My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.


My favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I love to be crazy and have a good time

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships


I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age


and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

if i had sex about 2 weeks ago i wouldn't know if i was pregnant yet right? because ever since then i've had to go to the bathroom a lot and i don't think it's a blatter infection but i like hurt really bad and stuff and i think i have to go to the doctors but i couldn't possibly be pregnant could i? we used a condom

you can tell at 2 weeks yes by a blood test by your doctor or you can just "know" but most pregnancy tests will come up as negative at this point. and even when condoms are used correctly there is still a chance and i am guessing you are in your teens which means chances are the condom wasn't used 100% corectly creating an even bigger chance of pregnancy

I got my pallad expander on almost 2 weeks ago and whenever I move my tounge around my mouth the pallad expanders moves and goes up and down and its not in secure place. Is that normal or should I get it checked?

mine was in there extremely tight and didnt move an inch... chances are the cement that is holding it to your teeth is coming off.. stop playing with it and get to the ortho as soon as possible

kjhglksdjfh does anyone know how to get rid of shin splints? i've been icing and resting and streching for about a week and it won't go away!

thats about all you can do.. chances are you aren't staying off of your feet enough. and you cannot run at all period. if you are worried go to a doctor and they will prob. refer you to a physical therapist who can help you with stretches

I cried alot today with my contacts in. Now they are fuzzy. I can still see, but it's a little fuzzy. Should I change them? And why did it do this?

i would just take them out for a few hours.. they are dry and just need rehydated.. if you don't hate that time use hydrating drops in the mean time

i got REALLY cute ones at body central for $8 because they were having a half off sale. Also there is a store called bondidinos or something along those lines that has very nice expensive heels for around $30. also they have heels for say homecoming at payless if that is more what you are looking for

Is it true that if you drink alcohol on a regular basis- say, 2 times a week.. that ur body can handle more than someone who drinks only once every two weeks?

it all depends, if both people are the same sex, same height and same weight then for the most part that is true, although some people naturally have more tolerance than others making it possibly not true. Also you have to define what a regular basis is. If its only for a month then no they should handle about the same, but if its like a year then sure thf first person can handle more

Hey iam 17 years old and i just got a puppy for my b-day last week and he cries every night and my mom just had to go and put his cage outside my bedroom window and her cries are so loud that it keeps me up at night and I practically fall asleep in school what should I do?

let him sleep with you.. and if he isnt potty trained let his cage in your room... thats what i did although my dog was trained when we got her at 7 weeks last year. also put the radio on low for him so he doesn't feel alone and make sure he has alot of toys and food. its going to be rough i mean think about it he is a baby and just left his mom and his siblings how would you feel?

so my school just recently got a pool and a swim team. I joined the swim team beacuse i thought it would be a good work out.

i was just wondering if there are any of peices of equipment i might need, could use...besides the obvious swimsuit, cap and goggles?

nope that is about it besides like a towel and a duffle bag to carry all of your stuff. I would also have an extra cap and goggles. If you are intested in doing extra work out stuff a medicine ball would be nice to have at home to strengthin you arms.

the swim team is nice because you really don't need a whole lot.. i was a swimmer for 5 years.

someone mentioned baby powder.. i really didn't like that cause it was hard to get out of your hair

but silocone caps are great because they don't hurt as much but only use those for practice

i have to buy my own phone because my family is in really bad debt and i want to get a razr really bad. i am getting it from t-mobile for $50..but i only get $12 a week and it would take me about a month to get it (without taking any allowance) is there a way to get 50 dollars in maybe 2 weeks besides babysitting? thanks a lot in advance.

its going to cost you more than $50. at t-mobile there is atleast a $35 activation fee plus a $100 warranty fee and what not.

but anyways try mowing lawns collecting mail for neighbors on vacation, get loans from grandma do xtra house work etc

My husband and I have never really been to close since we got married, mostly because I'm starting to find him boring and inconsiderate. While I was his girlfriend, I was a lover. Now that I'm his wife, I'm his slave. Anyway, he's has in the army and away from home for the past year. I got lonely so I started hanging out with some friends (both guys & girls mixed). I ended up starting a semi-romantic relationship with a man who had just lost his wife during her labor. So I helped him with his daughter and we just leaned on each other for support. Then my husband came home unexpected one day and caught us sharing one of the few kisses we've ever had together. So now my husband is fuming and wants a divorce, plus, he thinks the man's daughter is my child! He won't believe a word anyone says! Do I just divorce him and take it as a blessing in disguise, setting me free, or what?

first i would try counceling and see if you can work out your differnces and get things straightened out because it seems like niether of you are happy. Then if all fails i would get a divorce, its not worth wasting your life if you aren't happy with him

If you are 16 years old and live in New York and get pregnant, what are your options of getting rid of the baby with out your parents knowing? Any help is greatly appreciated.

there really aren't any. abortion tech. is illegal without parents consent anywhere if you are under 18(although some places still do it) also if you are only a week or two along there is also the morning after pill. Either way it is best for your parents to know because there are often side effects to abortion that your parents have to know about.

Can you get aids from kissing someone. I know its usually passed on by blood but what about saliva?

saliva nope.. unless there is blood in it, but you can get aids from kissing them if they have a cut on their lip so be careful

Can stores have surveillance cameras in changerooms? Like right in the stalls where you change? Would they be monitored?

i work at sears and we do have surveillance cameras in our changing room.. they don't moniter inside the room or anything unless they have been fallowing someone over the store and they know they are trying to steal. The acually stalls don't have cameras in them but they can direct them in there as i said but they don't do that unless they are 100% sure you are stealing something expensive

I was just wondering what do you think would be an appropriate age to start dating?

i think it all depends on the person. I think once you enter highschool is when you can start dating but no serious relationships or like anything beyond kissing till atleast 16 .

why isn't it healthy to wash your hair everyday?? i do that and i dont see anything wrong with my hair. i'm just womdering

you aren't suppose to shampoo your hair everyday.. it really damages it.. i mean i do and check out my hair its totally fried. but you can wash it with water then condition it. That is totally fine

14/f. i'm going into 9th grade, which at my school is still in middle school. now i have two questions:

1)is it easier to buy 1 large 3" binder for all five of my academic classes, or two colored 1.5" binders (one for my three morning classes and one for my two afternoon classes). i just need a first hand experience here. will two binders get too confusing?

2) i want to decorate the front of my binder(s). i'm going to get the type of binders that have that clear pocket on the front of the binder that you can slide a piece of paper into. i want to cut out things from magazines but i don't know what to cut out things that i won't like half way through the year. i thought of cutting out store names and things but i need more!

any input will help me A LOT!

1) i would get the max amount of binders you can get because the less subjects that are in them the less confusing they are

3)i would get pictures you your friends and put them on there with funny quotes from magazines and stickers and what not. that is what my friend did and it looked cute

can yoga help me lose weight??

yes yoga is a very good exercise for losing weight. especially if you are older or have a hard time doing traditional exercises. Although there are better things than yoga, yoga speeds up your matabolism and calms your mind and body making yourself less stressed and inreturn healthier overall

this year money is tight {i think} my dad put off school supplies till the last second and he only gave me 20$ i need a new backpack cuz he made me get rid of my old ones but i also need like paper pens nd everything to i dont no waht to do i cant ask for more he will get mad but i cant get my stuff with only 20$ he didnt give me any money for clothes or shoes so now i get to go to school with shoes that are falling apart and jeans to small for me and we jusy moved too so i need to make friends but i will look like a loser with no backpack or new shoes and lod clothes that are praticaly to small i need money but i have no way of etting it there is no one to babysit and i am only 13 and get cant a job and i need a haircut as well like bad so how can i get my neccesities it is too late to get stuff from the salavotion army

at sears we have bookbags for as low as $12 which is about the best deal around and some of them come with supplies in them for $12. As for the haircut i would find a friend to just trim it. You really can't get a hair cut and otherstuff for that kind of money. Also for clothes i would check out your local newspaper. I often see people selling large bags of juniors clothes barely warn for $20.

There really isn't advice anyone can give you because $20 can't really get you anywhere. What i would recommend is go to a relative and ask if you can do like yardwork for them for money or whatnot. And a bookbag isnt that big of a deal. No one at my school has really used one since 4th grade so its not a big deal. usually only the really dorky kids have them in my school. So you are fine.

Also check out ebay. You may able to get a large box of clothes cheap. you just have to watchout because shipping is expensive

also check out the dollar store. They have big packs of pens paper and what not for a dollar. Maybe have a garage sale at your house to get rid of your old stuff?

i want to get my cartiledge pierced. does it hurt more than getting your ears pierced? and like idk just tell me what it is like and what i should know. also for girls does it matter what ear? thansks

the piercing part doesn't hurt but it hurts for up to 2 monthes after when you lay on it when you sleep. it was really painful but i just slept on the other side.

for guys the right ear means you are gay but for girls it doesn't matter. I got my right ear done.
