i want to get my cartiledge pierced. does it hurt more than getting your ears pierced? and like idk just tell me what it is like and what i should know. also for girls does it matter what ear? thansks
xTakemeawayox answered Saturday August 26 2006, 7:03 pm: to be honest for me the cartlidge did hurt worse then my ears and in fact my bellybutton. but tht was just my opinion. but for any other information there really isnt any except keeping it cleaned all the time.
for girls i dont think it matters what ear but i generally see them wit it peirced on the left side thts what i have. but its your choice.
bitterxsweet answered Saturday August 26 2006, 5:43 pm: it doesnt hurt at all. i got my 1st one done at claire's last november. its just a pinch, then you just have to be careful when you sleep so you dont lay directly on it for a little while, and when you brush your hair and stuff. i did my second one myself with a needle in june. that one was a little more sore though, but i did it slowly and didnt just shove it through haha but neither one of them has gotten infected. just take care of it well & you'll be alright. and it doesnt matter which ear;; no one really pays attention to that anymore anyway. but my 1st one was in my right ear. Last time I got my ears pierced at the store, they fucked it up & my ears got infected. So, I did it on my own. But, I would go to an actual place where piercings are done, because if you get it somewhere like Claire's, it'll suck.
FrEe2bMe answered Saturday August 26 2006, 4:01 pm: Well, I would recommend getting it peirced at an actual piercing studio and not somewhere like Clares. At Clares and other similar places they are going to pierce you with a gun. In many states, it is actually illegal to pierce anything but lobes with a gun. You want to get it with a needle. Doing so eliminates or lessens the risks of developing a "bump" on the back of your ear caused by the pressures of the gun. Also, with a gun you can only get a stud put in at first. It is painful--more so than just the lobes, but it's not terrible. It will be throbbing and very sore at first and you will not be able to sleep on that side for possible up to 2 months. You should never twist the piercing like places like Clares tell you too. Make sure to clean it how you are told to do so. And generally, most girls get it on the left, but it really does not matter. Best of luck. :) [ FrEe2bMe's advice column | Ask FrEe2bMe A Question ]
