I am going to a big concert tomorrow at the Madejski Stadium in Reading, England. My problem is that 28, 000 people are going and the weather is forcast to be incredibly hot tomorrow. You are not allowed to bring your own food and drink into the stadium and I'm worried that I'll pass out or something from dehydration. They do sell their own refreshments but as 28, 000 people will all want water, it's going to be difficult. Is there some sort of special circumstances where you are permitted to bring your own water into the stadium in hot weather? If not, has anyone been in this situation before and know how to get round it?

Belladonna answered Sunday July 2 2006, 10:31 pm: The same thing happened to me at the Oasis concert I went to last year. I had brought some water and a can of Red Bull not knowing you weren't allowed to, and they made me leave them at the front saying if I wanted water or whatnot I had to purchase it inside. But then I saw Green Day at a huge stadium and my bag didn't get checked at all. I'm certain though that there'll be enough places for you to buy refreshments. Make sure you get in there early and buy plenty of bottles of water right at the beginning, to last you throughout the concert. It's unlikely that you'll want to get up during the concert and buy water. Or just go and buy them when the support act is on. Get in there quick and you'll be fine. I found I didn't have to wait long when I went really early and bought them from the stand. You could try sneaking some in by putting it under the bottom of the bag, but that's up to you. If they check your bag, they'll confiscate it. I'm not sure they're going to let you bring your own water just because its warm weather. You could say that you must have water under doctor's orders but I'm not sure if they'll believe that either. The bouncers can be really strict about that kind of thing. I tried reasoning with them by telling them I hadn't brought any extra money to buy drinks but they wouldn't listen. It's worth a try though if you can think of a believable enough reason for you to bring your own water out of necessity.

Almost every place like that does not allow you to bring your own food and water. So they should be ready && able too get around to everyone that needs water. [ babiigirl's advice column | Ask babiigirl A Question ]

If you want some sort of illness to help you get around it... i'm not sure, you could make something up. they'll be 28,000 people...what are they gonna do about it? <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
Moop answered Sunday July 2 2006, 6:49 pm: last march I saw Belle & Sebastian in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. the tickets said "absolutely no cameras" but they ended up letting them in because B&S said it was okay. a ton of people brought their own water and cameras and other contraband items and were not checked.
so. take your water in sealed bottles. if they find them they'll take them; if they don't you avoid costly beverages at the concert. if they do find your water they'll likely just confiscate it and give you a warning. you won't get kicked out if it's just water, but do make sure you have factory-sealed bottles. LoveToLaugh37 answered Sunday July 2 2006, 5:43 pm: Whoa that's soo stupid!! Do they check your bag before you get in? If they don'tjust hide some food in like a big purse or something you know? Or bring a cooler of ice, that's not food or water, it's just sometihgn to cool off with. (That could be too risky, though.) Are you going with a guy? Guys have big pockets in they're shorts where you can put water bottles and stuff..uh... let's see...you can bring like an ice pack (pick one up at a grocery store or something..sorry I don't know the grocery stores in england!! haha.) If you aren't worried about lying or something you could just say that like you have a condition where you need to get dehydrated every 30 minutes.
You really need to compain to the Madejski about bringing your own food because that's just so gay.
