Recently I had to reboot my computer, deleting everything from it. So i re-downloaded Itunes, but when i plug my Ipod in it doesn't recognize it and it says something about the driver..i dont have any disks and i need to update my ipod but i don't know how :[

well of well what i meant about land line like they can go on to your login and see every website that you have been to. So you mean that every website that I have been to while on that has been encrypted and they cant tell that i have actually been to it.
That is not how Freegate works. Pages are only encrypted between you and the proxy, not at either end. If someone can access your computer, they can see everything.

ok here i go well i am using an application its called freegate and i use it at school to do things on the internet and well ok i believe the program encrypts every site but not sure but any way if my school does a land line scan on all the sites i have been to will those sites show up while i was using the application hope you can help
What do you mean by "land line scan"?
Freegate doesn't stop anyone from eavesdropping on you if they have access to your computer. It doesn't prevent people from installing keyloggers or even looking at your history. Nothing on your computer is encrypted.
If your school doesn't have access to your computer, they will not be able to see which sites you visited. The connection between you and the proxy is encrypted. They might be able to tell that you are using Freegate, though, if they look hard enough.

There is no free automatic way to download video from brightcove (which that site uses), and the manual way is difficult.
-Download and install Wireshark:
http://www.wireshark.org/
-Close all programs that access the Internet except your browser.
-Go to the video you want to download. In the video player, go to Menu -> get link. Go to the link, which should be at brightcove.com. Stop the video.
-VERY IMPORTANT: you must now clear your cache. Search Google for "clear cache" and follow the instructions for your browser. If your cache is not cleared, this will not work.
-Start Wireshark. Go to Capture -> Interfaces. One of the interfaces will have an increasing number under "packets". Click "start" next to that one.
-After you have clicked start, go to the brightcove.com video page and click Refresh in your browser. Wait for the video to play for a few seconds, then stop Wireshark by going to Capture -> stop.
-In Wireshark, enter "http" (without quotes) into "filter" box.
-There should be a long, mostly green list in Wireshark now. If not, you did something wrong.
-You are looking for a particular entry in the list. It will be in this form:
GET /asdf/asdf/asdf/asdf
-Look in the URL after the GET for ".flv". The one with ".flv" is the one that you want. Here is an example:

-Now, click on the correct entry in Wireshark. In the bottom panel, expand "Hypertext Transfer Protocol". Right click the GET URL that you determined above, and select Copy -> bytes (printable text only).
-Paste what you just copied in notepad. Remove GET from the beginning everything after .flv from the end.
-Back in the bottom panel of Wireshark, look for "Host", underneath where you got the URL above. Put this at the beginning of the URL you just copied into notepad. A space should not separate them, and you should not copy any "\r" or "\n". A valid host is:

-You now have your download URL. Here is an example of a final download URL:

what's the name of the font when you use safari? my laptop downloaded it when i updated itunes and i tried it out to see if it's better than mozilla firefox. i love the font. it's not arial. it might be lucida sans unicode? does anyone know for sure?
Safari's user interface uses Lucida Grande. Lucida Sans Unicode is the closest equivalent for windows; good guess.
Safari also smoothes all text displayed within it, making it look significantly softer/blurrier than everything else in Windows.

I recommend you send it by email. If you have Windows XP, open your video in Movie Maker and go to File -> save movie file. If you have Windows Vista, open your video in Movie Maker and go to File -> publish movie.
In the publish movie/save movie file wizard, choose "my computer" and "best quality for playback on my computer". Even though the other options may seem better, they will not do what you want.
After you've saved the movie file, right click it and go to "properties". If the "size" is more than 10MB, upload it to Badongo and send your teacher the download link:

If the size is under 10MB, send it in an email attachment. If the size is any amount of KBs, then you are using the wrong file. Use the file you saved through "publish movie" or "save movie file", NOT "save" or "save project".
If you can't use email, then you should use a USB flash drive instead. I do not recommend you use a disk. You can buy USB flash drives for under $20, and unlike disks they are reusable and as easy to use as a hard drive.

If double-clicking the saved file opens Movie Maker instead of Media Player (etc), then you are using the wrong file. That file is a Movie Maker meta-file, and while it will work on your computer, it will NOT work on anyone else's.

Not system-wide. It's a per-application thing. For firefox, you can use the No Squint extension to make everything smaller (change the default primary zoom level to something under 100%):

i loveeeee the movie serendipity, it came out in 2001 so its not that old, i have the new ipod nano chromatic. ive been getting movies from limewire until i get itunes cards. i wentand looked in the itunes store for the movie but i could only find the soundtrack to the movie.

I learn really well by listening to things over and over again. I have big tests and exams in a week and a half and was wondering if it was possible to record myself making study notes then put that onto iTunes and get it to my iPod or something like that? I have an 8GB iPod Touch that I bought from Apple recently. I also have a Dell computer (I love Dell computers and iPods).
Would I need any special programs if I can do this? Would my Dell computer already have the required program or would I need to buy and download something?

You need a microphone, of course. Some laptops come with them built-in, but most don't.
Use Audacity to record yourself:

Click the red circle and talk into the microphone. Click the brown square to stop. You'll also be able to cut/copy/paste from the audio after recording with audacity if you want. To save the audio, go to File -> export as MP3.

Right now, I'm overseas in England (just making sure you know all the factors). My DS needed to be charged, so I got out my international adaptor and plugged my DS to it, and it to the wall.
And nothing. No charging of any kind. At all. No light on or anything.
So, I figured maybe it's because the voltages are different, so I bought a energy converter. It works charging my laptop, but again, no response from the DS lite.
I know DS batteries tend to need to be replaced and such after some time, but I don't think that's the case. Is there a problem with my power cord, the battery, or what? And if so, how do I get a new one, not lose my firmware data, and replace it?
Use a multimeter to see if the actual input voltage matches the input voltage written on each adapter. The problem is most likely from your first adapter, but you'll see when you test. If the problem started as soon as you entered Europe, then the voltage/amperage/frequency difference is almost certainly the problem.
Nintendo might also know what to do. I would call them first.

I have a really bad cold with a sore throat and nasal congestion. At first it was just a runny nose but now it's two days later and there are more symptoms. I am trying to avoid taking medications (unless, of course, I see a doctor and they are prescribed). I asked my neighbors if they knew any cures for a cold but they were clueless.

At the first sign of a cold, I take 5g of vitamin C. In my experience, doing so significantly reduces the severity and duration of cold symptoms.

On my myspace, i've had it so my top friends would not show on my page for a long time. Now i want it to show again. i got rid of the "hide friends section" code that specifically keeps it from showing and does nothing else, but that didnt fix it. Something in my actual layout code is keeping it from showing. I've looked through the code and tried changing or getting rid of parts that sounded like they might keep my top friends from showing, because im usually decent with html and can usually fix little things on myspace, but nothing i've done works! i really want to get my top friends to show, but i also want to keep this layout! so let me know if you know what it is that is keeping my top friends hidden, or if you know of a code i can get that will make it show. thanks!

I do not know why, but suddenly everything on the computer screen went upside down. we turned our monitor on its top so we can read the screen. Does anyone know why this happened or how we can fix it? thanks
The option will be in your video card settings. I can't be more specific because where the setting is depends on your video card's manufacturer. Look in start -> control panel and start -> control panel -> display settings. There may also be an icon on the right side of the taskbar which belongs to your video card, right clicking that might give you access to the settings. Otherwise, read the documentation and call your computer tech support.
This probably happened when you accidentally pressed the hotkey to flip the screen. You will be able to disable this hotkey in your video card settings.
