.

15/F. I am physically a healthy girl but I am cowardish girl. When ever I come across a situation when I have been badly critisized or get anger of any body, suddenly I release few drops of urine, some times more drops which I can easily feel in my panty and I feel my body is shaking with fear. Altough I am a healthy girl and no habit of urine passing during sleeping etc. Please advice. (link)
This sounds like a stress issue more than anything- I don't think it has anything to do with being "cowardly". Instead, I think it may be your body's defensive mode switching on when you feel threatened or put in a stressfull situation. Everybody's body reacts in different ways to stress- the most common reaction is the tensing of the muscles, but I think accidental peeing is up there too. Try and mellow yourself out when stressfull situations arise, or maybe find a stress-releaver for yourself, like writing poetry or excercising.
If all else fails, a regular doctor will most likely be able to point you in the right direction.
Hope i helped!

i have a really bad phobia of brown recluse spiders. its getting to the point where i cant sleep at night, and im contstantly checking under chairs, under tables, on walls of smaller spaces, and on celings and corners of rooms when i walk in, and i always feel like somethings crawling on me. i feel like im going crazy, what can i do to get over this?? (link)
Eesh. Spiders. Brown Recluse are nasty, yes, but I doubt you'll find them in your home. Still, the fact that you're very hyperaware about them is a little odd. Have you considered the posibilty of having slight Obsessive Compulsive Disorder? It's pretty common, and it affects people in many different ways- some people NEED to be clean, others have to check and re-check things constantly, etc. It's perfectly normal to be on-edge when OCD involves something a person fears. You may want to talk to your family about this, because they'll probably be able to A) calm you and B) help you overcome this. Good luck!

Ever since I was 14, I could read people's minds. It scared me at first, and it still sort of does because I don't know much about it.

Sometimes it happens randomly. I'll be thinking of something and suddenly I start to think something completely different that I can't control. This has happened with my siblings and parents before, and I've been able to tell them exactly what they were thinking/feeling.

My family is thinking about sending me to a doctor (I know this because they think about it alot). But there's nothing wrong with me.

Is this mind-reading thing normal? How do I tell my parents to not send me away? =( (link)
There is absolutley no need for you to see a doctor- nothing a man with an MD can keep you from reading minds. I know about 3 people who have the same issues- they pick up thoughts from people spiritualy or mentally close to them. Many people think it's because of past-linked lives, like if you knew someone in a past life that you know now, you share similar memories and inner conversations. For instance, my mom makes jewelry for a living, and one day she was struggling with a design that involved crescents and circles.. she signed on-line and a close friend of hers asked her what she was thinking about, because he kept getting images of circles and crescents in his mind.
This mind-reading ability is rare, and it can be used to your advantage greatly. It's also called "sending" and "recieving". It sounds like you're a "reciever".
I hope I helped! Best of luck with your family.

is talking to yourself healthy or is it a sign of a mental illness? Because i talk to myself a lot. is it healthy (link)
I talk to myself all the time- It's a good way of organizing your thoughts, especially if you have a short attention span, like me :). Most people talk to themselves- it's completely normal.

well, me and my boyfriend had been going out for almost 6 months, by the way i'm 14. and i thought things were going great, and out of no where he just decides that he doesn't want a girlfriend anymore. and we split. i cried for a few days. and i just can't seem to completely get over him. i just want to pretty much forget about him, and never socialize with him again. what are some things that could help me get over him? (link)
Ooh, this is tough... I think most teenagers have gone through this, or will soon enough. Go out with some other friends, have a good time with friends of yours who aren't friends of his. Scope out some hotties at the mall and stuff. Having some distance from him will make you feel a LOT better. After a while, you'll definatley be feeling better, and you may even want to be friends with him again. I know it sounds corny, but there will always be people who love you; sometimes it just takes a while to find them. Hope I helped.

Hey, I really want to get my ears double pierced but I'm really scared it'll hurt and I'll cry lol. I was about 7ish when I got them pierced for the first time and I cired. And my friend says it doesn't hurt, pintching your ear hurts more then piercing it. So basically does it hurt??

WILL RATE? (link)
I have my ears double-pierced, and my right cartiledge. I cried when I got my ears pierced too, when I was 9. But when I got my double-piercings it didn't hurt at all. It makes a wierd pa-ting noise when the post goes in, and your ear may feel warm, but it doesn't hurt. Good Luck!
