advice
Is DDR a good way to exercise? lol thankss.
actually yes. it's even been installed in some elementary school PE programs as a great cardiovascular work-out.
it's good for your heart! yay!
I got a 22 on the ACT. Yes, it was my first time. Yes, I know I can take it again. Yes, I know I can take practice tests. I just want to know what other people got on thier ACT their first try. Because in my mind a 22 out of 36 is 61% and that isn't very good.
the first time I took it two years ago I got a 24. last time (April 2006) I took it in an invalid testing zone and still ended up with a 28. on every practice test I took between that April and June I got between 30 and 35. my overall goal for the last time I took it was a 32 and I'll find out just how I did in about two weeks.
I, however, am not typical at all.
a 22 is actually good even though it seems like you only got 61%. within each section there are some questions that are worth more than others. in the writing section the rhetorical skills questions are worth more than basic grammar. I would consider obtaining my test booklet if you still can just to look over what types of questions you got wrong. if you're really into it, consider taking tons of practice exams and retaking it. really though, a 22 is good.

i wanna know all the jeans style and what do they mean like petite what does that mean and if u know any more jean style tell me what they are
rise (where the top of the jean hits) styles:
at the waist- the "rise" of the jean (or pant) hits you at the belly button. it's very 70s to wear your pants that high.
just below- about an inch below the belly button.
low rise- two to four inches below the belly button.
ultra low rise- usually not much lower than low rise. they tend to just be more expensive.
bottom styles:
flare and boot cut have been taken care of.
trouser cut- usually these are cut like a dress-pant. they tend to flare out from the waist down.
skinny or drainpipe cut- they taper the whole way, often they really really taper.
several companies like express just repackage combination styles under new names to charge more.
length:
petite: tends to be shorter. in addition the knee will hit higher than on most other pants.
average (or regular), tall (or long), and ankle (or short) vary by store.
I am going to a big concert tomorrow at the Madejski Stadium in Reading, England. My problem is that 28, 000 people are going and the weather is forcast to be incredibly hot tomorrow. You are not allowed to bring your own food and drink into the stadium and I'm worried that I'll pass out or something from dehydration. They do sell their own refreshments but as 28, 000 people will all want water, it's going to be difficult. Is there some sort of special circumstances where you are permitted to bring your own water into the stadium in hot weather? If not, has anyone been in this situation before and know how to get round it?
last march I saw Belle & Sebastian in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. the tickets said "absolutely no cameras" but they ended up letting them in because B&S said it was okay. a ton of people brought their own water and cameras and other contraband items and were not checked.
so. take your water in sealed bottles. if they find them they'll take them; if they don't you avoid costly beverages at the concert. if they do find your water they'll likely just confiscate it and give you a warning. you won't get kicked out if it's just water, but do make sure you have factory-sealed bottles.

k i wanna know how to keep my clothes from not shrinking when i wash/dry them. i buy like cute clothes and then like a month later they begin to like get a little smaller and its not becuz im growin if u have anything tell me.
two solutions:
1. use cold water and cold water detergents and never dry them by machine.
2. buy more expensive clothes. typically, the better quality garments have had all of their fabric pre-shrunk because manufacturers care for their consumers.
an extra note: denim typically shrinks after every washing no matter what, but it softens as it's worn. by wearing jeans until they become "too loose" you prolong the life of your denim because less bleach from detergents hits the pants. less bleach comes in contact with the fibers and they don't deteriorate as fast. bottom line: don't wash your jeans as often as other clothes.
Hey!
Is there a way to print you screen on a Macbook. I dont see any similar button except for maybe F7.Anyone Know how to do it?
command + shift + 3 will copy the entire screen.
command + shift + 4 will turn your cursor into cross-hairs and you can take a small segment of the screen.
command + shift + 4 + space bar will let you copy a single window.
all of these will automatically save a pdf file of the screen-shot to your desktop. adding control to the mix of any of them sends it to your clipboard for use later.
Okay, does anyone know if they still sell Mini Ipods? & if so, for how much? Or atleast if they do.. & if nanos are better.. i hear they break easily. I'm getting one for my birthday. & I'd like to know which ones better. Thanks!
the apple refurbished store sells slightly-used but completely workable (and cheaper) iPod minis. the refurbished store is rarely heard of except by mac-addicts, but it's a great place for discounted merchandise.
Okay. My question is, does anyone know who sings that song that goes like.. "Just leave your name & numba & imma holla at cha" or another part is.."why you tryin to diss me when i just wanna kiss you" & so on. I think her name is Paula .. but I don't know the last. So if you know her name & the song, or just her name or just the song. PLEASE tell me. Or even if you think you know it.. just tell me. I really wanna know. THANKS.! =)
you should consider asking google. he knows a whole lot.
Is it out of line to correct somebody who you know is wrong in your answer? For example, say the question is "should I keep my pony?" and another person replies "no because a pony is a baby horse so you won't go as far on him", is it out of line to say "Actually, a pony is just a horse who is under 14.2 hh" blah, blah, blah?
you should definitely do it. when I ask a question and don't get an answer that exactly fits my question I rate it down and offer suggestions in the feedback. it helps the site become better for people with honest serious questions. if it's the wrong information in an answer, then you didn't get an answer and it shouldn't get a four or five.
I have a 12 year-old sister. I made her a myspace a while back and made it private. She didnt know how to do anything on myspace. Well now shes almost 13 and she is completely addicted to myspace. More addicted to it then anyone of us i bet. She has atleast 5 myspaces of famous people that she made and is pretending to be them and telling everyone she is&& she talks to every single one of the people that Message her. I have told her manny times that she will end up talking to the Wrong person&& he will seriously hurt her.I told her that she has to be atleast 16 to be able to have a myspace and talk to people that are not her friends. She doesnt care. I have blocked myspace && she found away around it. I have told my parents and they tell her not to get on it. She pretty much tells them im not or screw off. She has no respect for anybody in my family and moesnt care what anyone tells her. Myspace has caused her to spend endless hours on the computer. SHe is on from the Second she wakes up to the second she goes to bed. And she will pretend to go to bed and then when everyone in the house is a sleep she will wake up and get on the computer. No matter the time of day. We have a password on the computer but she found it out By watching what my dad typed in.
Im sorry this is long but she needs help.
Please dont just say talk to herand tellher what will happen if she talks to the wrong person. Again she doesnt care.
&& if i tell my parents that she wakes up and gets on she will say no i don't even tho they believe me she doesnt get into any trouble. We usedto have this rule only 30 minutes on the computer at a time but she doesnt go by it but if say i was on the computer and she wanted on she would say kim you have been on for 30 minutes your turn is over.
Yea not cool.
Any answers or advice is wonderful.
talk to your parents again. if they don't need to use the computer when they're home ask them if it would be alright to get rid of it for some time. viruses, hard-disc failure, etc. are all good excuses to give your sister for the computer being gone. you can also talk to your parents about sending her to a camp without modern conveniences or going on vacation to somewhere fun or enrolling her in summer classes. she's going onto myspace because she has nothing better to do. once you create an outlet that's more fun than myspace she'll stop and do the more interesting activity, but it'll take time and drastic measures.
edited with more information in the feedback: discuss your concern with your parents and explain to them that your sister absolutely must go and do something outside the house and away from the computer. moving the computer to a room that can be locked by your parents during the day and opened for a half-hour every night for your sister's use or having your parents use public computers for their classes are both viable options. YOU, as well, need to set a good example by using less of the computer for a little while and encouraging her to take up a hobby (which you'll take up first). do something together.
I was just away all weekend camping with some of my old and new est friends and I got about 50 misquito bites just on my legs. They itch like nobody's bussiness but I don't want to itch them. Does anybody have any remedies for itchiness that actually work? I've already tried the ice cube and rubbing alcohol (as suggested by friends) and, while they work, they hurt lie crazy!
Also, does anybody have any ways to avoid being bitten? I'm not sure if its possible because I wore long pants and a TON of insect repellent, but I'm going back to camp (but a different one) for two weeks in the middle of the summer and don't want to be itchy the whole time!
a lot of the same remedies for sunburn itch work for mosquito itch. aloe vera gel, unscented lotion, cold showers. the trick is not to scratch them ever. they'll heal faster and cleaner and won't itch so much.
to avoid being bitten stay inside around dusk and early in the morning. if you have to be outside wear a deep-woods repellent and thick long pants that meet your shoes. make sure there's no gaps between the two so that the bugs can't get in. also, make sure there aren't mosquitoes inside when you go to bed and tuck your pajama pants into your socks just in case. wear an unscented deodorant, no make-up, and no perfumes/colognes. try not to use heavily scented soaps or shampoos and rinse well before leaving the shower.
im not christian but my gf is, and i would like to know. in the christian religion does the no sex before marriage include oral sex?
technically speaking, all acts of sodomy are always sins. sodomy includes any sexual act that cannot produce children.
i just got a laptop for graduation, and i got itunes on it, but i cant transfer my music to it. i plugged my ipod in, but then when it says to transfer the music, it deletes my library on my ipod cus the library is blank on the laptop. its pointless to have my laptop without music on it, cus i wont use it much. my friend told me to download "ipodcopy" which is supposed to help you transfer songs, but it didnt work for me. i can play music with my ipod plugged, in, but i cant have my ipod plugged in the whole time. please actually tell me how to get music on, instead of just saying keep your ipod plugged in. thanks a lot.
I've had a lot of luck using Senuti for that sort of thing. try googling to find it. it's free and easy to use.

hi recently, i purchased johnsons anti mite POWDER. now i was just wandering if i could mix some of it with water, and then spray it on the budgie, seeing how its hard to put it on the budgie. thanks in advance. :)
do budgies do that thing where they bathe themselves in dirt by rolling around? if so, it's probably good to put the powder in the dirt he bathes in and just wait for him to do so. I would consult a vet before mixing the powder with water.
is it true that if you charge your cell for a certain amount of time ..then it wont be able to charge ever again? and is it the same with ipods? because my friends ipod cant charge cause she said she has charged it for a certain amount of time.. i was just wondering if this was true or not for the cell phone..
and i have the razor one from cingular if that helps
rechargeable batteries can't hold a charge after a certain amount of activity. they deteriorate slower than normal batteries, but they do detiorate. last year my iPod could hold a full 18 hour charge and now I get about 10 if I just play music. when it gets down to less than five hours I'll probably buy a new battery and have it installed.
ALL rechargeable batteries deteriorate. lithium ion batteries (like in the iPods) are best used in short bursts with frequent rechargings. most phones run on NiCad (Nickel-Cadmium) batteries which are better to run down then recharge fully (not every day).
I'm a little bit confused about something.
I heard that tea is a diuretic (makes you need to pee a lot) but that it also dehydrates you.
Now, if you need to drink a lot so that your body excretes toxins from your body and tea helps you to wee a lot, does it help more to get toxins out of your body or does it not flush anything out because it goes through you so quickly?
Sorry if that doesn't make much sense but I'm trying to be a bit healthier so I'm wondering how good tea is for you.
Also, are there any health benefits to drinking tea?
green teas remove toxins from your blood stream if drunk regularly enough. I'm not certain about the benefits of teas in general, but I've never heard them called diurhetics and they definitely don't dehydrate you. the greatest benefit of tea is that it can replace coffee for some people in the morning, but it doesn't contain caffeine.
i dont know the name of the song or which group sings it.. its a black men group and its an old song it goes like.. "let me take you up and down.."
and then something like "let me do all the things you wanna do"
does anyone know this song!?!?
it's called "Google" by "Enter All of the Words You Know Into the Search Bar + I'm Feeling Lucky."
possibly the best subject ever for a question.
My sister shaved our dog today as he's a labradoodle and has a fairly thick coat, that was just getting unbearable for him in the heat. However, my sister being the person that she is, didn't read any of the instructions, and did it while no one was home. Now my poor puppy is stuck with a bad case of razor burn. He's been scratching at it, and I was wondering if there was anything I could use to help soothe his skin. I've looked at the pet store and most of the skin care seems centred around fleas, so is there anything I can make at home, or a people lotion that is gentle enough to use on him?
do NOT use products made for humans on your dog. do not use anything that contains a lot of chemicals that he might want to eat. an oatmeal bath seems relatively reasonable, but CALL THE VET before you do anything.
I want to get a job at Starbucks but don't know where to start. I am 16 and I printed out the application. Do I have to have previous experience? It's a catch-22, isn't it?
Also, any tips if you've previously worked for them?
if you want to work at starbucks just because of the coffee aspect you should consider other coffee houses. nearly every town has a local coffee house, sometimes several. that way you have more options if starbucks turns you down on previous experience or age. "mom and pop" venues have a lot fewer rules in that regard because everyone wants to work for starbucks or seattle's best just because they're more popular.
