Hi my name is Lee Ann. I am 29 years old and Graduated from Bethany college obtaining a bachelors of music. I am a happily married woman with two kids, ages3 and 2. I currently have six books out on the market, all of which can be found on amazon. I started this advice column to see if I could give good advice. Turns out I am pretty good, better than I thought actually. I enjoy seeing people smile when I give them good advice and they use it. Back in May (last month I guess you can say), I applied and had an interview with this job. I really would love working there, but I was not chosen as a candidate for the position, since of course they found better candidates.

Well I just saw they posted an ad on the internet about looking for more employees for the same position and company. I have much interest in working there (since having experience in the field), and I love their work environment.. so is it possible I could contact them again and see if they can give me a second chance?

Absolutely, it shows that you are committed to something. They will most likely contact you again because the same thing happened to me. I couldn't get into a management position at Family Dollar the first time because they found someone more qualified. Well, that manager quit so I applied again. They gave me another interview and I got the job. I eventually quit but the point is that they really like dedication. Applying again would definitely tip in your favor.

This is the honest truth. A guy who is immature, picks one girl he can fall back on at all times while he has flings with others. If the fling doesn't work out he can always go back to who he had originally. If he is a true player, he will always call you baby or sweety so he can't mix up your names. They are afraid of a real commitment but they tell you what you want to hear so they can keep you. They do this because they always need a fall back person.

ok so i have been friends and a little more than friends with this girl. for like 7 to 8 years. we have talked about dating but for some odd reason things always get in the way... right now i am in college and i see her on the weekends. which is great but its not enough time to spend with her and build a solid boyfriend / girlfriend relationship. i was offered a management position at a very well known company but the problem is that she doesn't want me to take it because then we wont see each other at all!!! a part of me wants to take the job but then the other part of me is saying that she means way too much to me to not see her... tell me what would you do if you were in my situation???

It is obvious that she loves you but she is afraid to express it. To be honest, they are other jobs but love is something that takes a while to get. Hi i have been working at my current job for over a year now. I am entitled to 3 weeks vacation time. I scheduled time in April but we got very short staffed and my boss made me work during my time that was aready approved. Now I need a week off in july. I open the building where i work and there is only one more person with the alarm, i am starting shool in Spetember and really want this time off. they don't want to give it to me. What are my rights. Can i just call in sick or something or can they fire me. Can i write up a request for the days off and just not go. i don't want to be fired. But i am going on this trip (CUBA) no matter what. What should i do. Btw what resort do you reccomend in varadero???

It depends on your contract, if it says that you can be fired without proper cause then they are entitled to fire you for anything. You could miss one day or where the wrong outfit and legally they have a right to fire you. Check the contract you signed, if you still have it, and see what it says. If it doesn't say anything then you are free to call off.

If I'm not sexually active, can I just get the pill from my doctor without having to do a pap smear?
Also, if you start taking the pill, can you decide what week you have your period?

They gave me the pill without having to do any tests so they should do the same for you. They are required to meet your needs without doing anything against your consent. If you don't want that test, they can't make you. You can't decide what week your period will be but it will help regulate it so you know when to expect it. It takes about 8-12 weeks before your period is regulated after taking the pills.

ok so this is REALLY embarrassing for me to ask, so pardon me if this is akward.

I masterbate at night in my bed and recently i've noticed a sweat stain start to form on my mattress. I am freaking out here because my parents don't know i do this sort of stuff and if they saw the sweat stain they'd get suspicious and ask me questions and it would just be SOOO akward. so my question here is... how do i get rid of this sweat stain ASAP!! i have a twin size bed and the stain is fairly large, and i'm on summer break now so i have some time home alone so that way i can get rid of it.

If it is white, I would suggest using bleach to get out the stain, then putting it in the washer. If it is colored, I would get regular soap and a sponge to wash and rinse it. Then put the sheets in the washer/dryer. Purex is probably the best kind of liquid that you could use both for colored and plain white sheets, etc.

I'd really appreciate it if someone helped me out... i am trying to find an answer to my dilemma...

i am very healthy... i haven't gotten sick in 8 years! not a cold... and generally my intuition is pretty good in deciphering my body needs... so i regularly know when i need to do what. if i don't sleep for 3 days or so i can manage if i slept over the weekend. i usually tend to eat the stuff that i crave that i know i need... for instance the other day i was craving apricots and lobster... weird i know! but i checked and both had vitamin A which is good for your eye.. and lately i've been over exhausting them with studying... so you see i usually tend to know what i want.... howeverrrr my problem is my diet... i want to lose about 30lbs since i am 155 and only 5'4.... everytime i go on one no matter how healthy for me i start craving things that are super bad for me (mostly other healthy stuff which aren't in the diet! and sometimes carbs cause i lack the energy :() i start to sleep alot and lose focus instead of weight... my dietitian say that 155 IS MY NORMAL WEIGHT and my body is functioning perfectly fine with it and my immune system is superb! i am depressed and I've been to my family doctor and he says the same thing! what should i do??? i swim daily and i horse ride every other day, so if you want to suggest exercise as a solution then please don't post because after two posts my question won't show on right column of this website....

For sure dieting isn't the way to go and exercising helps but it is what your doing that is the problem. You see when your stressed over tests, homework, even friends, etc you lose control and tend to feel really weird. This is why your doctors say it is completely natural. There is a diet that works really well and it is called weight watchers. This is a diet that focuses more on quantity rather than what is bad/good. You will be able to lose the weight you want and still eat the same things, just not as much. They have websites you can go to and see where the nearest is for you. Also trying to find somethign that calms your nerves and helps you relax would help alot as well. For example, when I am really stressed I like to either write books or play music. It is a way for me to express myself in a healthy way. This can range from cooking, sports, music, writing, scrapbooking, martial arts, etc. It will definitely help out to try each one of these things.

Yes if you go to Bath and Body Works their scented body washes take the smell right out. I have the same problem because I prefer nair over razors. I recommend irrisistable apple because it has the strongest scent and it smells really good. It costs around 8 dollars and it lasts me a couple of months because I am the only one who uses it.

Sex Therapy is a form of psychology so most likely you would have to take courses dealing with psychology and probably education ones as well like when you took courses in middle and high school about sex education. You are helping couples with their relationship intimately so you need to know about the different behaviors of individuals. If you visit campuses they will point you in the right direction and tell you exactly what courses to take and how long it will take for you to finish.

Pay attention to their percentage, if it is between 96-100% then it is safe to buy with a credit card. If it turns out that you don't recieve your merchandise they will give your money back because they can track the item. Ebay is really reliable so far for me, its the percentage of the people you have to watch for. Also pay attention to the condition of the computer, if it is used like new then it should be alright. Read the description and make sure there is nothing wrong with it. I wouldn't waste my money on a new one if you can buy one that is like new.

Well, the guy I really care for(Joey) dated my friend(Tay), she wasn't right for him at all. At the beginning he dated me than,he started liking my friend and they both backstabbed me and went out. I warned him about my friend she liked other guys when they went out, and she asked someone out WHILE dating Joey. The other day she broke up with him, because she likes someone else and she asked him out. Joey was devastated and was really sorry for not believing me.Now, everything I predicted that would happen, HAPPENED It make me feel awful. Well, Joey asked me to go to the movies with him yesterday. (I don't know as a friend or as a date)I couldn't come because my mom would like to come , and she was working. So, my mom said maybe this weekend and joey agreed to that. He also told me that my family should come over to his house for a cookout sometime, so our family can meet.Well, I really like him. I'm not sure if he's starting to like me or if I'm just a best friend? He feels comfortable with you and trusts you completely now. He may still like his ex but it definitely seems like your relationship will develop into something bigger eventually. Like you said, "give it time" and it will happen. He will realize that the perfect person for him was standing right next to him the whole time. Hi i have been having issues with my computer lately. Whenever i open internet explorer a ton of them pop open uncontrollably. So i go to task manager-process-right click and click end tree process and that takes care of it. I ran my virus program (avast and norton) and i dont have a virus. Im not sure what type of computer i have. =/ sorry. All i know is that its slow and a bit older but does have windows XP. Anything would help! Thanks alot!

The best thing to do is to start fresh by wiping out everything on your computer. Excessive downloading whether music, videos, sheet music, files, etc this can cause the computer to be slower. You could say that the virus is embedded inside your software so the only way to get rid of it is by wiping your computer clean.

I am planning to sign up for the army in a week or two and I was just wondering what is it like at boot camp and after you get deployed? Espeically being female im curious how it is for females? Is it the same experince as a male or what am I to expect. I really want to get more research done before I sign myself up but i can't seem to find too much information on-line... I am not going to lie to you but it is nothing you will have ever experienced. Boot camp is probably the easiest thing you will do compared to the real life situation. They test your skills in speed, accuracy, how easily you are swayed, etc There is one test that most people find horrifying. When you are captured, there is a possibility that they will torture you. The test involves some sort of acid that can burn your skin. My cousin said that it took 2 layers of skin off of her face. When she came back from Iraq she continously had nightmares, never slept, and was never the same again. Killing people is definitely not what she expected. If you have a strong will, no fears, and can take on anything then sign up.

well i wrote this message to Emo and it said that i was sorry that it seemed like i avoided him on Sunday when i last saw him and that i just didn't know what to expect... and that i miss him and still love him and i told him to take care of himself and stop getting hurt (he tore his ACL so he had to get surgery and so when i saw him 6/7/09 he had a leg brace on)(he lives half way across the state and is comin back in July) anyways he wrote back and his exact words were:

It is definitely good that you realized that he was trying to control the relationship and you really want to do something about it. Showing him that you are a desirable woman will definitely change his perspective. If you guys go out and you find someone to flirt with you, it may open his eyes a little if he sees it for himself. Don't let him make decisions for you but make them yourself. For example, if he asks where do you want to go out tonight, don't say anywhere you want to or i don't know; you have to take control by picking a place. If yu show that you are independent and don't need by showing him you can live without him, he will not take advantage of the situation.

My boyfriend is in the military, and he's coming home for a short leave in a couple of weeks. I was thinking that since his birthday is in a couple of months, and he hasn't been around to celebrate it with his friends since high school, I'd throw him a surprise party.

Here's the catch: I've never planned a party on my own before!

I know I need to get a hold of his friends, which I should be able to do through Facebook, but I've got some other issues. There will be about 20 people at the party.

1) What kind of food should I prepare, and how much? I'd like to go a little bit beyond just pizza. We do have a barbecue (but a small backyard), so that is an option.

2) Alcohol: how much should I plan on purchasing? The guys aren't exactly heavy drinkers, but I'm a one beer kinda girl, so I have no clue.

3) Activities? I don't want to make them play spin-the-bottle or anything lame. We have a few gaming systems and everyone attending is a gamer, so I thought that we could have a multiplayer going on there, but that's only 4 people at a time. I don't want people getting bored.

For sure have doritos, cheetos, pop like mountain dew, dr pepper, pepsi. IT would be great to have a local band to play at the party and also if they like video games, guitar hero and singstar definitely fit the bill. I would but enough beer and alcohol to be safe for someone to be able to have about 4 on their own. You may have some left over because not everyone drinks that much but at least you would have some left over. If you ask his friends they probably would know a good band and you wouldn't have to spend more than 20 dollars to get them to play. I wouldn't buy a cake but maybe a cookie because boys love chocolate and cookies.

There is nothing wrong with liking mostly slow songs. There people I know including me prefer slow songs compared to everything else. There is just something about them that hypnotizes people.

The best kind of gift is to throw a party but have entertainment like having local bands play at it. You could probably pay a local band that is good 20 dollars to play at a birthday party. That way you guys can dance, hang out, and do something crazy. Even if the party was in the woods or something for a bon fire.

so its the summer, and i love to go swimming but every time i do the chlorine makes my hair dry... like no matter how quick i wash my hair it just looks dry the next couple of days. and then there are sometimes that i cant wash the chlorine out of my hair for a couple of hours

so does anyone know of a product (id really like a leave in conditioner) that can keep my hair from drying out if i cant wash it after swimming for a while AND like a shampoo for when i wash it out.

The best type of shampoo and conditioner you can buy is one that puts oils into your hair. Examples would be tresamee, vo5, suave. it should be for dry scalp or hair, so when you go swimming and the chlorine dries your hair up, you have the oils to put back in it. These can be found in any family dollar store or even walmart.

It really depends on the type of guy you are hanging out with. For example if it is an athlete or someone who is outgoing, they love to take charge. If you have someone who is shy, doesn't talk much, gentlemen, they would be open to suggestions. If the athlete is very sensitive and likes you alot, you have the ability to sway them. If you mean by using your feminine charm to sway a guy into doing something then yeah anyone would like that.
