ACT SCORE

Question Posted Monday July 3 2006, 3:24 pm

I got a 22 on the ACT. Yes, it was my first time. Yes, I know I can take it again. Yes, I know I can take practice tests. I just want to know what other people got on thier ACT their first try. Because in my mind a 22 out of 36 is 61% and that isn't very good.

the first time I took it two years ago I got a 24. last time (April 2006) I took it in an invalid testing zone and still ended up with a 28. on every practice test I took between that April and June I got between 30 and 35. my overall goal for the last time I took it was a 32 and I'll find out just how I did in about two weeks.

I, however, am not typical at all.

a 22 is actually good even though it seems like you only got 61%. within each section there are some questions that are worth more than others. in the writing section the rhetorical skills questions are worth more than basic grammar. I would consider obtaining my test booklet if you still can just to look over what types of questions you got wrong. if you're really into it, consider taking tons of practice exams and retaking it. really though, a 22 is good.

Well, I haven't taken it yet because I'm not at the age/grade where I need to but my older sister got a 27. I can also tell you that the average for Havard entrees is 32-36 and New York University is 28-32.
