I was home-schooled for the last half of all 4 years of high school,so I know how you feel.Sit down with your mom and let her know how much you miss your friends,and the social aspect of school.Let her know that you miss being involved actively in a classroom,and working on group projects,and being at lunch with all your friends,goofing off and making fun of the nasty cafeteria food!Hehehe!Tell her you feel left out of a lot of the things your friends are doing(cuz I know that happens,I felt that way sometimes).Mention that you're missing out on all the extra-curricular activities and sports,and all the after school stuff like going to the football games and pep rallies!Once mom sees how much you're hurtin over this and how sincere you are,she should start to rethink her position!

ok idk how to say this. i read my sisters away message the other day and it sed "my life is so perfect. so dont try to ruin it" and i feel like my life is crap cuz of everything that is going on. how it her life so perfect and mine so horrible? wut am i missing?
Well depending on what all really is going on,you should take a look at why you feel so unhappy!You never know,your sis might be hurting just much as you are,but chooses to either hide it or to fill her life with positives and try and get past the problems and hurt.Have a talk with her and ask her what her secret is,hehe!It might even bring you and her closer together!

my sis moved out sometime after christmas. well she didnt exactly move out. shes was 17 at the time and she kinda ran away. but she stayed at her friends house during the last half of her senior year of high skool. now she is in college cuz shes taking summer courses. i miss her so much and only talk to her like every other day on the internet. what do i do? i miss her soo much and i dont know wut to do. i havent seen her alot this year. and it was her senior year which is important to some ppl. that and i feel like i wont see her anymore. wut can i do?
Let your sis know how you feel,and how much you miss her!!Then try and see if you 2 can sit down and go over your schedules and MAKE time for each other!Sounds like you really look up to and admire your sister,so I think she'll do the right thing and make time for her lil' sis!!

Okay i use to go out with this guy..we started going out in nov. of 03.....well he was ALWAYS there fer me!! always...i know he loved me n i still do love him!! well we had been going out fer 2 1/2 months..well see his best friend is my ex...n at tha time i was still crazy for my ex..i would flirt with my ex allll tha time in front of my b/f..n i would go to his basketball games n stuff...although i NEVER cheated on my b/f i did hurt him..i was soo into my ex that i told my b/f that i thought we should.."take a brake" we took a brake fer 2 weeks n then got back together!! He was sucha a sweety!! but....then afta a month i broke up with him...tha was in march....tha last day of school(june 9) i invited him to come ova n go swimming in my pool...we flirted n flirted!! then we were outside alone n he had told me that he liked me after we broke up..a month after we broke up..n that he had still liked me when he was going out with his ex girlfriend Katie...but right now he doesnt wanna be in a serious realtionship..he told me he missed us hanging out n talking n he wanted us to be close friends or be friends with benefits but other then that he didnt want ewnthing more...well that night we hooked up n then after that i talked to him on tha phone once(he was in a really bad mood) n i havent talked to him since (so like i havent talk to him fer a month) i miss him soooo much...he would come ova when i would get sick n watch movies with me alll night long instead of goin out with his friends...he spiled me he gave me everything we wanted n we basically never really had a big fight bc he ALWAYS let me have it my way..i noe he loved me n im pretty sure he still loves me..but i want him back i miss him so much!!!! i've been thinking of calling him but i dont really know what i should do...PlZzZ help! I think maybe he's being leary now because he got hurt before by you.But since you guys are supposed to be friends,give him a call.Tell him you just missed him and wondered how he was.Then ask him if he'd come over or take a walk with you,or even meet someplace,to talk.Then lay it on the line,let him know how you feel!!

Yea,that's totally normal!!Nothing to panic over!It's probably just as you said,you guys got a little rougher this time,or a little more "into" it!Hehe!It should stop being sore by tomorrow or maybe even the day after.If not,and if you continued bleeding that's when you see a doc!Otherwise,no,it's totally normal,one of the many joys of being a female!;)

okay. well i just moved out into my own apartment and i'd like to get a pet. the problem is i don't know what kind. i'd like something that doesn't require a TON of care, but something that i can also play with..can you help?
I'm a cat person so I may be biased on this one,but I think a cat would be perfect for this situation.While they do require some care(namely the litter box and making sure their food bowls are filled,lol),cats are very independant creatures,they can get along just fine while you're gone and they don't require CONSTANT 24/7 attention!But while they're independant,they are great to play with and they are very loyal and cuddly animals.They make great companions!!!:) Let me know what you get!!! :)

How do you get ur hair to look wavey and a little curly with gel or other products...when I try it with gel it just makes spiral curls and I don't like it!! =/
Try using a spray gel,it's a lighter formula than regular gel,but works just as well.For bigger,looser waves try a large barrel curling iron.Section off several pieces of hair around your head,and in one inch sections use the curling iron!Large velcro rollers also work great!Maybe try applying the spray gel or frizz serum after you get outta the shower,and then wrapping up your hair with a scrunchie.Maybe even sleep on it,and when it feels about 80% dry let it down and shake out the curls.And you can always go 80's and use a crimping iron on some sections!Hehe! I still think that look looks really cute on people!!! ;)

ok. i have blonde, sort of curly/wavy hair and its a little below my shoulders and im starting to change my style a little bit into EMO, i have glasses and i wanted to get like wispy bangs like hilary duff. would i look completely stupid with bangs or would it look good?? PLEASE help me!!
I think it would look adorable!!! Make your look your own,that's a big part of EMO style(even tho I'm not real overly EMO myself,just a little!)!As long as you're happy with it,that's all that matters!And hey,who knows you may even start a new trend at school or among your friends!!Ya never know!Experiment,and have fun!!!! ;)

The possibilities are endless!!Haha! Make it personal,put pics of things that represent you and who you are.For example,if you like music,put a pic of a big music sumbol with little tiny hearts around it,or a pic of your favorite singer!There's always the hearts,butterflies,stars,kitties,doggies,etc.!!!My friend and I were really into our local football team and so we decided to design t-shirts that were green,and draw all the markings of the football field on it,and the 50 yard line in the center!We wanted to cut the sleeves off and attach the top part on the shoulder w/safety pins!!Hehehe!!! So anything you're passionate about works great! Maybe make best friends shirts,like put your names and put "Friends Forever" or something!That would be cute and a great memory to have.Two of my friends used to match by wearing the same thing in their fav. colors,one was pink and was blue!That way it was matching,yet different to make it slightly more individual!!!Have a great time doing the shirts!!!Hope this helped you some!

Well,it's always good to get a fresh start!!Go to your stylist and get your hair cut to a good length,where ALL of the dead ends,or as I call them,"dead weight",lol are cut off!!You're best t dye it to a color close to your natural color and then stay away from the dye for a while!!Try alternating days where you straighten it,and days where you let it air dry and curl.That's what I do!! I have naturally curly hair and I totally killed my hair so I can relate!!!But my hair is great now since I cut all the dead ends off and dyed it back to a color close to my natural color.Any shampoo and conditioner that say "revitalizing" or "renewing" are great!I love Pantene,Salon Selectives,and Suave.Make sure to moisturize your hair,that way it won't dry out!Also,stay away from the heat of the hair dryer and straightening irons for a while,and if you must use them get a good heat protector spray,I reccomend Pantene's,it works great!!Hope this helped some!!

Ok guys, here's ,y question! I'm turning 18 soon so I can legally pierce anything I want. When I was 16 I got my belly button pierced on the top. For some reason something went wrong and i got very infected and I had to go to the docotrs n take it out. Now I have a scar there. When I squeeze the scar tissue it hurts. And my doctor said yesterday that it would be difficult to repierce through it. Anyways I guess my question is do u think it would look dumb or hurt if i got it pierced from the bottom??? I heard people say it hurts more but maybe thats just a rumor? Thank You guys so much for your help!!!
Well,I've had my belly button pierced for over 2 years now,and I never had an infection so that part I can't tell you about.But I can tell you that you should really listen to your doc,those infections can be very serious and damaging.Getting it pierced from the bottom doesn't hurt anymore than from the top in my opinion.I had mine pierced from the bottom,and it was a breeze.I've also had my tongue pierced and then re-pierced after I took it out 3 different times!! Speak with the piercing artist at your local shop and see what he/she thinks.They are usually very helpful,they know what they're doing,and they would NOT reccomend you do something that could be dangerous to you and/or your health!!Also,if you do it again,make sure you pick a very clean sterile place!Make sure that they wash their hands,and that you see them bring in all the materials,the needle,the ring or barbell,in their packages.Also be sure that they sterilize everything,and wear their gloves!!:)Write me back and let me know how it goes and what you end up doing!!! :)

Well,I think you are kinda right,it does seem like he's slightly fond of mind games,but maybe not TOTALLY!!First thing,never ever let a guy come between your relationship with your best friend!!That can be disasterous and you'll wind up losing a guy(which will hurt for a while),AND your best friend(which can hurt forever)!!But I would let this guy know that it hurt your feelings to find out that now he's into your best friend.Let him know that you really like him a lot,and you were really hoping that you two would work things out and reconsile,so to hear that he's into your best girl too was a little painful!!Tell him just what you said,that you only broke up with him because he was never around to be with and he never called,which made you feel neglected,and that's not something you want in a relationship.Tell him you don't mean that you wanna rope and tie him,you just want a boyfriend who's actually there!!!!After you let him know all of this,and that you would like to work it out with him,the ball is really in his court.If he continues to beat around the bush and not give you straight answers on things,and talk on about your best friend...I would say it's time to check him off your list!!

I have almost no ones instant messaging address. My mom walked in while i was talking to one of my friends online and saw that i only had ten people on my list. Since i had a different s/n last year i didn't bother getting a lot of people's IM, so she sent me to this counsiling group for teens who can't get along with others. I went to the group once and they said that i just don't want to talk to people. Should i stay in the group, or leave, i don't think i belong in there, but should i give it another day?

Hmm...kinda sounds to me like your mom overreacted a bit!I'm sure she was only looking out for your best interests and well-being,but I really don't think this drastic a step needed to be taken!!Just because you keep a smaller circle of friends doesn't mean your unsociable!LoL Sit your mom down and let her know exactly what you said,that since you switched S/N's you just didn't get around to getting ALL of the names added back onto your new S/N,because that's a very common thing!I've done that 2 or 3 times!!You just lose track of some people's S/N's sometimes!!Let her know that your social life is just fine and that most importantly you are HAPPY!And make sure to remind her that your social life isn't restricted to IM!!Also let her know that the group makes you totally uncomfrotable,and you just don't belong there!!!I think it's time to get back to your normal life,minus the group!!!

My best friend recently confesed to Me and our other friend that she occasionally smokes. Mind you, we're 14. She insists she doesn't "really" inhale, but We're so worried about her. What can I do to convince her not to go further into a life of smoking??!?

Well,I've had a lot of experience with this.My Grandma had heart trouble and eventually passed away from smoking,and my dad had to wait until he had a heartattck when I was 5 to convince him to quit.But that wasn't the end of his troubles,he had a triple bi-pass heart surgery when I was 13.BUT,enough about me!!Remind your friend of all the dangers smoking causes,heart disease,lung cancer,emphyzema,etc.Use me as an example if you want to!Let her know that you care so much about her you don't wanna see her go thru that.And if she doesn't squash this now,she WILL become addicted!!Maybe you can get her to listen if you remind her of how smoking yellows your teeth and fingernails and how the nasty smell gets in your hair and clothes,and that WILL NOT come out!!Remind her that guys don't like to kiss a girl who tastes and smells like an ashtray!!!YUCK!!
