My two best friends in the WHOLE WORLD are in a totally different class. And the worst part is that nobody in my class this year is my friend. I think they all think I'm weird. I am having trouble making new friends and keeping in touch with my old ones. What can I do? (link)

If you dont have a friend - make one!
You may be a bit shy at first and not know what to say, but when you see an opportunity (wow thats a really nice dress, where did you get it?) just go for it!
Dont dwell on the fact that your friends are in different classes, you guys can still hang out and have a fab time, but make some new friends too.

I feel weird asking a fashion question...oh well.
Okay, so my eyes are hazel (greenish brownish most of the time, except when I cry and they turn tealish), and I tend to wear brown eyeshadow because it goes with everything (neutral). Unfortunately, that kind of makes my eyes look brown, too, and they're not. I'd like to find a color eyeshadow to wear that'll make my eyes look greener, and alternately one that will make them look bluer - they do change colors, but the majority of the color depends on what I'm wearing.
Eyeshadow colors, eyeliner colors...I don't wear mascara, so that's out.
Any ideas? I'm open to trying everything. =) (link)

How about a bright turquoise eyeshadow to bring out the turquoise in your eyes?
You can wear it normally or blend it with another colour such as purple. Bright is beautiful :)

I want to upload a picture in bmp. form but everywhere I check out the file size it too big (635 kb) but I dont want to resize it bc its a really special pic to me. Make it a JPEG or PNG and it will take up less space without you having to resize it.

Yeah...I have an advice column...But for once I don't know what to do here. Im soo lost. I love this kid so much. And like he told me that he would ask me out..but it wouldn't be fair to me. So today we were on the phone and I told him that he was sooo sarcastic. And he's like ouch that hurts. And I never wanted to hurt him. That was the last thing I wanted to do. And I wrote him a letter and emailed it to him....It basically said that I didn't deserve him adn that he's amazing and everything adn that he deserves someone so much better than mee...and now I haven't stopped crying in like....an hour...I love him so much...and i judt don't know if i did the right thing...or what i should do from here? hey my hair's brown, straight, and highlited. i ALWAYS wear it down because i don't know what else to do with it. does anyone know any good hairstyles that would look attractive in front of boys? please help! also, my hair islayered, and it's about 1 and a half inches below my shoulders. a lot of people's hair just fall in to place when they put it up, but mine doesn't for some reason. it just sticks straight out. i don't know why, because it's not frizzy or anything, it's just smooth and soft.

Headbands are IN. Brightly coloured hairbands in hair left down can turn a boring hairstyle into a colourful and exciting hairstyle! And its so simple too. You just slot in the headband behind your ears and leave your bangs out.

I have been friends with Lauren since Kindergarden. We've always been close and I've ignored the fact that she's really geeky. Now, im in 7th grade and I'm starting to be really concious of it. Shes so embarassing!! Her nails look like a witch's and she won't let me cut them. I've been trying to slowly ignore her, but since we've been close since forever its hard to pull away. There was one word that stuck in my head when I read your question, and that word was 'SELFISH.'
Maybe she thinks YOU are geeky, or perhaps theres something about you that annoys her? She's not selfish enough however, to ditch her best friend and be ashamed of her.
Think about this, you've known her since KINDERGARTEN and now you're in 7th grade? That's an awfully long time, and it would be a shame to see such a great friendship go to waste.
Don't ditch her tonight, SHE invited YOU. Without HER, you'd probably be sitting at home doing nothing.
I can understand that perhaps you guys need time apart and to make new friends, but you shouldn't completely cut her out.
Maybe hang around with some new friends without her, but do something together at least once a week, so she doesn't feel like you've ditched her.
Who knows, perhaps she'll find some new friends too and then she won't be around so much.

13/m I'm going through puberty, I know it. Nothing physical yet. I'm still short. My voice is still insanely soprano. I don't have any acne yet. No facial hair. But I'm feeling everything mental. I'm getting smarter, I must be since I've been suddenly getting better at chess. And I'm experiencing every one of these what I like to call "true emotions": from love to infatuation, from rejection to jealousy, I'm feeling it all. I can't even remember everything else, I'm so distraught!
Now, if I had someone to talk with, things might be better. But my friends are only going through physical and not emotional/mental so far, except for those two guys who're obsessed with "is she hot?" right now. So many Advicenators are so obsessed with all that 13-year-olds-can't-love crap that their advice winds up getting me more depressed than it does help me. My parents figure that if I haven't physically changed, I couldn't possibly be mentally changing, and so they just tease me about it. I tried keeping a journal, but I'm not good at that stuff. And I'm way too busy to see a therapist or something.
I'm soooooo pissed off at the world, my life sucks. I shouldn't even bother living or making my regular jokes anymore. I'm nothing anymore... please help me!!!

As much as you think that you feel alone and think you are the only person to be going through this, YOU ARE NOT.
Every teenager has had to go through the same thing. Hardly any need a therapist but some keep a journal. It sounds like a good idea, so try again! You could write down the good things instead of the bad, and when you're having a bad day, read over the good stuff again.
It really is normal, so I wouldn't worry about anything too much. You may think your life sucks now, but when you mature a bit more, you will realise that all this is stupid, and a part of growing up.

If you want to get somewhere with this, you'll have to tell someone. I'd try small talk with him at first, things like 'so what did you do over the weekend?' etc. and you'll find that it gets easier the more you talk. And, your friends will probably guess you like him if you do this too so you won't need to admit anything!

It's not normal at all. Girls may say that they think that they are fat, but they don't mean it.
If you say it and mean it, you have a problem. And just from that fact that you don't eat except for cookies tells me that you have a problem.
If you are willing to help yourself, eat perhaps a salad on the first week, add yoghurt the next week, and so on and so on until you've built your diet again.
If you can't help yourself, see a doctor because anorexia is a serious problem that should be treated in the early stages. The later you leave it, the harder it gets.

Wet a face towel and fold it so it fits over your eyes. Lie down with the towel for about half an hour. The puffyness should go down some.

The first thing that comes to mind is hippie ghost. Get a sheet and tie dye it. Cut two holes in it for eyes and voila! Hippie Ghost.
But other things you could try are:
Goth Girl (wear black, wear your hair down and wear a LOT of black make-up)
Greek Goddess (a sheet wrapped over you in toga style with a tiara possibly)
A Princess (Any Pretty Dress with a Tiara and High Heels)
Any animal (Face paint and any clothes that are the colour of your animal)
Or perhaps Charlie Chaplin! (Paint on a little moustache and wear a suit with big shoes)
