Hi everyone, my name is Kim, im 15 years old and i live in western PA. I have 3 sisters and 3 brothers, two brothers are in the services, which one is currently in Iraq and the other is leaving for there soon. im goin into 11th grade, and i play percussion in my school's marching band, and i throw javelin in track. i am a volunteer firefighter, and i am in an ambulance service. im getting my EMT certs. at the end of june. i like to help out my community any way i can. ask me any question you would like, and i will do my best to answer. i will warn you, i dont have answers to everything, but no one does. How do you get the redness & the swelling of a zit to go down? I'd be very gratefull for just one of the two answers but two would be GREAT!

See, I am gonna see the guy I like tomorrow around 7, & my face is clear besides this red zit right in the middle of my forehead. I know that make up will make it look better but its just so red!!

So I just want some tricks to 1. make the redness go away, & 2. make the swelling go down.

I don't want answers like "wash your face", cuz I do that day & night.

Is it the stupidest thing to want a baby when u had a miscarriage earlier on in the year, when earlier in your life u had bad things going on with your dad but knowing your mum would give you full support, having the bestest boy friend in the world u’ve been with him for a year and just wanting something to fill that hole in your heart you just want something more to love.. at the age of nearly 15..?

if it will make you happy, and your mom supports it. and if you think you and your boyfriend are ready for it. then i say go for it. of course his parents should be okay with it too. and no its not stupid. follow your heart.

ok this is gonna sound gross but i get REALLY bad pit stains and they are so embarassing! does any1 know any deoterant that gets rid of them besides secret b/c im alergic to that and dove b/c it doesnt work either...!

hi. Im going into 6 grade.. and i wont tell my age cuz i dont wanna get banded.. but anyways .. Jan.19 2005.. i went for a check up at the doctors.... and i wieghed 86.. pounds.. and i didnt care.. but i went yesterday (aug 27 05..) to check my azma or whatever.. and she weighed me for somereason .. and i weighed 100.. and i dont wanna weigh that i want to weigh like 90 .. for now.. what can i do.. my mom says theres nothing to worry about. Your tall .. not over weight.. and well i still dont want to be 100.. any help?

i say excersize.. and also drink water instead of pop. drink only one can/bottle of pop a week. its better for you and you'll lose weight. ;-)

my older sister just had a baby. and me and my mom have been taking care of him. and now that i've had experense with babys. i think im old enough to take care of him my self. but everytime i ask my sister she says im not old enough. i feel she dos'nt trust me. i feel she dos'nt think im responsble. i mean she babysat infits when she was my age. how do i convince my sister that im old enough and responsble enough to do this

show her that you can feed it, change diapers, and entertain it. i can guarantee she'll change her mind especially when no one else can watch the baby that day.

to lose stomach fat, is walking the same as running? im not very good at running and i really want to lose my stomach fat so can i just walk? will walking help me lose my stomach weight?

i drank water instead of pop. i treated myself to a pop once or twice a week. no chips and bad stuff like that. situps work pretty good, and trampoline helps alot and its actually fun! walking will help and you'll actually be able to move without arthritis pain at age 65. ;-) best of luck to you..

my family is all messed up.. my mom is terrified of my father and my father is the BIGGEST bastard. the other night i told him i hated him and wish he died.. he hit me and almost hit my mom.. their supposidly getting divorced and their already selling the house..but my mom never does jack shi**T because shes scared of him.. i want to be emacipated.. how can i come about doing it? im 15/f

first talk to your gudiance counselor about this and they'll give you the exact information. Or find a lawyer you can speak with. i know you have to have a job and prove you can take care of yourself or that someone can help take care of you. best of luck..

Okay, so my mom is screwed up. She thinks I should respect her when she has not earned it. She makes me doubt that commandment, because I'm beginning to see that not everyone that births a child is fit to raise them.
She makes six-digits/year, so I'm not looking for DFACS to take me away from her exactly, but does anyone know of some free counseling/therapy I could have her attend, and how to get her to attend? I'm going to ask my school guidance counselor about it tomorrow.
Any other ideas about how I could change her course of thinking (she moved from New England to Georgia--where I am now--and the culture is very different. She has continued to fail to see that.) would be greatly appreciated.

Just tell her exactly how you feel again and again untill she gets it in her head. its going to be hard, i understand that and she may get mad from asking her often. Then explain that you would like her to see a counselor, and if she wants you'll go with her at first of course. talking to your gudiance counselor is an excellant idea. good luck..

Okay.. IVE BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE for some nice black pants. NOT DRESSY PANTS, not the kind with the silk or anything. And not dark blue. Im talking jet plack pants with a good amount of pockets. (and not hot topic/gothic pants)

no i don't think he's worth goin back to because if he dumped you, then got another girlfriend immediatly, obviously he's very rude and inconsiderate. how do you know that he wont dump you again like last time? if you really like him though, then go out with him. do you have a friend which you can trust to tell this too? if you do everytime you feel the need to injure yourself call them and talk to them. you and him/her might be able to stop you.

ok well im 14 and i have been a cutter since i was 12. im also anorexic. i have been since i was like 10. i also have trouble eating infront of people, when i have to eat. i just get nervous and very self concious when i eat around other people. even my parents. im 4'10" and i currently weigh 94 lb. i want to get over my cutting and eating disorder SO BAD! i have tryed forever but just run back to them. i think about suicide a lot, espically after this year. this year i lost a lot of friends. 2 died in a car accident on the same day and 4 killed themselves. it has affected me badly.
now i am addicted to cutting. i cant feel the pain anymore. no matter how much or how deep i cut. ive tryed the rubber band thing but it doesnt work. if you have any ideas on how to stop then please answer. i rate high.

I know exactly what you feel. im sad to say i had the exact problems from 12-14. my advice to both of those problems would be find a good friend, who you can call and talk to everytime you feel like cutting. Instead of cutting, talk to them. It really helped me. Anoerxia.. is a difficult situation, i got involved at school in sports, and thats how i had to eat or i knew i'd get sick and end up in the hospital. anoerxia is a tough disease, but i have faith in you to beat as i did. This may be the first question of its kind here. See, a lot of things have built up behind and with me, and it has caused me to attempt to injure my knee for about a year now. But, I'm really addicted to it now, and I try at least 3 times a day usually. I almost enjoy it, even. But, I want to stop. Ever had soemthing like that where you feel a need to stop something you enjoy? Anyways, I went through my mind the steps I usually advise to stop SIing, and none of them seemed to work. There is nobody I can tell, as any will cause more problems than it will solve. I'm very anti-social-phobic, where I am afraid of become a loner for the 3rd time in my life. My parents do not know any of the causes, so when they hear the effect, they want to know the causes. If I ever explained it to them, they'd ruin my life. They're out. So are responsible adults, as there is nobody I am confortable enough to speak to.
So, I believe that the only way to stop is if I get too far. If I actual do injure something badly, I will no longer have to try, thus saving me. I have no self will, if that's what you're going to suggest.
So my question is, how? How can I possibly do it?

well, i know what you mean on that subject, cause i used to be the same way.. what i did in that situation was when you want to (in your case) injure your knee) you should do something else, or think of something instead. for example, buy a punching bag, thats what i did. i bought a blow-up punching bag and hit that instead. Concentrate on something else instead. Hope i helped you!
