i started highschool this year without knowing ANYONE, and i've adjusted really well. I'm still haveing some trouble, though, just meeting everyone and making friends. I know a girl who was also new this year and everyone who meets her like LOVES her. What are some tips so i can be more friendly and inviting, and like easy to talk to? thanks =]

Try to become friends with the other new girl. Often times, if there is more than one new person at a school, they become friends. Just start casually talking to people at lunch and whatnot. Be sure to have a welcoming smile and let people know that you are just trying to make some friends. Pure kindness is the best way to go!

I want to become friends with my ex again. But, there are several problems. First of all, we haven't talked in about 9 months. Secondly, I have a boyfriend now who might become jealous if I were to become friends with the ex again. Also, I don't really know how I'd start a conversation with the ex. He and I have 1 class together and actually have several friends in common. Help, please?

My boyfriend would be very jealous if I were trying to become friends with an ex again. It's nice that you want to be friendly, but I have gotten noting but problems from friendships with my exes. Make sure your boyfriend knows that there is nothing between you two, and that you just want to be nice. As for how to talk to him, just ask him how he has been and talk about stuff you'd talk about with any other friend. This should be easy since you have some nutual friends.

I use a program called PhotoImpression, which I got for free. It's an excellent program that I am very happy with. If you Google it, I am sure you will find a download for it. It's also very safe.

If your parents are not willing to help, try talking to another adult. It may be best for you to see a doctor/therapist. They have prescription medicines for depression. I am not sure if something recently happened to upset you and make you feel so sad, but I will pray for you. Please talk to someone before it gets much worse.

I would like to copy a word file that I have onto a CD-RW using Windows Media Player...is this possible and if so, how do I do it?

The person below me did a wonderful job in answering this. Follow her steps and it should work out fine. As far as I know, Media Player isn't able to copy files like that, but her method seems full-proof.

I have just made a webpage through Godaddy.com and I would like to add a comment box to one of my pages so that people can ask questions and get advice etc. Does anyone know what codes I need to put in to make it so that they can insert their comment and it can be posted on the webpage.

There is this guy I've been crushing on for about a year. We are friends, but everytime we are like, "Let's hang out." it kind of just never happens, because there is nothing to do around here. Well, people have been telling me to just tell him I like him, but I'm scared. So for Christmas, I was thinking of doing something like getting him a hersey kiss and putting it on a piece of paper saying, "I don't have the guts to give you a real one, so I guess this chocolate kiss will have to do. Merry Christmas." Is that too cheesy? What other things can I do that will make him smile?

I don't think that is cheesey at all! I think it is a really cute idea. Definitely go for it. I think it's all you need to make him smile.

how long do you have to be doing it for/how often for your voice to become lower? im a singer and have been smoking about 3 months and have already noticed a difference..maybe Im imagining it? Also, if your voice does become lower, can you change that?

The person below me did an excellent job in answering this question. I would advise you to stop, especially in you are an aspiring singer. It is better to stop now than to wait until the hoarseness in your voice is extremely noticable.

My best friend of 5 years is Tom. Tom has always been there for me, and he's a really great guy. I (being a girl) have developed some feelings for him. Tom liked me a year ago, but I sort of just ignored that; we were still close friends. This year things are different, and I feel like I want to be with him.

He likes this girl Amber who he met a couple months ago, but we are still close friends. I'm jealous,quite frankly. Tom asked Amber on a few dates, but she turned him down. They hooked up (just kissing) and presumabely she likes him? Yet they are not going out.

I want to tell Tom that I have feelings for him, but I don't want to tread on anyone's feet. Amber is not the nicest of girls, but either way, I'm not sure if it's the best idea to suddenly drop a bomb like that on him.

I almost feel like he's just with Amber because it's just someone to like, you know? Maybe if I told him how I feel, he'll realize he likes me too...

I have no clue what to do. :/

You should tell him how you feel. The worst thing is to keep your emotions inside. Just bring it up and let what happens, happen. Let him know how you feel and ask him what his opinions are on a relationship between the two of you. If he doesn't think it's a good idea or if he isn't sure, don't rush him. You two are good friends, so everything should work out.

Today I started talking to my ex, and everything seemed perfect again. He asked me to go out with him and I said yes. Now I'm doubting my decision. He lives out of state, and I don't know if the whole long-distance relationship could work. I don't know if he's whats right for me right now...I'm not sure what I should do. Help!

I say you give it a shot. You probably feel like everything it perfect again because you were reminded of good times you had before you guys broke up. I think you should just see what happens, and make sure you guys communicate a lot. My friend recently moved to Georgia and her boyfriend lives here in Texas. I must say that their relationship is even better than some of the people I see together everyday.

If you love something, nothing that anyone says should matter. Just follor your dreams and what you want to do. Practice makes perfect, so try singing for your family and friends. You can even take some classes. No one will make fun of you if they can tell how passionate you are about your goals.

okay so i really need help.

i really like this guy.
weve been friends since the beginning of Freshmen year.
but over the past couple of months ive started to see him as more than a friend. well i talked to a couple of my close friends about what to do. They told me to tell him, all he could do was say no. that he didnt see me as nothing but a friend. sooo i told him this past friday night. i typed 4 paragraphs about how great he was, how he deserved better than someone he was talking to that screwed him over, big time, and telling him that i really liked him. well all i got in return was "your so fn sweet and cool" then today when i walk into 5th he grabs me and gives me this huge hug, then i go sit down to do my bell ringer and he comes by me and starts hitting a bunch of keys. (He sits infront of me, in keyboarding) after that he messes my hair up. then he leaves to go donate blood 15 mins after 5th started and he stairs at me the whole time hes walking to the door/out it.

soo yeahh does this mean he likes me as more than a friend??...wouldnt he have told me??....am i not good enough for him???...why hasnt he told me anything, whyd he leave me hangin and then today do all that?...should i ask him if he likes me as more than a friend?? or just wait and see??

My advice to you is not to rush it. Maybe this is his way of letting you know he likes you, by flirting. Wait a little while and see what happens. If you are still impatient, then ask him a little later if he wants to try a more-than-friends relationship. Beware, though, that if you guys try it and it doesn't work out, your friendship may not be the same.

Well there is this guy I like. He has a g/f. He knows I like em' so he said he likes me a lil. So today I gave him a note saying that i like him but i don't want to get into trouble, and that I don't know what to do. I told him I had a note for him, & then he asked me if I talked to his girlfriend about it..? and I was like no,. Him: cuz someone said that they were in class and they got someone watching me. Me: WTF?. I didn't talk to her or anything. Bell rings, I see him reading the note and I walk off fast. Am I gonna get my ass kicked? I don't know what to do!. Ahhh.

Well, I would advise you not to mess with this guy... If he has a girlfriend and says he likes you, how would you feel if you were the other girl? If he is talking to other girls behind her back, don't you think that could happen if you two started dating? Don't worry about the girl situation; most girls are all talk.

I accidentally left my glasses on a school bus that took us on a field trip today. My mom said that she wasn't going to help me or get me new ones, but she said to check out with our teacher to see what bus it was. I am so worried because I can't see like at all, and I thought that my mom of all people would help me find them, but she said right to me that she wouldn't. What should I do to find them exactly? (Note: These are the same buses that take us to and from school each day.)

You're on the right track with talking to your teacher. The school should have a record of what buses take which kids to each place. When you have found the bus number, talk to the bus driver to see if he/she found your glasses, or if any kids turned them into a Lost And Found.

14/f -- i'm not prude, but i don't hook up with people alot. the last time i did was in october, and before that in may. i don't know if i'm a bad kisser, but one of the guys i hooked up w. told his friends i was but he changed the story. so i don't know -- but getting to the point, is there anything i can do with my tongue that people generally like to improve my kissing? or my hands, or basically anything that will make the experience for more pleasureable for both of us. i know that everyone likes different things, but just from your experiences or what you've heard, i guess.

Be sure to relax and don't be nervous. Basically go with the flow! I tend to place my hands on the back of their head. Although I have never tried, I have heard that writing the alphabet with your tongue is a good way to kiss. But don't concentrate too much on your letters or you'll be stiff. If you let him kind of lead, it may be a little easier.
