Q: ok, my mum stopped smoking for a good few years now and i was so proud of her but now she's started again because shes under so much pressure (she does an art course at college) it also puts pressure on me and she says she understands that but its something she wants to do and i support that. She said that she will stop smoking at the summer and i was fine with that but ive not to tell anyone thats shes smoking again, but now shes smoking all the time and i feel sick around her but i CANT tell her that. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!! SORRY ITS LONG BUT I RATE VERY HIGH

If you tell her that it hurts you, she will try harder to stop. When you say you feel sick around her, I'm assuming you mean that the smoke is making you sick. That is very serious! Have a talk with her, tell her that if she must smoke it would be nice if she could do it outside so you can't breathe it in. She should understand. All parents should put their children first. Also, opening windows and turning on fans when the room is smoky is a good way to get some fresh air.

Q: I feel a bit awkward using this site.. I've never asked anyone for advice like this before.. I'm a 15 year old male, and I've been with my girlfriend for about 8 months. She works at a pizza shop and is surrounded by other people. A few weeks ago a worker from a different location was transferred to her shop.. She got along very well with him. I saw her that weekend and she seemed a little subdued, I tried to talk to her about it, but she said she was fine.. I tried to call her the following evening, but she didn't pick up her phone, nor her mobile.. I was pretty worried.. and I'm known to be a very worrying and fragile type person..

Anyway, the day after, I called her and found out that she had been at the movies with this guy.. She told me it was as a friend.. but later that night when she went to work, he kissed her.. this really upset me.. And she said she was very sorry and would stop seeing him..

However, one day, the following week, I tried to call her, and she wasn't there.. I stayed up until about 1 or 2 in the morning, calling her, untill she finally picked up.. Having been out with him again.. She is very truthful to me, and said that she was just seeing him as a friend, and didn't tell me because she knew I'd get upset.

She said to me that she loves me, and likes him, but she doesn't know what she wants.. I really can't take being strung along like this.. I'm naturally a very sensitive person, and my music is no longer enough to keep me alive.. I'm not at school, I don't have a job, I have very little to hold me together.. I don't know if I can deal with this.. Can anyone help me?

She's right--she doesn't know what she wants. Back off and give her time to figure it out, and support her decision. You're still young, this is nothing to die over. You will have good and bad relationships in the future, but no matter how bad something is it isn't worth your life.

Sorry that you don't get it. If you read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, you will get it. There is a movie of that book coming out soon that might mention it (I don't see why they wouldn't if the movie is done well). So read the book or watch the movie and then you will understand. This isn't really a problem that you ask people's advice on. This is your homework. Look it up in your physics book and ask your teacher for help.

Q: ok..i stole a bottle of perfume,earings,keychain,lipgloss,2 rings, (this was formyself) i also helped out my friend steal her stuff and she helped me steal mine. I never stole anything before..and im kinda feeling bad now. the stuff i took was probably worth $15 or $20 altogether. is there a way i can make myself feel better and get rid of he guilt..besides returning it. And is it true that people steal stuf until they get caught? because ii dont want to make a habitt out of this. have any of you stolen anything before?

You'll be punished most horribly. You will be banned from the stores, have to do community service, etc. When your school has a field trip, you won't be allowed to go. Police officers will follow you everywhere, you will have no privacy at all. They will constantly be checking you for stolen items. My older cousin got caught shoplifting once, and she spent a year in prison sharing a jail cell with a well known muderer. I'm not making any of this up. My advice is to throw the stuff where nobody can find it. Maybe the town dump. Then be happy you didn't get caught. It is an addiction and even after people get caught they still do it. But if you truly don't want to do it again, if you have enough willpower, you will be able to make sure it doesn't happen again. Maybe avoid stores for a while. You'll probably feel guilty for a long time, but try writing in a diary, listening to angry music, do something religious (this can be something Jewish, something Christian, or just plain going out in a field and getting in touch with Mother Earth. It depends on what religion you like.) Whatever you do, don't tell anyone. You know it was wrong, you know you won't do it again. But everyone else will say, "She stole. She's evil. Let's ruin her life.", and then your life will be ruined. You didn't get caught stealing it, which means that Fate has given you a second chance. Take advantage of it. And yes, I have stolen before, but not anymore. No one ever found out, though, and I turned out fine.

Q: Hi I'm 13 and I have never been very popular and I have never had many friends at school. I was always the straight A student and the goody goody and thats just how I was. But this year I decided to try to make friends. A lot of friends. I started to bend the rules a little bit. Once I found out that I could get away with anything because I was comsidered the good child I just couldn't stop. I became very popular and started not doing my homework. You could have made friends without conforming to other people's expectations of you. Personally, I don't think it's cool to want to be like everybody else. Tell your evil friends that you hate them, and then do your homework.

Q: I've got an issue that i really need someone to help me with.
My boyfriend and I have been dating for 7 months tommrow and I'm going to lose him very soon if I keep up my issue. Whenever I get the slightest bit upset, I get very close to breaking up with him. I few times I actutally did, but he took me back withen seconds. I don't know why I do this, it's really confusing me because I promised myself and him I'd stop. The first time I did this he cried. Yes I know, a guy crying "He must be a pansy", he's not he's affectionate, but just the other week when I did this he just said "Do what you want" and didn't care, at all. I've done this alot and he's begun not to care that I do this anymore because I think he realizes I'm not actually going to follow through with it, but someday I will. I don't want to break up with him, but I get in this tunnel-vison mode where the only way out is out of the relationship. Any advice on why I do this and how to stop.

I think he's playing with you. He's afraid to let you go because of his own insecurities, so he cries to get you to pay attention to him. Just like a baby! I don't think you want to spend the rest of your life with changing your boyfriend's diapers. But apparently he has successfully manipulated your emotions. The fact that he doesn't care when you threaten to break up with him shows that he simply doesn't care about you. It's all about what he wants. Tell him it's over for good. He probably won't believe you, but when he goes to kiss you or hug you or whatever, just tell him, "You're not my boyfriend." It's going to be hard, but keep up! And if he gets violent with you, go to the police.

The guy probably was interested in you at one point and might still be. But he's a guy! Guys at your age are not as mature as the girls. What he wants is completely different than what you want.

Just tell him you like him. It's no big deal.

Like I said, not much of a problem. It will probably happen about 10,000 times more before you graduate high school. So just stop worrying about it and enjoy your life.

That's sexual harassment, which is illegal. Tell him to stop. If he doesn't, you need to tell somebody you trust because this could lead to rape. That's also illegal, by the way. Why do you like this jerk? He's creepy. Next time he touches you, bite him or kick him--it's justifiable because it's self defense. Remember you are not a sexual plaything!!

You do a thing, and then something else. Actually, I think the site does it for you when you fill out your registration. It will say "AIM", and you type your screen name and then it is there. Unless you are talking about links. If that's it, just do my livejournal and remove the stars. If you weren't talking about either of those, sorry, I can't help you. Q: My boyfriend and i broke up a few days ago at school. Right after school that same day i saw him kissing another girl. I know we broke up and everything but how did he get over it that fast? My question is how can i get over someone quickly? Any tips on how to forget about someone?

It will be painful to hear this, but he was probably seeing her the entire time you were going out. He probably told her, "I'll break up with her so I can go out with you." He will most likely do the same thing to her. What a jerk, huh? To get over him, keep telling yourself "He's a jerk and I deserve better!" It's natural to have anti-male thoughts during this time. When I am in a man-hating mood I read Yu Watase's Ayashi no Ceres. It has helped me get over guys in the past and I'm sure you can find something similar that will do that same for you. You deserve so much better than anything that guy could ever give you. Keep thinking this way and you will soon be over him.

The same thing happened to my friend. She was worried about this, but it turned out she wasn't pregnant. Go to a doctor to be sure. And you will probably get your period soon, it might just be a little off because it came at the end of February. The short month thing messes everything up.

Q: I really need some advice.
I am a 15/F ....I have gone out with this one guy about 5 or 6 times (we arent datiing just hooking up). We were introduced by a friend (he's 16) and is (or seems) like a really good guy. My parents are away for the whole weekend and my sister is going to be out tomorrow night and I think this guy is coming over. We have hooked up.. but nothing more then that. I am kind of concerned that something is going to happen that I don't want to happen (i am a virgin). I wouldn't. If you have him over, even if nothing happens, you will spend the time worrying about it. A young girl with no parents at home sounds easy to take advantage of (from the guy's perspective of course). At that age, boys are very immature. I think it would be irresponsible to have him over without your parents, especially if you are concerned. Trust your gut! If he tries to rape you, stop at nothing to defend yourself.
